2022 Bronco Takeover Silver Lake Sand Dune

- For the first time we joined the Bronco Takeover event for the Silver Lake Sand Dunes this weekend. This is the 8th annual event and we are told the biggest one yet. This event exceeded my expections and I definitely plan to attend next year's event on 8/4/23. It was cool seeing the Bronco Raptors in the show and at the dunes as well.
Note: The stabilization on the GoPro10 Hero Black really hides how rough these dunes are. Cudos to Ford and Zone off road for my suspension soaking it up nicely.

I was there early Friday and later went to the show and shine with my cactus gray sasquatch. I didn't have the time to do the two day event. Surprisingly, I got bored at the dunes quicker than expected. I'm more into trails moreover sand dunes. Got it off my bucket list however.
Yeah, I only stayed about 3-4 hours. I couldn't spend a whole day there. But TBH, I'm the same way at Badlands Off road park in Indiana. You can only do the same obstacles so many times without getting bored.
I miss goin out on the dunes....
I was in Michigan city this weekend at the boat races I saw a few broncos there I been wanting to go and take my bronco to badlands but i know nothing about trails or rules I just ride dirt bikes there with friends every now and then Silver lake is also on my list togo soon But i have to learn more about the truck So i don’t look to stupid lol
Where did you get your flag and mount?
I got the flag in the video from one of the stores near the dunes. I now use the Handy Flag quick disconnect kit. The mount itself came from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard
@@BirdDogOffRoadAdventures I'm looking at getting this mount since it looks the easiest to install/uninstall and doesn't need a pool noodle to protect anything. Making a trip up to Silver Lake with my Bronco from Florida! (Have family up there, so it's worth the drive). Are you still happy with that mount or would you recommend other options now?
Also, are there likely mounts like this at shops at Silver lake, or is it best I get one ahead of time?
@@Pecola1FromScratch I'm happy with it. I have seen more like it out there as well if you'd rather shop around for the best deal.
Do you remember what was your tires PSI ? Look like you need to reduce the air a bit
The video has a screen shot of the tire psi in it. They were set at 15 psi each which is the maximum the park recommends. I could have went down more, but these 37s were working really well even at 15.

Here in the Arabian Gulf we have sand and only sand PSI 10 to 13 on 31-33 tires is the perfect spot but never try on 37, in my opinion 4x4 hate more than 35 on real sand condition..

Looks great. Wife just got her 23 Big Bend Sas. Trying to find a bracket for the flag is hard :( Possible anyone can help me out?

Does that air pressure sound not bother you?
TBH, I don't notice it most of the time in the truck. The GoPro was mounted on top of the light bar is the reason you hear it so well. If I was rock crawling or even driving normally, it wouldn't be going off as much. Having it in Sand Mode and flooring it kept those turbos spooling really hard, lol.
