@@chrisnaples2838 For real. He's talking about millions, billions, trillions of years even an infinite amount of time when he says "ever". The Grateful Dead had their time and their crowd. I liked going to the shows and festivals more for the setting, meeting people, substances, etc. than for the actual Grateful Dead's music itself. A LOT of the people that attended felt similarly about that. The music is alright, the vibes are great.

Jerry’s whole musical delivery just got better with age. The ‘79 Jerry was like his version of heavy young adult, ‘83 Jerry was the graying but light filled old man, and ‘89 Jerry was the fully developed Buddha Bear of Divine Musical Grace. He may have not been the healthiest as he got older, but there can be no doubt his playing just aged like the finest Ripple in the dustiest old bottle. I just miss his presence more and more as I remember how unique he was.

I was thinking about this today, what if the keyboard players HAD to die to keep the dead alive
Take a look, the dead went through so many styles of playing in their 30 years of playing , mostly because of the change of keyboardists , and it reinvented their style and made it even more exciting as the years went by !!!

This line up was my favorite era of the Dead, I was searching for Tennessee Jed live with Brent Myland. I wish that the band intervened with Brent and Jerry's addiction issues, but it may have been too late anyway? Thanks for the upload
