Wahoo!
Love this formulation, Marie. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
:D this one goes from "Oi, finallYyY, thick enough to pour" to "Erm. It's a rock now"
Final product is amazing though. I added a drop of peppermint essential oil. I like my lip things to be minty :)

how wonderful is this im going to make this right now i have coffee oil for my under eye serum
Enjoy! ❤️
It came out wonderful
Hello! I loved this video!
I read the blog post but I do have an unanswered question so I figured I'd post it here and hopefully you would respond haha.
Can this recipe be used for any flavor lip scrub if I take out the coffee oil and just replace it with more light weight oil and the flavor oil be added to the cool down phase. Would I still have to add 1% more lightweight oil if using a flavor oil?
Looks absolutely wonderful! Like cookie dough ahaha
As a side note, I'd love to see you tackle homemade sugar wax. I've been trying to make it several times but since I have very little experience with homemade cosmetics, I've only ever managed to make hard candy 😅
Thanks for watching + I'll keep it in mind-thanks for the suggestion!
Oh me too!

Hi Marie, I find using Caster sugar results in a smoother gentler scrub.
I just blend my reg sugar in a blender
Yup, it definitely would :) I like this level of scrubbiness, but if you're looking for something gentler that's a very easy swap to make. Happy making!
Thank you for the amazing receipt.
How long can it be stored for?
You'll find the answer to your question in the blog post that's linked in the description box below the video ;) Happy making!
I love that it's very solid. Ok, this is a weird question, but could this also be used as a facial scrub/mask? Or maybe even a scalp scrub?
I don't think it would work well for either-it's too harsh for the face, and would leave my hair very greasy. I've shared formulations for facial scrubs/polishes, face masks, and scalp scrubs and those are far better suited to those tasks :)
Thanks for sharing, Marie. Is the coffee oil, coffee essential oil or a carrier oil infused with coffee?
This is covered in the blog post (it's neither!) :) Happy making!
Hi Marie, I have tried sugar lip scrubs earlier but my lip scrubs tend to crystallize on top making them look mouldy even though i know they aren't moulds. I used brown sugar. could that be the reason? why do you suggest against using brown sugar? Could i add oil soluble preservative like Preservative ECO (Benzyl Alcohol (and) Salicylic Acid (and) Glycerin (and) Sorbic Acid) or Spectrastat G2N (Caprylhydroxamic Acid (and) Glyceryl Caprylate (and) Glycerin) just to be extra sure the crystallization i thinkn isn't actually mould?
What a great question Aakriti. It's a shame Marie didn't answer you.
Do you have a recipe for making a mixing medium? You know, the kind clear gel type to mix with loose pigments :)
Not yet!
What preservative do you use with your lip products?
Up until this point in time I've formulated my lip products so they don't need preservatives. I have an FAQ on lip product preservatives as well, check that out for suggestions :) www.humblebeeandme.com/faq/
Can we use shea butter instead cocoa butter
Have you read the partner blog post? :)
How can we store it ? I mean how much preservative we should add into this? And what is the shelf life of this beautiful mocha lip scrub🥰 .. plz reply
You'll find the answer to your question in the blog post that's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.
Happy making!
Does it requires any preservatives??
And what's about it's self life??
You'll find the answer to your question in the blog post that's linked in the description box below the video ;) If you're not sure what that means, read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.
Happy making!
what happens if I I accidentally added more preservatives to a product and used it?
That's a great big "it depends", I'm afraid. Generally, though, it's not a good idea and could cause irritation.
BABY GIRL..... what would I do without you!?!?
😊 Thanks for watching!
