【上賀茂神社笠懸神事】
馬上から矢を射る「騎射」の１つであり、より実戦的で高い技量を要する「笠懸（かさがけ）」を実施します。上賀茂神社の笠懸は、約800年前に後鳥羽上皇が同地で「笠懸」を行った故事にちなむもので、日本で唯一、笠懸を神事として奉納している貴重な伝統文化です。
このライブ配信は、「上賀茂神社笠懸神事」を令和4年度日本博主催・共催型プロジェクトとして実施することで、実現しました。弓馬練達の射手たちの技量を御覧ください。
Kamigamo-jinja Kasagake Ritual
There will be a Kasagake performance which is one form of archery on horseback of high skill, a technique practical for battles. It is said that Gotoba Jyoko performed Kasagake 800 years ago at Kamigamo-jinja. It is an important traditional culture being the only one Kasagake performed as a ritual dedicated to the gods in Japan.
The live transmission is realized due to the fact that the Kasagake Ritual is presented by the Japan Cultural Expo project and co-presented by the Japan Equestrian Archery Association, the Japan Arts Council, and the Agency of Cultural Affairs, Government of Japan. Please watch the technique of the experts of archery on horseback.

素晴らしい神事です。皆様の弓術馬術の鍛錬に感動します。
しかし政治家の祝電を発表する必要が有るのでしょうかしかも英語でまで。

高校日本史では必ず「流鏑馬・笠懸・犬追物」と3点セットで習いますが、実際、流鏑馬は観る機会があっても笠懸は上賀茂さんだけということでとても貴重ですね。
射手が右斜め方向に射るのはとても難しいはずで広く海外の騎射映像を見てもなかなかありません。
「味の素」さんが後援とのことですが、企業協賛が伝統文化保存とインバウンド誘致の一石二鳥につながるなら、とても結構なことですね。

一応今は群馬県みどり市でも弓馬術礼法小笠原教場一門による笠懸は行われています
