Juiced & Juiced 2 are great racing games for both consoles and the psp. You can also exploit the HELL out of that game with your racing crew to win every race, and the customization for your cars is superb.
+This Is C-Money! It's not bad, played on the vita with dual sticks it's cool. It's just that you have to set up every race yourself. The whole story mode is t there, but it's still good for the races. 60fps racing is cool.
I found your channel about a month ago and that's what got me back into PSP! Now I have 2 system 1000 model and sliver 3000 and as of today I've got 60 games (waiting for 20 more to come in the mail) buying more and more everyday.
Nixed Career mode, Most cars are copies of skylines/rx7s/civics/etc, 4 player max per race, no online mode. I love GT series and always purchase one since the 1st game but the PSP version is not the greatest out there, infact for me it's one of the worst GT games. Still a good game, but there are much better choices on PSP.

Flatout head on is my absolute favourite! You think you play on a small xbox 360, so nice grafics and gameplay. Also: Sega Rally Colin McRae Rally Gran Turismo
Great list. Outrun has that universal appeal be because it is so easy to pick up and play. And I always enjoyed the burnout games as well. And of course millions have been entertained by the various versions of riiiiiiiiidge racer! over the many years, going back to the original arcade version
Spent a long time remembering a PSP racing game I loved as a kid but I could never quite remember the title. Thanks to this video I can finally get Split Second and have all the fun I had playing it years back all over again
Juiced Eliminator os one of my favorite PSP games of all time. The quarter mile drag race is so fun with it's pink slip races. You can actually bet and lose your cars in a quarter mile. So fun...and great to do local WiFi multiplayer with friends.
It's funny, I just got a PSP again about a month ago and I've seen a lot of new PSP related videos on YT. Great video! I'm loving all the newly released PSP videos because PSP truly is an amazing console and it's the best handheld I have ever played and sadly is a very underrated and under appreciated console. It's incredible, costs $100, has a huge amount of amazing games and almost all cost $10-15 and under. Great list! I have to add WipEout Pulse and Need For Speed: Most Wanted 5-1-0.

I would suggest Initial D Street Stage for the PSP its a port of the arcade game Initial D Version 3. I haven't played the PSP version but I do love the arcade version. Good mix of Eurobeat, tons of cars, but sadly it's only in Japanese.
actually this is a very good psp "arcade" like racer since it brings all the tight controls (easy to get in to hard to master) on the go... i never played the arcade machine but this is what i made from the reviews. i highly recommend street stage on the psp!!

Ridge Racers 2 on PSP is the definitive version of this game. Its one of my favorite games of all time, top tier Ridge Racer game. The music, the presentation for the time for a handheld, the handling, it's a sublime arcade racer. Maybe not for those who seek a Gran Turismo fix but man if you like games like Outrun or Daytona USA (y'know those kind of games) it's a must have for PSP owners.

+MetalJesusRocks if you install custom firmware on the psp u can hit the select button and dedicate more cpu resources to your game, this pretty much eradicates frame drops (slowdown) for me.

Hi MetalJesusRocks, did you know that Outrun 2006 Cost2Cost come up on PS2 as well and you can even transfer you saves between PS2 and PSP by USB cable. They did with that game same thing as they doing now with Vita and PS3, you can play and unlocking tracks on PS2 and take it on the go on PSP without loosing save.

Nice list! PSP is just awesome if you´re into racing. Personally, I would have dropped WipeOut and Race Driver for World Rally Championship and Sega Rally, but thats just because I prefer (arcade) rally racing over futuristic "battle racing" or simulations.
Did you know the "Dino" was originally a lesser model than the other ferraris, meant to be a more affordable option usually reserved for their cars that did not have v12 engines. In time it became one of the greatest ferraris ever made.
seriously race driver 2006, IS a hidden gem. I'm really surprised that not many people know about this game, i wouldn't call this game as close to gran turismo, however it does feel a lot more like Grid, since after all they are the same developers that made this game, grid, and the dirt series. love this game.

Yep Test Drive Unlimited supports online play on the PSP. Never did try it though...because I bought the game only recently... and my router doesn't seem to like 802.11b
Ridge race was my first game on the psp and i remember just to LOVE IT it was just at the time one of the best games on the psp!Need for speed carbon was too a really good game but at the time when i got it i 't played it so much but now like 7 years later i am half done with the hole game and its great!But wait...where is juiced 2?It was like the need for speed underground 2 without open world!It was one of the GREATEST race gaming!

Not exactly a racing game but racing to complete an objective(eliminating enemies) while driving. I highly recommend pursuit force. One of my favs. You probably have it though :)

Flatout: Ultimate was a very good Burnout-esque racer that made the portable transition well. I'll be playing some of these games though.
