- Hello Everyone, in this video I demonstrate how to make an amazing lip scrub with a matching lip balm. I use all natural ingredients like cocoa butter, beeswax and mango butter. Your lips will feel amazing after using these two products together. These two items are a snap to make yourself and are better than store bought products! @@rhondal8887 might want to ease on the butter to help make it more spreadable but it’s doesn’t get too firm. I think it’s still useable with the original recipe.

When I have made balms in the past the balm got grainy, but I thought I thoroughly tempered it. Is that a problem with this recipe?
Can I add Vit. E oil to the lipscrub for added protection?

I never heard of lip scrub. I suppose it's better then just pullout the dead skin. So glad my lips never get that chappie, but I have seen some people do and I suppose it depends on the climate. Anyway, interesting thanks for sharing.

Hi Aashi, thank you. You can use oil based extracts in lip scrubs as long as they are lip safe. You would need to check on the supplier's website to see if the one you want to use is lip safe.

What is the shelf life of both since there is no preservative for lip products? Thanks
There is no water in these products so no need for a preservative because it is oil based. These will last about one year. They probably, technically could last longer but I wouldn't sell them past the one year mark.

Hi, personally I don't add preservatives to my lip scrubs. I don't like the idea of ingesting even a little bit of preservative. I like lip products to be as natural as possible. This product should last for about one year from the purchase of your oils and butters.

Love the lip scrub recipe but I can taste the bees wax even with my flavouring is this inevitable or do I just need more flavouring??
Hi Jessica, I am glad you love this recipe! I use the white cosmetic grade beeswax, and I don't taste it. You can't really add more flavor oil because it is being used at it's maximum usage rate in this recipe.

You can add in Ecosoya Q210 Soy Wax as well as it’s the only Soy Wax you can use in Various Skincare Products and it’s been Dermatology Tested Safe for All Skin Types. It won’t leave it feeling Greasy, it turns out Luscious.
how come your beeswax is white❓
Iv always added the Shea Butter at the end and I think the Double Boiler Method is Best.
I add in Lip Smacker from Bramble Berry as a sweetener, have you used it before❓❓
She gets her beeswax from Natures Garden and they only have white. I buy the same kind for my solid lotion bars.

Lip safe mica colorant would be better to use.
I made soap with olive oil, but it didn't dry in a few days, but the temperature was too high at 44 degrees. Can you help me 🙏💌
When the soap recipe contains only olive oil, the mixture is somewhat runny. Put it in the soap mold for 3 days .. If the soap does not freeze in the mold, put it in the freezer for 24 hours and take it out of a mold
