William, I absolutely love your breakdown and appreciate of Dimash’s voice. I am very pleased that in Dimash’s training, he wasn’t boxed into a specific primary range or vocal technique, giving him the vocal fluidity that he has today. I am in complete agreement with you, that is how vocalists should be trainied because, in my inexperienced opinion, this strengthens each area of the voice and doesn’t restrict or cut of the other ranges❤️. The beginning and end of the piece feature instrumental imitations of the sounds from Outer Space as recorded by NASA, creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Dimash uses only vocalization to make this a prayer/meditation/contemplation for all people, regardless of their language or spiritual orientation. Words often divide us, but music has the power to unite. The purity of Dimash's voice, the genius of Igor Krutoy's composition (at the piano), the choir, instrumentation, and staging all combine to transport the listener to a higher plane of existence. Wow, 68 Ave Maria settings from 7 eras... but now 69! I mean, this song is on the same high level as Schubert's or Vavilov's (Caccini's) Ave Maria... also beyond all spirituality, just wonderful music.
* Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash.
When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count.
“On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy.

It's good that in this review you analyze each note and explain. Many people say that Dimash is not from our planet, or they consider him an alien. I would argue with this, because this level of vocals is quite achievable, and it's a lot of work and a lot of work on yourself. But he is so trained that he completely owns his voice! Yup, that is a great tongue position from him when he was on that powerful D#6, very beautiful arch of the back of the tonge! Also, his head voice is one of the best head voices quality that I’ve listened to. Of course his mix, his chest, bass, and whistle are wonderful too

I was so shocked by her comment, I no longer think she’s very intelligent. Even if you don’t care for this type of singing, how can you not hear the beauty with amazement. Igor Krutoy composed this 'Ave Maria' for Dimash at Dimash's request. It is not a Christian prayer as in Schubert's composition. This is composed by a Jewish man and sung by a Muslim. The premiere of "Ave Maria", as well as the song "Stranger" took place at the annual contest "New Wave" - 2021 (Sochi, Russia). The vocalization of "Ave Maria" by Igor Krutoy (the author at the piano). Maestro Krutoy's composition has more structural similarities with Vavilov's Ave Maria (Caccini), which is still performed by many singers. Maestro Krutoy collaborated for many years with Cho Sumi, Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Aida Garifullina, Dmitry Hvorostovsky (1962-2017). Maestro Krutoy wrote many songs for Dimash and sees the singer in the genre of "crossover", and not just the king of neoclassical pop music or opera. Dimash is a professional performer in all three directions, successfully mixes them in one composition and at the same time does not experience any discomfort when performing in any language.

His teacher Marat Aitimov is very smart - he teach Dimash to relax his voice, his chords, his breath every day... all his childhood before Dimash became adult. And even now Dimash has a rest time for his voice.
As for Ave Maria
This composition was written by order of Dimash. Moreover, the order was very specific. But as always. As in the case of Fly Away, Dimash describes in detail what the song should be about - right down to the words that should be in the lyrics. And even hums a melody.
In the case of Ave Maria, the order was as follows: without words, without a clear resemblance to similar works.
Meaning: to show the beauty of music in simplicity. The simplicity and versatility of music. For example, you can play a masterpiece on just two strings - like a dombra or kobyz.
If you listen carefully to the melody, you will hear that its construction and composition are very simple: two lines of four notes are repeated all the time. These two lines are connected by a transition of two or four notes. Only the tonality, subtones, overtones and colors of the voice change. Those. the whole melody is built and depends on the voice and capabilities of the performer. By itself, it is as simple as a phone book.
Further.
The whole composition consists of four parts:
1. Voice acapella
2. Voice + piano
3. Voice + piano + chorus
4. Voice + piano + chorus + orchestra.
And in the final - again acapella.
Everything else is vocalization from Dimash. This is his personal work.

Wonderful Reaction and Commentary...It was Dimash who asked Igor Krutoy (the pianist) and #1 composer in Russia (who came out of retirement to work with Dimash whenever possible--he has become a mentor and almost like a father) to write this vocalize version, which I feel is brilliant on the part of Dimash. I understand that Krutoy took the major chords from both Schubert and Gounod to establish the base of the composition. Because there are so many languages on the planet, Dimash didn’t want to actual words interfere. Just notes and emotion - therefore, it becomes a universal performance that everyone can feel.

Loved this, you didn't do some weird scream of "amazing" 45 times.
I have listened and watched Dimash for years now. I never fear he will hit a duff note or screw something up. He does gymnastics with his instrument, usually all in one song, but what I love about his music is the instruments he uses, they are old and come from his culture, you don't hear them much if at all now a days, the choirs, (most just bring in backing singers) and song's so complicated where only Dimash can be the back up singer. 😂😂.
His music videos again always tell a story, some about his culture or he does pop songs and bursts into rap. Irrespective of what he does, he produces the best stories within these songs and delivers them so well.. You just don't see this in today's music or singers if at all. He is slowly bringing back some avenues of music which was slowly dying in modern music.
Dimash is well balanced and totally focused on producing music. Very kind, humble and you won't hear of him falling out of a pub, high on drugs with three girls on his arm. William, I love your breakdowns on Dimash's technics, and speaking of the 4 registers, I understand them, but when I listen to Dimash, it feels and sounds like he only has 1 liquid register that he can take from his lowest baritone to his D8 ( yes, D8, you can witness that in a song called Unforgettable Day, at Gakku : czcams.com/video/u52XDilf628/video.html) It comes near the end of the performance. That one liquid register I spoke of, what i mean is that it never sounds as if he is going from one level to the next, it simply keeps flowing up and up without breaks or separate levels of his register. I hope I'm explaining that well.
Also, some people have claimed that Dimash's voice is auto tuned, or the mic is correcting his voice as he sing. That video you showed with Andrea, is filmed on a phone, with no mic.
Did you see your twin brother ( Igor Krutoy) he looks a bit like you, He is the genius behind that composition.

I just now realized the meaning of breathtaking, found out I couldn't breath for a while. Thank you for your insights. This is light.
I've been following Dimash's performances for five years and never tire of the same ones, especially when people encounter S.O.S. as their first Dimash experience. It was lovely to come back from vacation and find a nest of your Dimash reactions. I've seen a lot of good reactors, especially vocal coaches, but you really capture the awe of hearing him. As you noticed by going from S.O.S. to Olimpico, his supernatural voice at 22 has become richer and deeper on the baritone side. We never know where he and Krutoy will go next.
