hi, good moorning, i have a ford bronco II with 2.8L cologne carburated, and i need the specific carburetor the correct cfm etc...... you can help me to choose the correct one? thank u very much
I bought two power valves from you. One was unidentified that looked just like the one that was in the original carburetor. I installed that one 3 weeks ago. I thought I fixed the carburetor, nope, I took the carburetor off again to find gas in the cap. Checked the powervalve and found it was not closing all the way. The plunger part leaked. I can return it for your inspection if you want. I just put in the other one I got that tested good on the bench. This one is half of my vacuum at 20 so I got the 10 /5 two stage. Hopefully this one will work with no issues. I think the unidentified 2 stage powervalve you sell eather opens with very high vacuum pressure or a defect and that's why it's not marked in anyway .
hi thank you for the info .i have a 1969 f350 with a 390 ..what is better the 2100 or the 2150..it has a 2100 me but has all the crap a 2150 has..im confused and just wanna know which is the correct 1
I don't know if you still answer questions about this, but my 1966 mustang 2100 2bbl carb is beyond repair. The only reasonable replacement I can find is the 2150 carb. Will I need to make any modifications to make it work on my '66? I saw a post online that some guy had to reroute his fuel line, but I don't know if you need to block off any of the excess emissions lines on the carb. Thanks.
I know the 2100 comes in two different venturi sizes. They are cast into the side of the venturi casting. The one on my 390 Ford was a larger one. Any into on which applications had which?
Thanks Just rebuilt the 2100 on customer’s 1970 351 Cleveland Ranchero Gas pouring out the breather What float level do you recommend and ever do a “wet” running float adjustment, like they mention in the shop manual?? Need answer asap Thanks 🙏
Hey Mike, I have a 66-77 MC2150 2bbl off a ford bronco which had a PVC port driller half way through the carb base but not completely through i.e. No vacuum or suction when I place my finger over the hole. Should I complete the bore and add a spout for a PVC connect or just leave it closed? Thanks
Hey mike thanks for the video! I have a 64 f100 with a 292 y block and I have to replace my 2100 because I can’t a whole choke assembly and I can’t find the old school 2100. I just bought a 2150 will this still work on my truck?
This is somewhat off topic but do you know whether any 351C 2V air cleaner assembly will fit any 351C 2V Engine or is that dependent on whether a 2100 or 2150 carb is installed. In other words... do they have different sizes? And question number two: My '72 Mustang Grande has an electric choke pull off (thanks to you I know its a 2150 now). Do you know when that got introduced? I am not sure its the original carb. Many thanks for your great videos!
I have a 2150 that did not have a id tag, I am having a hard time finding a rebuild kit. This is on a 1976 ford f150 and autozone think my truck has a 4 bbl.
Interesting but I've been looking for a 2150 choke set up video..I'm having an issue getting the idle up when on choke. Is this an unloader adjust? I do know I have a bad pull off mines in the mail atm but that won't increase the choke idle when cold.
Are both carbs emissions legal I have a 1982 ford bronco 351w I want to gut the eec3 CA wireing and go with the dura spark 2 so I'm pretty sure I need to get rid of the stock VV carb that is ran by the computer so if u have rime pls let me no and if u have one in stock
This guy I know named Marc already has a couple two barrel carbs. It would be great if he could score a good 500cfm (Marc likes low end torque) annular booster AVS Edelbrock and a weiand or Edelbrock intake at 1990 prices but since he doesn't live in fantasy land he just uses what he has.
Thanks Mike, another great video! My 78' F250 with a 351M has a 2150 on it, but it is needs rebuilt and my friend has a almost new 2100 that he will sell cheap. Can it be made to fit in place of my 2150?
I see the difference in the two. My issue is that i have a 77 302 with a bad intake manifold and there is a guy locally that is selling an intake for a 68 302. The 77 uses a 2150 and the 68 uses a 2100. I'm wondering if there is an adapter that will seal the back side of the 2150.
You give the greatest carburetor information on youtube. Love the straightforward presentation and clear camera/audio work! Thanks!
You guys are great! I have purchased quite a few carb parts from you, I really appreciate the videos and information. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, Mike. These videos are great. I'm the owner of a '77 F150, and this sort of thing helps a lot. Great video.
Thank you for the vid. Very helpful and to the point!
You are the man! Exactly what I needed. Subscribed!
Thank you for clarify things on 2V carbs. Are they flowing different CFMs?

Excellent! Thank you!
I’m sitting here at my kitchen table in 2023, overhauling a 2150, but I wasn’t sure if it was 2150. Now I’m sure, Thank you!
i have a 1970 f250 that had a 2100 in it and i bought a 2150 for it will the 2150 work and if it does do i have to hook it up differently

The back of mine is straight across but has the shallow power valve cover, I'm trying to get the proper rebuild kit

Ok thanks!
37+ years ago I had a 2100 "style" that had large venturis similar in size to a Holly 500 CFM 2BB
Any idea what it was ?
Actually found some on EBay they are early 60's 390, 400+ cfm
When did they stop using a hot air choke.?
So helpful

Mikes Carburetor thanks mike! I got the truck fired up the other day now I’m just getting some fin tuning!

TheUmbrella1976 I'd like to know the answer to that question myself.
Hey mike can I email a photo of a carburetor that I'm having difficulty finding? Maybe you can tell what is in the back of it
Thanks Mike you just save me from wasting over $100 on Amazon.
I have a 2150 that did not have a id tag, I am having a hard time finding a rebuild kit. This is on a 1976 ford f150 and autozone think my truck has a 4 bbl.

It helps
Is there an adapter to put a 2150 on a manifold meant for a 2100? Can the throttle and kick down parts switch over from the 2100 to a 2150? Thanks!
Thanks a bunch!

@@MikesCarburetor well that's great Mike, I look forward to it. Great info as always and thanks again..
which is better? You'd think the 2100, simpler and less emissions crap.

What about internally
Can I put a 2150 on my ford 352 that d a2100???
Yes, match the venturi size stamped on the side of the carburetor.
OOPS! I forgot about the mount. You would have to find an adaptor to fit your manifold which would be very hard.
Thanks I have the 2150 now I know
Welcome!
Can I use a 2150 on an intake designed for a 2100?
I see the difference in the two. My issue is that i have a 77 302 with a bad intake manifold and there is a guy locally that is selling an intake for a 68 302. The 77 uses a 2150 and the 68 uses a 2100. I'm wondering if there is an adapter that will seal the back side of the 2150.
I have a adapter that I'm going to use on my 71 Ford truck it came with a 2100 am going to put a 2150 on it and it as a 302
