In this video, we examine some more parts from a 3-liter SC engine. We inspect, measure, crack-test, polish, and assemble the crank and connecting rods.
We also look over a 4-rib magnesium oil pump.
    Everything works out just fine.
Enjoy the inspection. Thanks for watching, commenting, liking, and subscribing.

Really appreciate the more detailed videos on how to do stuff, good job! What did you do to "dress" the oil pump gear? At 11:58, you talked about ware on the case, how was that taken care of? Keep up the good work.

Hello, very cool video. What is the tightening torque of the oil pump screws?

hi, another question here, do the rods go on either way, number up or down? ps the vids keep getting more pro, and the sound effects were awesome

no it does not matter the rods will go on either way. I like to put the numbers facing up. but thats just me.

On this one.. which is a different car from the damage rocker car, It has about 150K on it. It had the top end rebuilt around a 100k. Around 150 I had 3 headstuds break. Rather than just doing the top end I decided to split the case and attempt a full rebuild. Klassik has been great cleaning, inspecting, and in the case assembling lots of component on this car.

@@frankmoron5787it was noisy all of a sudden. I checked the valves and that is when I discovered the broken headstuds. Happened between valve adjustments apparently.
