Yes! Subtle! That's exactly how I described it on my Reverb review. Just got mine today and compared it to my TC Helix. I now love both for their different abilities.
Now you need to start doing Empress effects. You don't know what your are missing!

I think i prefer the Kma audio Horizont, but if you don‘t need the destroyed kind of sounds and the envelope stuff, this is a pretty fine phaser!

I just watched Bret Kingman's 5 minute demo of this pedal. He showed most aspects of the pedal in a concise video. You gave the same if not more information plus half an hours entertainment which is a big reason I like your channel so much. Now I am begging a favour. When you get home from swigging crap coffee in Santa Monica, would you please, just for me, test your St Vincent pickups outputs for me? I have the Stirling version and I think the ohms output is a bit down compared to yours. Lastly, most ladies of my acquaintance prefer more width and less speed! See ya!

The pickups on the US St Vincent are a little lower output than the import.
Thanks Mr Tee, I thought there must be some difference as the depth of tone from mine is not as rich as the one Henning owns.

Ya it probably is the best phaser ever. Id still rather just have a block letter phase 90 though. What do i know though? Play what you wanna play and rock the world with it.
OMG I had to hear clean tone during 21 minutes... Why peoples are always playing clean with pedals, they all sound great with clean : it's easy! I only judge a pedal on high gain mode.

k.alberto it is a matter of feel. This one blurries a little to much the line between phaser and vibrato for my taste. Plus it is not fastidio enough for some configs i may need.
This one has 4 and 6 stage phasing in addition to vibrato and vibe

Nnnnoooo!!! Another Music Man St. Vincent!!! World's fugliest guitar! I've been playing guitar for 50 years and never before have I encountered a guitar that I wouldn't try, or found truly offensive in it's repugnant design. This makes three videos now where I was distracted from the pedal I was interested in because of this eye-sore. But this guy is cool, and it's a great pedal

WELL! Sending it back. Seems all pedals sound good on CZcams. This one turns out to be a dog, plus it has a really noisy switch. At least the third time I've been fooled by a video.
I like other walrus pedals but this has to be the worst phaser pedal made.
