Question for the experts ... While we looked at Revere Pewter for our basement walls (low lighting), we have to look for something in the same color, but a bit darker as our trim/doors are Edgecomb Gray. Would LOVE recommendations!

We bought 5 gals of mascarpone after watching countless videos complimenting the color. When our contractor started painting our south facing living room he started questioning our sanity. “Curry yellow” was what he called it. He felt sorry for us and offered to cover it up for free if we got a new shade.

Love all those colors I have a question when painting an accent wall dark cracked pepper- ish do I paint the trim and moldings I think if it’s not painted it will make the wall look smaller it’s in a open concept wall that joins in with living room dining and kitchen The wall being painted dark is against the wall with TV on it and runs the length of the kitchen space

I love gray. Definitely going with gray or blue-gray. I don’t want anything brown in my house and all of the creamy colors are better matched with brown.

I was going to pick White Dove for my walls .. I painted a sample on my walls ... It's Really yellow looking .... Steam or Vanilla Milkshake way better

So I placed new porcelain tiles for my shower walls and it has this beige tint to it and not white. Now my white walls clash with the tile color...think it's best to go with a wall color that is darker or the same with the tile color...do you agree? I hate to see my tiles looking darker than the walls...

We recently finished a house remodel (this week) and we went the darker route with the baseboards, casing, and doors. Frankly, we live in a very sandy area and I was tired of dirty white baseboards. The body color in the front part of the house is Plaster of Paris with a Pashmina trim, then as we transition down the hall and into one bedroom we went with Edgecomb Gray on the walls keeping the Pashmina trim. The effect is great and they both work well with the natural wood floors we installed. Just wanted to say thank you James, all of these colors I picked because of your reviews over the last several years. I wish I could have gone with black doors as I've seen in a couple of your projects, but the dust is just too much. Keep it up, love your videos, and would like to see more of your projects.

Help'. My cabinets are a light cream or ivory (factory finish. Not diy). My trim is white (builder's white), not sure of brand & color. Flooring: Hardwood Floors: Maple with a dark brown stain/finishz. Chad some reddish undertones in sunlight. I want white walls but not sure if that's a decorating mistake? I can't afford to have the cabinets painted and the walls painted! If I could I would paint all areas white. A true white. Chantilly Lace? Could white? Dove white or white dive? Simply white? Is my only option to paint the walls a color (BM) that closely matches the cabinets, a cream or ivory? Would I also have to paint the trim to match? Or next option: paint walls a different color than white/cre as m? Maybe a light soft green? I like green. I just wanted to brighten the house while giving a warmth and coziness for Midwest gray cold wintertime! The existing wall color is a soft aqua hue in the SW brand). And it gives a very chilly effect in winter! I didn't consider this when I had it painted in hot humid August 13 yrs ago. Thanks in advance!!

Would a satin finish be appropriate for the fascia part of a typical asphalt shingle roof? We have a lot of problems with mold and soot from the shingles staining the fascia and it needs CONSTANT washing.
