    I have the passion. Always did. Started in the early 90's, took a break for 27 years but back in the industry and absolutely loving the results of modern equipment.
    Your builds are highly motivating.

    I'm watching to this playlist and listening along on my cellphone (Google Pixel 8), and even through cell speakers I can grasp how well, open, and round this audio sounds 👌
    Can't wait to finally delve into my own, by myself, as a total SQ and audio fabrication beginner 😅 (I've installed, but only using factory locations and pods, I'll be going crazy, I'm ready for the challenge 😬)

    I am so glad you explained the time of labor, a lot of people do not understand that and when you give them a price for your labor they just think it is to much. nice job on the work!

    i totally agree. time lapsed made it look somewhat easy, but i understand how grueling and tedious they were doing such jobs yet look how beautiful the outcome then. and how magnificent they sound in the end. and that's absolutely you'll get what you had paid for, totally worth it imho.
    if only i have the money, and living across the planet what made my dream to have those killer gears somewhat seems impossible.
    keep on inspiring mate. cheers! 🇵🇭

      SQ can be achieved with cheaper gear too. It just needs a great system design and great installation. Then of course the tuning. Where do you live? I can’t figure it out from the flag.

    i've built a few pillars with mids in them, mostly on axis, and dealing with reflections off of the side windows is always an issue. for dash mounted mids like this, i suspect the relfections are so early that they're virtually indistinguishable from the point source, right?

    Hi Peter, thank you so much for all of your videos! You do a very good job on the builds as well as on educating your audience.
    Since you’ve used Steg as well as Micro Precision in your builds, may I ask which one would be your choice for an active setup with the mids and twitters in the pillars? I’m looking to compare the Steg MSS line with Micro Precision’s 7 series mid-bass and twitters plus their 5 series mid-range.
    The prices are pretty much similar, but the Steg look a bit better to my eyes. Also, the smaller magnets make the Steg more practical, especially on the mids. However, sound quality would trump any other advantage, so could you please compare the two?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  Před rokem +1

      Hi,
      7.16 is slightly bit more accurate in midbass range, almost negligible, but MSS6 can have a bit more abuse. If you want any of them in 2way, then 7.16’s midrange is better.
      MSS3 is a 4” midrange, so it’s not fair to compare to MP 3”. They are both grate in their own way.
      Tweeters are rather different. MSS1 is more transparent and detailed, while 7.28 is more natural and smoother, more ideal for a 2way system too.

    • @RazvanTase
      @RazvanTase Před rokem +1

      @@pssound9749 I think I'll go with the MSS from Steg. I'll do a 4-way active system with the three Steg MSS components and for bass I'll use Audison APS 8 D subs in the doors, below the mid-bass (in its own separate enclosure). Thank you very much for your input!

    Would dash build be a poor idea for a coax speaker like illusion C3CX? Same question for doing wideband application. Idk if having tweeter or high freq reflecting off windshield is ok? Great video Peter 👍

    • @pssound9749

    Is it "bad" to put the tweeters in the dash next to the mid? Is reflecting off the glass that bad for imaging?

  • @Arno_be
    @Arno_be Před 2 lety +1

    Hi Peter, why the Hertz tweeters (I guess ML serie) was replaced by steg ? wasn't they enough quality wise or just a matter of cutover point with updated Mids ?

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  Před 2 lety

      We used the ESB 8.028 tweeters. Hertz ML is good, but we were looking at getting something that has more revealing power, more detailed and under £5-600 there is not much else.
