I rly liked this movie. I think it had unique characters and twist. And nearly all the sins ab the character of kids actually were the reasons I liked the movie so much. I think they were portrayed very realistically, and felt like real characters. The boy rapping weirdly, the girl trying to be artistic.

This movie would've been way better if it ended like this: The visit has all these unseemly weird occurrences and odd/scary moments but the end of the visit goes well. They send the kids off on the train home. Once they get there the girl edits her film together and shows it to her mom and that's when they all find out that the real grandparents were never there!
That would have been *INSANE*. I would never see a studio greenlighting that though...
Sin: That shed is full of diapers, yet it's implied that Nana and Pop-Pop killed the real grandparents only a little before the two kids arrive. Either Pop-Pop shits a lot, or the real grandpa had the same problem, which is very unlikely. *ding*

i actually liked the rapper thing. It made the boy more human and child-like, because he's just a kid and kids nowadays are into that sort of stuff. That's because i'm a kid myself lmao, and though i'm not into rap, my classmates are and i can say it was accurate. Also, for those who say "the ending was so surreal!!! those kids could never make a rap song about their trauma!!". It's true that some kids would be traumatized, and the boy even admitted that for weeks he was traumatized himself, but i can say that it's really realistic the way he handles it. @Sam Weaver: Computer technology isn't new. Those 70+ year old grandparents were in their 30's when the computer infrastructure for the Internet was building up during the 1970's. They had plenty of time to learn.
