This arc is getting better with each event. Tails and Amy's investigation was short explored, but at least the main point here was established - they know who's behind Clean Sweep Inc. and they only need to contact Jewel in order to confirm the identity of the other faction and warn her about it. A fake Phantom Rider has appeared and I'm so glad some of the cast wasn't stupid enough to deduced they were the same; I mean c'mon, did you really think you could get away with it with your Omnitempus and non-hardlight scarf, Mimic? The Rogues figured a part of Clean Sweep Inc.'s plan and I hope to see what will be their contribution in the upcoming issues. I love Surge and Kit's interaction with the little kid. They saw how others can see them as good influence and that is giving Surge a new change of thought that is mixing with Amy's talk about the element of choices of their own, and Kit's response still shows how bonded he is with her. This can become a big problem, once the truth comes out and they are seen as evil; that will blow a fuse on Surge's emotions and she simply gives up on the hero business. Tangle and Whisper's conversation shows us a bit of evole and devolve on the concept of trust. Tangle's action was the correct one, ever since the first issue of the arc, when she herself questioned the gear problem but didn't speak in order to not cause trouble for the team; as for Whisper, not trusting in herself shows the devolving towards her first appearances in the comic, but also she admits she trusts Tangle, which is a good thing. The mask recordings were a blessing in disguise, since it showed the differences between the Sonic-Phantom Rider and Mimic-Phantom Rider. Another event and another new mode that can help on a supposedly new Riders game - EX Dodgeball; the player not only needs to be fast, but also needs to learn how to control the gear, becoming one with the wind. I like this concept, but if they want to pull it off, then we must need some established rules: standard EX Gears, 3-5 lives per player, a limit of 2 balls per game. This mini-game could become the new Rocket League style of game, if they could get a huge support on online multiplayer. As for stages, the one presented here as potential, but we could also include other locations like an old Eggman base with terrible traps, a huge beach zone with killer whales; so many ideas, so little time... Also, the Eggstreme Gear showed a lot more gadgets than we thought. That could make his challenges a lot harder, like in the boss races from Crash Team Racing. So in conclusion, Clutch's plan has been discovered by three fronts: Tails & Amy, the Babylon Rogues and Tangle & Whisper. Things are going to get tough and could get ugly in the next event both for the heroes and villains: if Sonic gets discovered before presenting the evidences, then the public image on the Restoration will turn from bad to worse, giving Clutch more power in order to takeover it; if Clutch's plan is presented to Jewel, Clean Sweep Inc. will suffer a huge blow that could end in the oppossum's arrest or escape, and the same goes for their supporters.
I really enjoyed this issue. The Rogues concluding that since Sonic stands against CSI, they have to be bad guys was the most surprising part for me. It makes sense yet I did not think that'd be what they'd conclude from that reveal. Also, Surge and Kit taking more of a liking to being seen as heroes. After everything they went through, I just like seeing them happy in a non-"hurting others" way. Lastly, I really liked the scene between Whisper and Tangle (granted, I like pretty much every interaction between those two since I really love their dynamic and relationship) and that they are finally starting to have suspicions, too.
Both The Babylon Rouges and Jewel aren't as gullible as they appear, as they both suspect Cleansweep is up to something bad. the difference being that while Jewel is more sensible and correct in her suspicions and investigations and also doing it completely for the right reasons, the Rouges are doing it for the sake of glory and don't actually have the full story, and also though Sonic figured EVERYTHING out
Honestly, with every Issue, I am just looking forward to your Reviews even more, the further we go, this Arc has truly brought in my intrigue, i hope this sticks the landing, Also, I am just further convinced that this Arc seems to be the one that decides how this entire Plot that was built up in the Last Arc will go, can’t wait to see.
I freaking love how Clutch, this B grade villain, genuinely thinks he can actually beat Sonic. Good luck with that, pal. You may have been a big name back in your time. But you’ve never faced anyone like the blue blur.
@@reggielacey2235 But at least they’re out on the field fighting him. Clutch has to rely on others and never gets his own hands dirty. Yet he acts like he’s so superior to everyone else. Even the one hedging who has saved the planet countless times.
I also think that sonic should maybe tell silver how mimic looked like because silver saw duo’s eyes change colours twice and it could potentially make tangle believe the accusation that silver and whisper did against duo back in issue 64
A good issue. I wonder if Eggman will make a surprise appearance as he loves to do, throwing an even bigger wrench into this. I suspect his eggstreme gear has surveillance stuff built into it, he's probably watching all of this from sonics perspective. If thats true, he knows whats up with Mimic and might end up being the one to expose him, eggman has been hunting mimic and nows his chance to get him. Maybe thats a long shot but it feels like it would be poetic.
That's what I've been suspecting s d saying since the phantom rider appeared. Eggman has a secret scheme up his sleeve and that Phantom rider suit is part of it. He can't be trusted.
I really do like this issue a lot. I don't know where to begin. I guess I can start with the Phantom Rider. So I love how they revivals the Phantom Rider and I like how Sonic's friends are reacting to this. They trust Sonic knowing that there is a reason of why he's doing this. The Babylon rogues were able to piece it together about what Sonic is doing. And the look on their faces were priceless. And so basically they're going to explore what's going on with this whole sweepstakes and try to claim the victory for themselves while they're at it. And for Belle revealing that's Clutch is behind this and Tail and Amy piecing together that there are the ones who are tampering with their board. And for Surge and Kit, Surge is realizing that she wants to be a hero since people are really liking them and want to be heroes the right way. And for the best for last, I save up the Diamond Cutters. Let me start off with Lanolin by saying that she does not speak much in this issue but we can see through her face and body language that she is not happy. And I feel a little bit bad for her because this Phantom Rider is just making her upset and causing chaos. And I like how duo is messing with Lann's thoughts And I like how Duo is messing with Lanolin thoughts in general. I like how Tangle is taken aback after the revival but she chooses to not tell anyone except Whisper. Which Tangle is the goat for doing that by the way. She is afraid to tell Lanolin knowing how she will react to this information. But I like how Whisper revivals that these two Phantom Riders are different people. And she's afraid to tell anyone because of the last time. Afraid that she will be unheard like what happened with Silver. She says that she doesn't trust herself as much anymore only the mask and the only person that she can trust is Tangle. And I just love that Tangle is just so supportive and just there for Whisper. It was just so adorable that she was there to give her the confidence boost. I find it cute and I ship it. But I feel like the next issue or the next issue after that would wrap up this arc and secrets would be revivals. Because this is heating up to a enormous revelation.
the one thing that me laughing in this issue is Lanolin catching Ls and karma at the same time for being a terrible leader to the Neo Diamond Cutters and man the moment it's revealed that Duo the new guy whom she's been defending and protecting from everyone including her teammates who has much more experience than her accusing him turns out to be a grown ahh octopus and an infamous criminal/child killer, her fear of failure and self doubt is gonna maximize when it happened, i like how Lanolin is being kept under Mimic and the writers thumbs from realizing the situation and being manipulated to stay in line Mimic himself is digging a much deeper grave than his debut with him intentionally putting people in danger and framing Sonic for it as well as taking the advantage to get a rise out of Whisper and pushing Surge and Kit under the bus by shape-shifting into her can't wait to see him get turn into fried calamari the moment he realized he had no where left to hide and any excuses to give and about Whisper's reason to why she didn't record Mimic tripping Silver tho i feel like issue 63, 64 would've make more sense if it was Tangle who saw Mimic trip Silver instead of Whisper but i digress good to know they're starting to catch onto to something even the Babylon Rogues are on their own mission to expose Clean Sweep's Inc and man Surge and Kit it won't be easy to walk out their deal with Clutch judging by the recent previews for issue 72 but the final straw that finally make them betray Clutch is that he knew nothing about their past
whats funny is he'll probably be ditched by Clutch when Clutch finds him no longer useful. He's fully aware someone like Mimic will betray him so he's probably got a disappearing act ready for him.

Forget Clutch! Mimic's the one who needs to die! He's a MUCH bigger scumbag than Clutch AND Starline! Plus, his only purpose in this comic is to keep Whisper in fear, thus keep her from character development! He's overstayed his welcome ever since the end of the Tangle & Whisper mini series!
if whisper is the one who gets to kill Mimic i hope tangle doesn't stop her or better yet Eggman sends Metal Sonic after him since he did fail to kill Whisper
Indeed he must, for what he did to Whisper and Sonic in issues 64 and 71 and for taking advantage of Lanolin's lack of experience, fear and intolerance of failure and short sightedness to manipulate her and make her hated amongst the fandom
@@user-tq4hw2hb2jNo it ain't Mimic, it's the writers that are marking her hated amongst the fandom. Mimic is a great villain and to be honest I wanna see drive a wedge between Lanolin and the duo because I feel their better without her.

@@beckthetinkerbotI’ll go further and say she has to die because of Mimic’s actions. That may sound harsh but hear me out.
Both The Babylon Rouges and Jewel aren't as gullible as they appear, as they both suspect Cleansweep is up to something bad. the difference being that while Jewel is more sensible and correct in her suspicions and investigations and also doing it completely for the right reasons, the Rouges are doing it for the sake of glory and don't actually have the full story, and also though Sonic figured EVERYTHING out
Honestly, with every Issue, I am just looking forward to your Reviews even more, the further we go, this Arc has truly brought in my intrigue, i hope this sticks the landing,
Also, I am just further convinced that this Arc seems to be the one that decides how this entire Plot that was built up in the Last Arc will go, can’t wait to see.
I freaking love how Clutch, this B grade villain, genuinely thinks he can actually beat Sonic. Good luck with that, pal. You may have been a big name back in your time. But you’ve never faced anyone like the blue blur.
I mean surge and kit, the rogues, all can kill him
@@reggielacey2235 But at least they’re out on the field fighting him. Clutch has to rely on others and never gets his own hands dirty. Yet he acts like he’s so superior to everyone else. Even the one hedging who has saved the planet countless times.
Yeah! No geriatric sewer rat and his army of top-heavy buckos is gonna physically overpower Sonic the Hedgehog!

Two Phantom Riders was genius in many areas.
As always some great analysis, brother! God bless ya and Jesus loves ya!
Because this is heating up to a enormous revelation.
the one thing that me laughing in this issue is Lanolin catching Ls and karma at the same time for being a terrible leader to the Neo Diamond Cutters and man the moment it's revealed that Duo the new guy whom she's been defending and protecting from everyone including her teammates who has much more experience than her accusing him turns out to be a grown ahh octopus and an infamous criminal/child killer, her fear of failure and self doubt is gonna maximize when it happened, i like how Lanolin is being kept under Mimic and the writers thumbs from realizing the situation and being manipulated to stay in line
Mimic himself is digging a much deeper grave than his debut with him intentionally putting people in danger and framing Sonic for it as well as taking the advantage to get a rise out of Whisper and pushing Surge and Kit under the bus by shape-shifting into her can't wait to see him get turn into fried calamari the moment he realized he had no where left to hide and any excuses to give
and about Whisper's reason to why she didn't record Mimic tripping Silver tho i feel like issue 63, 64 would've make more sense if it was Tangle who saw Mimic trip Silver instead of Whisper but i digress good to know they're starting to catch onto to something even the Babylon Rogues are on their own mission to expose Clean Sweep's Inc and man Surge and Kit it won't be easy to walk out their deal with Clutch judging by the recent previews for issue 72 but the final straw that finally make them betray Clutch is that he knew nothing about their past
@@sophiaho2341 Mimic is a demon is whispering in her ear, this is gonna be all kinds of awful what's gonna happen next
Imagine all of the worse things Surge has done in public view gets blamed on Mimic. 😆
whats funny is he'll probably be ditched by Clutch when Clutch finds him no longer useful. He's fully aware someone like Mimic will betray him so he's probably got a disappearing act ready for him.
At least with everyone is focused on Sonic for the moment. Leaving Amy, Tails, and Bell to focus on shutting Clutch down without much interference.
A potential color palette for the Phantom Rider as a playable character. 9:31 - 9:48
Great review as always ✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️✨️
I guess you may not do a review of the first Ken Penders Lara-Su Chronicles volume (Beginnings), I guess.
Does anyone even WANT a review of that?!
It’s crazy how I was right about jet
Android 17 and 18 start turning onto a new leaf! The dumb birds gang proceed to become dumber! Sonic has been unmasked, Lesbians renew their relationships! Duo manipulates a sheep in Wolf's clothing! And Amy continues her investigation skills! How long before Sonic is in trouble an unmasked in the public eye find out the next thrilling issue of Sonic the hedgehog issue 72! [I hope my fusion of fairy tale recap slash Dragon Ball Z recap did fairly well]
Hmm, are they really getting dumber, though?
@@Max1996YTWhat makes you think that?
@@loiiysailor1177 Based on what the Babylon Rogues know about Sonic, it doesn't seem like an illogical conclusion to make
@@Max1996YT Jet knows what type of person Sonic is, is not that hard to put two together tbh
Do NOT insult the Birds' intelligence when they know what's going on and Sergeant Haggis Bags DOESN'T!
Hopefully when Clutch goes down in issue 75, he gets the same treatment as Starline, but we get proof that for real, HE NEVER EVER RETURNS AGAIN.
Forget Clutch! Mimic's the one who needs to die! He's a MUCH bigger scumbag than Clutch AND Starline! Plus, his only purpose in this comic is to keep Whisper in fear, thus keep her from character development! He's overstayed his welcome ever since the end of the Tangle & Whisper mini series!
if whisper is the one who gets to kill Mimic i hope tangle doesn't stop her
or better yet Eggman sends Metal Sonic after him since he did fail to kill Whisper
@@pas6fis_rainbow728 Oh, it'd be more than poetic for Mimic to get killed by the guy he sided with in order to AVOID getting killed.
Allright let go
LFG!
Mimic got to be stop.
@@beckthetinkerbot duly noted. I guess I was being too in comic universe. personally I hope said wedge does not last. A brief absence from the mainline comics and a mini-series I'm okay with, but I don't want Lanolin to be written out for good
what happen to Sage? Sonic Frontiers? she seems to play alive for both endings why is she never in the comics?
Because all these events take place in the timeline between Sonic Forces and Sonic Frontiers. Sage hasn't even been conceived yet.
Then why do the writers keep making nobs to Murder of Sonic when that takes place after Frontiers but we see the conductors family.
@@beckthetinkerbot I don't know I didn't write the damn series. Maybe the crew isn't up to date.
Maybe the Conductor's wife is seen before the Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog.

@@pas6fis_rainbow728 1 of the villains from hazbin hotel.
Personally I am not a fan of giving them redemptions since IDW's lack of major villains is still a major factor.
As long as they don't die and Mimic DOES, I'll be okay with it.
i mean id prefer this for them rather than dying tragically and then becoming irrelevant afterwords. Its not just redemption for Surge and Kit, its continuing the arc of actually becoming individuals rather than slaves to hypnotic suggestion.
@@ORLY911 Honestly, I would like it if they started sort of an Anti-Sonic & Friends, perhaps with the Skunk Brothers?
Edit: Basically think a loose alliance of pre-drinking age delinquents.
0:05 what's the title of the theme?
Wish their were more plans with Belle. Fuck Lanolin im glad mimic is manipulating her. Tangle and Whisper I still care about. I think Surge and Kit will be anti heroes. Dont care much for the Babylon Rogues. Sonic has been exposed, msybe he should consider nothing making alliance's witj Eggman anymore cause if Lanolin finds out she'll haye him even more for working with the villain.
considering she is unwittingly working with a villain herself, she'll soon find out and wont have any leg to stand on criticizing Sonic. It is the bureaucratic system that Lanolin enforces that's caused the whole mess.
@@ORLY911 Yeah, one that she half made up herself! Literally NO ONE else in the Restoration considers her militaristic attitude necessary! She ought to join GUN if she wants to act like that!
@@ORLY911- you mean how she asked for evidence from both Whisper and Silver to help justify their claims that Mimic is Duo and to also justify their actions on causing him physical harm.
@@ORLY911That's why in my opinion she needs to be removed from the team and the restoration. She's nothing but an unnecessary third wheel. Tangle and Whisper are without her.
@@beckthetinkerbotI’ll go further and say she has to die because of Mimic’s actions. That may sound harsh but hear me out.
For a series where the power of friendship and teamwork are portrayed as noble virtues, we never had a situation where those virtues are twisted into something selfish and toxic. It would actually make a powerful lesson about the danger of the fake friend and how destructive they are to one’s character. Have some actual consequences come from this masquerade.
Show the young readers that people like Mimic do exist in the real world and they’ll ruin your life if you happen to know them. A wolf in sheep’s clothing.
