Great video! So glad you warned everyone about linseed oil fire risk. My uncle was a 50 yr fire fighter and I still remember his stories about spontaneous combustion. He went to many fires caused by oily rags. Keep it original ! I have a 67 Chevelle with similar patina that I also plan to keep original. Money is going into the drivetrain and interior ! Peace
Wow, my first car was a 67 Pontiac Lemans, same color. Bucket seats console, no post frames for the side Windows. Had three chrome lines of trim on the rear fenders like your Tempest but closer to the doors. Started with a 326, then a 400 then a 455! Thirty years ago. You have brought back a lot of memories. Thank you, I'm subscribing now.
Love the wheels and tires... Keep em. My first vehicle was a 65 gold tempest with a 326 2brl , 4door, with chrome rims. When I see yours it brings back many fond memories.
I'd love to have a Tempest like that. I like the older patina condition and it looks rad...that's my favorite year of those and G.T.O.'s Good tips on the glass and linseed oil. Love that it's a daily driver too!
If we all had plenty of money and no other responsibilities all the cars would be perfect but in reality we do what we can....grow up and think before you lip off...you must be young and don't get life but you will as you get older..... maybe?
Liv, your Pontiac is NOT a piece O' junk! And I miss her hubcaps👍 The Tempest definitely has the Cool Factor going on. and I would be SO tempted to have it painted if she were my car. But then I'd be so afraid to take her anywhere, so I think you have the right idea, keeping her patina🙂
Hi Liv, great video, really enjoyed it. Love both you and Danny and the video's you guys put out, you do a great job of showing and teaching people what you do and why you do it. Don't pay any mind to those few that just don't get the whole "natural" patina look of a true classic hot rod, what they don't get is that by leaving the car the way it is it tells its story and its history of what its been thru and the life its lived. When at a show I always see people drawn more to the cars that have a story to tell than to the ones that have had their story, background, and history erased with a shiny paint job, those cars are boring and leave you nothing to really look at. Keep up the good work you two.
I really love the fact that you are going to leave the car the way it is patina, dents and all. It gives it a certain charm plus it makes for a great sleeper car.💯👍
That was a great video liv , tempest looks great ( so do you ) also loved the way you talked while you were working, your story on getting the car was great ❤❤
Love classic old cars too! 75' thru 79' had several to drive to high school in. My 64' Buick Wildcat 455 with 4bl rochester carb was marshmellow white with baby blue interior. Given to me by a family i baby sat for. I detailed it with compound and turtle paste wax. chrome was in mint condition .
Awesome girl that is a beautiful car now that you polish it up I love the old classics they don't build them like they used to the old classics are the best
I have a 65 lemans, 326 pwr gld. My aunt and uncle bought new In Ohio. My cousin drove it for a few years and took good care of it. After several years of doggin her about the car, she finally gifted it to me with the stipulation that I never sell it! No problem!!!!
I think the car looks great just like that so really don’t give a damn what the haters say. Some people are just jealous because they don’t have the car or your good looks, so very cool video
Your ol temp test looks sweet pretty girl just saying ok that ol girl needs a beautiful paint job and redo that interior but it's yours beautiful do it your way keep these VIDEOS coming
That was really nice and you're pretty cool you're as good looking as the car turned out don't find many young ladies like you that are willing to put in all the elbow grease that it takes to keep old Pontiac looking fine like yours some people might look at the old cars and think that they have to be perfect but this car has character the way it is and I think you have pretty good character I wish you were my girlfriend it's not often you find a young lady that has an interesting cars or has an interest in cars like I do I'd love to share my interest with yours thank you for making this video I thoroughly enjoyed it😊
Aside from all the great car content, your tops are always so cute on you. It's kind of your signature look. Have a friend with a nice 67 Tempest but he's kept the inline six. The lack of two more cylinders doesn't bother him a bit and it always gets a lot of attention at local car shows. Nice you kept the OHC 6 badges. Bring out the old Cuda.
Spray the car with a satin clear coat that way you can preserve the patina look for years to come plus washing would be much easier now that its got the clear. also satin is softer color wise so won't turn out bright shiny. Seen a few cars and trucks done this route looks amazing we have a local detail shop owner with is early 70 chevy pick u plooks flipping killer.
LOVE your videos you would benefit us viewers with creating lists of videos under the tab youtube provides would allow for us to bing watch individual video themes like all the video including the tempest. Just opinion hopefully you take it as helpful advice. Think it's amazing to have channel with men and women together saving amazing Americana.
Beautiful job. I used to hate petina cars but they are growing on me. What is the song at the end of the video. I know I know it but just can't remember where it came from.
The OHC engine that came with this car was a real rarity .John Delorean was the division head of Pontiac and wanted the straight 6 for the Firebird and your Tempest. The engine cost as much to produce as the V8 and American`s thought "Why get a 6 banger when you can have a V8". The 6 was lighter and with a 4 barrel carb it made 250 HP which was good for the Firebird`s handling.Something tells me you didn`t save the engine, could have been worth more than the 326 that was in it.
Patina isn't my thing , glad you like it. A simple stock paint job would be great , leave the patina to the tri 5 's. They all look better than a new tesla. Enjoy your channel ,keep up the good work.
You should try Pentrol. It is an additive for oil based paint that is designed to remove brush strokes. Like the boiled Linseed oil it wipes on, the results are similar, but it is stated to last up to 10 times longer. Make sure you DON'T get the latex version, get the one for oil based paints. Home Depot carries it but the only Ventura County HD that I found the oil based version at was Simi Valley. $15 for a quart and it should do at least two cars - maybe more. As to those who complained about the "'Patina" look...., yea, right, as if everyone had $10,000-$15,000 sitting around in a piggy bank and were just too lazy to shake the funds out. I learned long ago that I'll show up to Cars & Coffee with my Patina cars and people will say, "It will look great when you get it finished." Then they will turn to the near perfect car next to me and find numerous flaws. Paint will always be available, these old cars are disappearing. I'd rather have multiple old cars that one with fabulous paint.
Nice job Olivia! Hey what if you were to give it a satin clear coat on the paint. Since you don’t like the real shiny look. Then you wouldn’t have to linseed oil it.Just an idea Sweetie! Nice informative video!❤😊🌹🇺🇸😎👍
Never try to paint it after putting all that oil on the body, A new paint for would probably require a tank dip in acid to remove everything To not cause hugh fisheye issues.
Your videos are a lot of fun Last when I watched, I noticed your speedometer and tach do not work. Is there a future show when you’re going to put some fancy upgrade in?
Patina work is for artist. Them big shot body n paint dudes are hella smug. It goes against their thousand years of experience they all spend time fluffin up. Your ride is a beauty. Stay unique. Fuck runnin w crowds. ✊
Since you don't need to worry about your car's paint, using paint thinner might take that road tar off your fenders. And when I wash my car, I'll use a little Dawn Dish Soap in the water. It's cheap.
It lasts a couple weeks in my experience. It's something you have to reapply. You could go with a wipe-on clear coat or something more permanent but I like the linseed oil because I don't want my car to look *too* shiny.
How to make your patina car look like a million bucks. Step 1. Get you a really hot girlfriend to stand next to it. Step 2. Watch that really hot girlfriend do all the work. 👏 👏 👏 👏
Sprayway is no doubt the best glass cleaner! Love that stuff.

Yep, I loved your burn out, awesome. Good clean up on your tempest 👍 the finished job, it's a sparkling Patina Pontiac ❤🎉🫠
Thank you!
@@GnarlySpeedShop you are so very welcome 🙂
Looks good it gives the car a stylish look I love it

The how to make your patina car look great is to paint or apply some of the vicegrip garages clear coat on it. It's wipe on or you can spray it on 😂
❤❤❤❤❤❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍👍👍👍
That cigerette dispenser is super cool and look great there
Love the wheels and tires... Keep em. My first vehicle was a 65 gold tempest with a 326 2brl , 4door, with chrome rims. When I see yours it brings back many fond memories.
Rubber comes off super easy with the mechanic’s favourite detailer. Brake cleaner! lol
I'd love to have a Tempest like that. I like the older patina condition and it looks rad...that's my favorite year of those and G.T.O.'s
Good tips on the glass and linseed oil.
Love that it's a daily driver too!
Thanks olivia,she's looking sweet.
I was born in 1967, and would love a vehicle from that year as a daily driver!!! For now I’m living vicariously through you! 😢😂
I like the two-tone color of your seats
The wheels, in my opinion, look great!
Shiney rust isn’t my thing but, I’m glad you like it
If we all had plenty of money and no other responsibilities all the cars would be perfect but in reality we do what we can....grow up and think before you lip off...you must be young and don't get life but you will as you get older..... maybe?
If Big Wave was mine, she would have some spoke wheels. Daisey's would be sweet.
Cool patina. They need detail as well.
Kicking butt on the GTO Tempest, Olivia. Great job 😊.
Thanks for the comment, Olivia.

Great idea for a video Liv, thanks for sharing your talents with us. Very satisfying seeing the finished product!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Keep the steelies! Love the look! Also I had those MT tires on a Plymouth Fury, they're great as I'm sure you know.
Looks beautiful ❤
Your car looks great ! Love the patina! You guys do great work!

Looking Great 👍 Nice Job Olivia
Thank you! 😊
I'm liking that Pontiac more and more!!!
Vise grip has the best product for your patina.
I'm Not New but HI Babie Squirrel and Hi Tempest, I have eyes for a Pontiac love me a Firebird 😍 ☮️ from Ohio🖐
Some nice chrome baby moon caps would give the car a great vintage look too!😎👍😊
My dad always told me the same thing about the windows. She's a beaut 🤙
Thanks Saxon!
Nice job, 🌊 looks great! I would like to see Hank and Slayer out for a drive or maybe maintenance on them etc. 🍻

Awesome car !!!!
Tip for burnouts, put painters tap on the inside of the wheel wells so rubber doesn't stain the paint.

Pretty cool... 🍻
Patina is not my thing. I would leave it parked until I could get it painted. Glad you enjoy it
There’s this stuff called “automotive wax” that’s designed to “shine and protect” car paint. It works great on patina.
Nice view car isn’t bad either
I think the car looks great just like that so really don’t give a damn what the haters say. Some people are just jealous because they don’t have the car or your good looks, so very cool video
Thank you

Love that body style. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
😂..."today I'm going to be washing my crusty ass car."
I really like the front mats.
That was really nice and you're pretty cool you're as good looking as the car turned out don't find many young ladies like you that are willing to put in all the elbow grease that it takes to keep old Pontiac looking fine like yours some people might look at the old cars and think that they have to be perfect but this car has character the way it is and I think you have pretty good character I wish you were my girlfriend it's not often you find a young lady that has an interesting cars or has an interest in cars like I do I'd love to share my interest with yours thank you for making this video I thoroughly enjoyed it😊
I AM NEW ..HI AND HI PONTIAC ,, GREAT!!!!
Got it looking good Olivia. But the body is really straight. If you decided to repaint. The patina looks better than dingy for sure.
💯💕👍👊

Love it ❤️ owatrol is also very nice on patina ✌️
You have a nice sleeper car. Someday, I'll find a sleeper car for me.

Wow, very nice job. I thought you had a clearcoat on it. Go's to show you learn something new every day ✨️
Thanks 😊
Don't forget to do the rear veiw mirror.
Nice
...that dodge is such a huge boat anker it would take 2 black bird jet engines to move it through the quarter in a timely manner
He's just a tip, Always start on top (roof) than rinse, than all the windows, working your way down to the bottom, Than do your tires last.
I usually do that but I'll be honest... I did a lot of stuff out of order because I was so focused on filming and getting shots. 😅
I am going to take a wild guess and say that you are a Prince fan. 😉👍
Love your Pontiac. And that burnout was dope 💯

I think Cragar SS wheels would look great!

I’d make that cigarette case into a cover for the line lock actuator and then have the dispenser button activate the line lock.
I did this with WD40 on old paint. Also a great result

And then I was watching when you change the colours and fix the shifter light

🧐...Uhhhh "classic" piece of junk missy... thank you very much 😳🤣🤣🤣
Big shout out from Texas...
Hahah thanks for watching!
I bet you don't have a piece of junk to wash especially a classic
I have my 55 Chevy on a diet so I use olive oil!
Since you don't need to worry about your car's paint, using paint thinner might take that road tar off your fenders. And when I wash my car, I'll use a little Dawn Dish Soap in the water. It's cheap.
Speaking of tri-5s are you guys planning on attending POL's tri fives and coffee event on June 22nd out in Corona?
How long does the linseed oil last?
Lookin Good!! Keep up the video’s I enjoy them!
Thanks Lisa!
So liv the wheels look great 👍🏻. However the early American mag wheels looked great on GTO s & lemans in the day 🤷🏽♂️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
Doesn’t oil collect dirt / bugs? Won’t it eventually run and come off? Just curious?
It lasts a couple weeks in my experience. It's something you have to reapply. You could go with a wipe-on clear coat or something more permanent but I like the linseed oil because I don't want my car to look *too* shiny.

Does the linseed oil not attract dust etc.? Because it’s kinda oily?
Yes Sir!!!
I need your detailing skills in nor cal 62 impala needs a good cleaning
Love your videos an love your classic car's
Can you still still want to wash it still or sponge to wash it?
✌️🤙
How often do you have to reapply the Linseed oil
How to make your patina car look like a million bucks.

Don’t change wheels. These look great!
What do you use on your dash? Do you like Armor All or similar products?
Yes
Just curious maybe you should throw some new paint on that bad baby
When ya gonna knock out some of those whiskey dents? It would improve the looks a lot.
When you paint it back the same color
