I really hope there put more DLC characters

If they do, they better add king Bob-omb and hammer bro along with his alts.
I really hope this will happen! There's still a small chance... you never know with Nintendo, with it being the last wave and all they can surprise us with anything and or anyone they want....
For characters I really want to see Paratroopa and ROB back.. to show some love for the older games... since they haven't appeared at all in the recent titles.
Also, no one has actually mentioned yet about the two empty item slots which appear on the custom menu.. which perhaps could get announced along side the new tracks and the possibility of even more characters in the final reveal trailer. New items such as the Mega Mushroom and Giant Banana would be an awesome pick imo.

I doubt there’s a possibility of this being added, but I’m really hoping for Spike. He was playable in Mario Party 10, AND included as a wearable Suit in Mariokart Tour. Even tho they likely won’t consider him, there’s always a chance
My theory:
They might also mix two of the same character (just different genders into one slot) and just keep the same row. Adding another row kind of blocks the character preview so I don't think they would add another row.

Who says, you know, that the charakter screen has to be a rectangle? They just could add a new row with only two charakters.
Honestly, I would like if they surprise us with baby wario and a brand new modeled baby waluigi, but that will never happen.

Okay, answering that final question, then these are my most wanted characters (besides Pauline, Kamek, Petey Piranha and Peachette, because they're already in)

The only one of those 4 I would like to see is King Bob-Omb. As for the other 3 I would like to see added if we're getting 8 characters this wave (which was my original thought once I saw 3 characters added in Wave 5), this is almost too easy. Ninji, Wart, and Captain Falcon.

With all the non American trailers saying “8 courses, 4 characters” it’s doubtful, but it would be absolutely swag to see king bob omb if anyone lmao
Keep in mind that this is just a teaser trailer. They might show more in the full trailer. We'll just have to wait and see I guess

You’re leaving out the possibility that they just have a new row with 2 boxes + characters and the rest is just nothing. If they do have 4 more racers I would choose Hammer Bro, Nabbit, Poochy, and King Bom-omb!

Peachette is canonically a version of Toadette, not of Peach. Will never happen.
What aboutChargin Chuck? In my opinion it’ll be cool to have Charging Chuck in the game at least in my opinion I know there’s lots more characters to pick as well that want to be in Mario kart eight deluxe

Honestly the only thing I’d love to see now is character skins, especially with Toad and King Boo because I want my Yellow Toad and I’m sick of seeing generic King Boo knowing that the cooler, edgy Luigi’s Mansion King Boo is way better LMAO
Alright so this is the same thing with the items a year ago where people think we’ll get more stuff I don’t think that so here’s how they could do it
#1 Just shoving the extra characters to the side. (Like the Mii’s in MKW)
This would look super weird and this is probably the last update so the game would look like that forever
#2 FK and Peachette are alts
I could see this happening Peachette being an alt is fine. but Funky? (I saw someone say this) It’s like making Luigi and Alt for Mario since they have the same last name and look similar. Like they’re different characters.
#3 Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach are alts
This would make the most sense because they’re the same character “oH bUt ThEy HaVe DiFfErEnT sTaTs” well look at the Wii U version the villagers had different stats and they were alts so what? I also saw someone say they could rearrange the roster to make it look better I think that could happen only thing is the people without the dlc the icons would be everywhere.

I think this is the least likely. In the Europe version it said “8 Courses + 4 Characters” so it’s probably 4 characters but if they were to add more characters they would probably be

Also it was leaked awhile ago we could get 4 characters with tanooki Mario and cat peach being alts + if you play as Mario or peach the tanooki or cat variants won’t appear
I think that Metall Mario and Pinkgold Peach would definitely fit more as alternate Versions. They are the complete same Model, only with a diffrent overlay colour and in tour there are a lot more of these gold variations.

If we do get more characters, Rob and Poochi are my number one picks. I would love to see them come back in 8 Deluxe.
