In the book, we never get his name, and he just went there and named him after the Blackmailer's Charter. Perfect foreshadowing to the end of their story arc, very in-tone with the, let's say, expressive names in the novel, but also absolutely devastating on an emotional level.

Lillither He has to flee the country as he has been outed to the police as gay. It’s so so sad because many gay men had live in secrecy as otherwise they’d be sent to prison or even, not long earlier, killed. Such a heartbreaking scene. If you don’t watch the film, I’d definitely watch that moment.
