Alicia, I think it's good that the girls are so used to having their teeth brushed that it made collecting the cheek swab samples a bit easier for you. Your playful skill at keeping them focused and cooperative was truly brilliant. They were both quite curious to see what looked like a snack much different than what they are used to. Anastasia was a champ, but Guinevere looked like she was soon losing patience with the whole process. Ana's funny moment where she covered her face with her hands said it all. I think she could clearly see that her sissy was not enjoying it. I loved when Guin said "all done" along with her cute little hand gestures when the collection process was completed. The reveal of the test results was precious as the girls leaned in to hear. Maybe it's just me and I might be crazy, but I really think they understood what you were saying...or maybe they were simply responding to your pleasant tone. Regardless, what great news to hear that the Barton twins are identical! I'm looking forward to seeing all of your great adventures, cuisine experiences and many more firsts in 2024. You continue to bring out their personalities, they are fast learners, seem very calm, most of the time, and are happy children. I so enjoy watching your videos. It was exciting to hear they were identical. Up close, I see differences and can tell them apart but from afar, I have trouble telling them apart. What brave girls! Even though they knew it was an unpleasant experience, the sweethearts opened their little mouths again and again because they trusted their mom. Happy with the results.
That was so cute! I was sure they were identical 😉. My Gma and Great Aunt (Hazel and Nellie) were identical but one was a little stronger, and one was more delicate. Very slight differences physically and quite different emotionally and socially. They LOVED being twins 👯 and it was quite a big deal back in the 20s 😁. I grew up hearing so many twin stories ❤.
I have twin sisters who are very close! I grew up and was blessed helping my mother take care of them. They are in their 60’s now and closer than ever. One time they gave me the same exact birthday card that they bought (individually). There have always been little odd things going on with them.

I understand why you picked Anastasia first for her genetic test. As I watch them she appears to be more methodical in her approach to learning whereas Guinevere appears more spontaneous and a bit of a clown. I happened to be looking at two of your thumbnails side bt side, and noticed how much alike they looked although the videos were taken months apart. Look at Twins try Ranier Cherries next to anything recent and see how alike they look. It's like Guin is growing up faster and Ana catches up months later. I love watching them--they are my morning smiles.
it’s funny, because I can see a distinct difference between the two of them. It helped that you always put the same twin on the same side when you feed them. Guinevere has a thinner face and a little different look. And Anastasia, has a fatter face, and again a little different look. but, they are subtle differences, and I think as they get older, they were only grown more similar! I am older and my grandkids are in their 20s. as a sidenote, I was a labor and delivery nurse for many many years. It was always such a treat to assist in deliverinh twins!

First of all, Mama you are magnificent. You handled the swabbing experience with such ease. It speaks volumes for the relationship you have with your girls that it went so well with both at this young age. I grew up with friends who were identical twins. I didn't notice the differences in their looks until, we became friends. Yes, the babies are identical. I like that they don’t look exactly the same because it would be difficult for everyone. We had neighbor boy twins that were so hard to tell apart they were both called Twin instead of their name. But their personalities were so different (serious and not serious) that once they spoke you could easily know who was who. Twins are such a special gift and so connected to each other, they are truly a miracle. ❤❤
I know people have told you that you would make a good teacher, and I agree, but you would also make a fantastic nurse. The way that you took those samples was impressive!
My mother and her twin sister were called “Mirror” twins. One was right handed and the other left handed. One was slightly shorter. Although not identical, there was no mistake that they were twins and could even fool their closest friends. I Love your videos, Alicia. You are all a delight and a must in my daily routine! After I watch you all for a dose of happy reality I move on to Poppy! She helps me with depression. Poppy is the cutest little rescued prairie dog. Your commitment to helping others with ideas and know how for young mothers everywhere is to be commended. I also cooked both of my babies food. No jarred foods for them. Half the time I can’t tell them apart. I do see differences when they are seated next to each other for their meals. Their personalities are different as are their facial expressions and gestures. That’s a lot of what makes them so much fun to watch. They are each their own little person. Other than that they are just the cutest things walkin’ as we say in the South.

I believe that they have such different personalities. When I watch them, they look different. When I first started watching them it took a while to tell them apart. Trying to tell them apart, at first, kept me coming back to watch them everyday. I love watching them and hope that videos of them now will benefit them in the future.

Taught many twins in my career, and 1 set of triplets. Some were identical, some not. I had one set that were so identical that even their mother had trouble telling them apart.

I have twin sisters who are very close! I grew up and was blessed helping my mother take care of them. They are in their 60’s now and closer than ever. One time they gave me the same exact birthday card that they bought (individually). There have always been little odd things going on with them.
I couldn't tell them apart until uou talked about their faces, Ana fuller and Guin thinner. So special and I'm so glad you shared beginning to end. Have a wonderful New Year and hugs to those precious girls. ❤

I appreciate getting an opportunity to watch the twins as they develop ( I am a physician/psychiatrist) I especially love to watch their personalities which are quite different. I understand why you picked Anastasia first for her genetic test. As I watch them she appears to be more methodical in her approach to learning whereas Guinevere appears more spontaneous and a bit of a clown. I happened to be looking at two of your thumbnails side bt side, and noticed how much alike they looked although the videos were taken months apart. Look at Twins try Ranier Cherries next to anything recent and see how alike they look. It's like Guin is growing up faster and Ana catches up months later. I love watching them--they are my morning smiles.
it’s funny, because I can see a distinct difference between the two of them. It helped that you always put the same twin on the same side when you feed them. Guinevere has a thinner face and a little different look. And Anastasia, has a fatter face, and again a little different look. but, they are subtle differences, and I think as they get older, they were only grown more similar! I am older and my grandkids are in their 20s. as a sidenote, I was a labor and delivery nurse for many many years. It was always such a treat to assist in deliverinh twins!
Identical or fraternal we'd love them just as you & Walt do! They are the little treasure gems of the CZcams video world as far as I'm concerned! The whole family is a delight to watch everyday! I think it is a mother’s instinct that makes you able to tell them apart so easily. To most of us they look identical.
First of all, Mama you are magnificent. You handled the swabbing experience with such ease. It speaks volumes for the relationship you have with your girls that it went so well with both at this young age. We all have the pleasure of watching you and your husband guiding them with humor, grace, kindness, confidence and love. We've seen these traits develop and grow in them.
I grew up with friends who were identical twins. I didn't notice the differences in their looks until, we became friends. After that, the slight differences that others may not have not have noticed, made them very recognizable to me.

Yes, the babies are identical. I like that they don’t look exactly the same because it would be difficult for everyone. We had neighbor boy twins that were so hard to tell apart they were both called Twin instead of their name. But their personalities were so different (serious and not serious) that once they spoke you could easily know who was who. Twins are such a special gift and so connected to each other, they are truly a miracle. ❤❤
I know people have told you that you would make a good teacher, and I agree, but you would also make a fantastic nurse. The way that you took those samples was impressive!
My mother and her twin sister were called “Mirror” twins. One was right handed and the other left handed. One was slightly shorter. Although not identical, there was no mistake that they were twins and could even fool their closest friends.
I Love your videos, Alicia. You are all a delight and a must in my daily routine! After I watch you all for a dose of happy reality I move on to Poppy! She helps me with depression. Poppy is the cutest little rescued prairie dog.
Your commitment to helping others with ideas and know how for young mothers everywhere is to be commended. I also cooked both of my babies food. No jarred foods for them. I felt so good about giving them the best and healthy start in life.

Half the time I can’t tell them apart. I do see differences when they are seated next to each other for their meals. Their personalities are different as are their facial expressions and gestures. That’s a lot of what makes them so much fun to watch. They are each their own little person. Other than that they are just the cutest things walkin’ as we say in the South.
They were SO good with these tests. I’m anxious to hear the results!

I believe that they have such different personalities. When I watch them, they look different. When I first started watching them it took a while to tell them apart. Trying to tell them apart, at first, kept me coming back to watch them everyday. I love watching them and hope that videos of them now will benefit them in the future.
They were so good doing the swabs! To me, they are identical, besides Guinevere’s hair being a bit darker, but obviously, you can see the differences! Taught many twins in my career, and 1 set of triplets. Some were identical, some not. I had one set that were so identical that even their mother had trouble telling them apart.
