- It's Friday night-the big rivalry game between two Arizona high school football teams. The quarterbacks are opponents tonight, and tomorrow one of them will baptize the other into the Church of Jesus Christ.

Elder Uchtdorf is a wonderful example and has been a great example as an Apostle of Jesus Christ. How blessed we are to have him and all the young men who live the gospel daily that may some day take his place as an Apostle of Jesus Chris

A tender example of how it should be everywhere. I was moved by the compatibility of opposing quarterbacks, and by Pres Uchtdorf's words.
It is great to think all are same that there is hope for all to be together that there aren't any walls to be in the way that we all can live together

I know I can personally learn from this video. My school has a huge football rivalry with another school (the games we play against each other have every seat filled, and there was even news station coverage because it was such a big deal). When I meet members from that other school, it's really nice but difficult to put the rivalry aside and just enjoy each other as good people. It's very admirable that these two exemplary young men are able to do that without a second thought.

This is amazing to see that so many people watch this and that Brandon and Teren still are blessing lives even after all of this. I was able to Teach Brandon and was there for the Baptism, WE believe in Jesus Christ and know that onlly in and through him can we be forgiven of our sins, we also know that we have a Prophet of God on the earth to lead us just like the Lord has always given to lead his church on the earth.
I absolutely loved this video, it makes me want to do the same (including shooting hoops :) God bless you for making such good decisions, I pray you will be able to do the same your whole life !!! AND ME TOO!!! And blessings for your wonderful parents.

I watched this with my family and we have close connections to the region of Safford, AZ, so we recognized the places they mentioned and it was awesome. Even ignoring the familiarity, I thought this was a really great video, well made and with a great story. I think that competition between teams is fine, but intense rivalries are bad for all parties involved. The fact that these two boys can overcome the expectations to be rivals and be brothers in the gospel of Jesus Christ is just awesome!

The school i go to is that same way. I come from Show Low and we have a dog fight with Blue RIdge every year. But i know after that game is over that i am still best friends with some of the lds guys on the team, school, and helpers. I love this video and it helps out my friends and i always remember that even thought that we come from differnt school and that our schools dislike each other that we will always still wear the same jersey even thought we don't go to the same school.

OK there must be 2 thatchers because I live in thatcher, Utah and my thatcher doesn't have a football team or even a field so

@SourPickles928 we're not quite the "christians" that most people think of...but we do believe in christ! we believe in following his teachings and striving to become like Him. if you have specific questions, they can easily be answered at Mormon.org where there are tons of resources about the LDS church and what we believe. you can even find contacts for people in your area to answer your questions :)
