- The Iceman could get buckets so easily, he made every game look like an All-Star game. Come for the finger rolls, but stay for the superb jump shots from 18 feet.

If anyone tries to tell you that Kevin Durant or any player today would be too small or thin to survive in an earlier decade, just show them this video. Gervin was a supremely skilled player who weighed about 100 pounds, and Alex English (who you can also see in this video) wasn't much heavier. I hope you guys enjoy the silky-smooth finishes and dazzling layups!

Thanks for the uploads my friend
Are u gonna upload again ?
@@justapatsfan4595 If I ever have time to make videos, I'll start uploading again.
He was very hard to guard.
A lot of his shots the ball doesn't even hit the rim.
He can shoot from all ranges long, mid range and can dunk too.
He was the best to watch.
No elbowing. No pushing.
Just smooth clean shots.
Ice was the best.
Best scorer in NBA history. Shot 52% career fg%. A shot for every occasion. For 2 shots taken, Ice got you 1 bucket.
Jerry West the logo, one of the greatest that ever did it. Gave the Ice Man the ultimate compliment. West told Ice that there wasn't many people he would pay to see play, but Ice was one of them.
70's = most underrated era.
Another amazing video, this from a person who saw George Gervin's entire career.
Martin Luther King Jr. High school Detroit alum right here! #Crusaders baby
The Ice Man was so tall, he could shoot over ANY guard !
So smooth, so athletic, so graceful. Iceman could do it all and was so fun to watch!
Thank you very much for this video, I really enjoyed watching it.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It's a shame that there isn't more footage from Gervin's prime in the late-70s. Gervin aged better than a lot of guys, but his athleticism was on another level in some of those earlier games and it helped him around the basket.
@@PockyCandy It's true, he was always a good athlete but at his peak he was a freak. He dunked on people like it was nothing, which combined with soft touch made him unguardable inside. Not that he lacked jumper either, he was excellent shooter.
Yeah I agree with 70's fan I really enjoyed watching it myself!
I followed Ice since he was playing for the Virginia Squires I followed Ice his whole career and I was at the Hall of Fame when Ice was inducted I'm his shotgun man from Brooklyn New York City and I look like James Silas
The iceman is a One man show way to go George G !!
Could you please do another expose on vintage DR J NBA highlights....people have no clue today how great the oldschool pro basketball players were!!!! GREAT VIDEO!!!!
George Gervin was lighting Michael Jordan up in the 1985 All Star Game!

That’s unbelievable that his weight on Google is 180 pounds(82Kg) and Curry is 190 pounds(86Kg)

The first T-Mac
So smooth, great iconic follow thru, super awesome finger rolls, double clutch, burn two players guarding him, unbelievable shots made, he seemed like a coiled snake - he can shoot the ball at his 7' extension all the way up to his stage of liberty extention, he always knew where the basket/backboard is, super soft touch, even if the ball hit the rim and the commentators say at first he miss- then it bounces up and rolls/bounces around the rim and in, he lived off the bank - backboard, complete range anywhere on the court, almost had a euro-step long leg strides, almost never missed a dunk, very clutch if its a close game, if he's hit he's unstoppable, never complained
