I felt the same way about grey when it started becoming popular. I’d see all these pictures of rooms done in grey that made me think I was looking at the old pictures of my childhood-you know the black and white ones. I thought, as I looked at them, how depressing. Finally, I started seeing pictures of rooms done in warms greys, aaaah so soothing, so relaxing. So many options in colours to choose from for decorating. I still love grey but warm greys. I understand why younger people love beige, yellow, blues, etc. because they are new to you. Beige makes me think of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.😀

I know people are over gray, but we just bought a neglected 50s style Italian country house that doesn't have a lot of natural light (why Italy, why?) with terracotta floors, espresso-colored wood beams, and dark exposed stone walls. We decided to go with super light grays that had nuanced undertones instead of white or beige to brighten up the place and balance out all those heavy warm tones. The house is starting to feel lighter and more relaxing.
I like this palette. Subtle, nuanced. I’m a big fan of saturated and darker colors, but this combo of softer colors scratches that same itch. Very nice.

I still like gray, but I spent years loving reds, golds and oranges…I’m over bright colors and loving the clean airy look of grays and botanical greens and blues.
Hey James ....wanna give us your opinion on your favourite paint brushes for cutting in and trimming ? Years ago I loved the Corona line of brushes , they were my fave , and my hubby is a Painter and he was asking me if Corona brushes can still be found ? What are your favourites I'd love to know thanks James! 😊
Corona is still available! When I was younger, I used to love these Wooster brushes with green rubberized handles. Now, I would say I'm a Purdy guy. :)
I'm surprised you chose this to go with a pale green. This morning I was looking at samples to go with CSP 830 Peaceful Garden and I found that so many whites go gray in a very unpleasant way against greens. (The winner was Floral White which has just a touch of green and you see it against clear whites or lots of other colors, but just reads as a soft white against green.) And this has been a LOT of gray the past several videos, just sayin'.
