- The Mavericks with Trisha Yearwood perform the classic Frank Sinatra and Nancy Sinatra duet "Something Stupid" at the ACM Awards in Orlando, Florida on April 24th, 1996.
Raul Malo .... Mavericks .... *sigh* thank God I got to see them live finally after 25 years of waiting for them to play near me, before Covid shut down live performances! The best band and the best voice on earth! Then and now in August 2020!

Great version but they could have turned up Trisha's mic just a bit.
That’s not the problem. In this song the female part is sung quieter because it’s lower. Listen to other versions to really tell.

Yes, she was married to Robert Reynolds for five years until she dumped him for Garth Brooks. I met Robert many years ago in South Beach, what a nice guy. I'm sure he's moved on and found a great woman!
@@montanamtngirl Robert Reynolds had a substance abuse problem...alcohol I believe. Eventually, the Mavericks divorced him too.

Finally saw him in Charles Town, WV casino, Raul solo in Birchmere in Alexandria, VA and will see him and Mavs in Red Bank, NJ in June, whoopee. If you can see the Mavs on their 2022 tour this spring and summer DO IT, a fab show.
