    Watch all your videos has opened my eyes & mind to how much work is needed to have an amazing system.

    We love all the content.....
    Those who want more volume do not appreciate the detail that a really well tuned multi channel system produces. I have been blown away by the change in all my favorite music.....things I missed or didn't hear before!😊

      Sorry, I have to disagree. SQ people can always appreciate more volume.

      @@JasonWW2000 I do agree with you......but we try and give some customers clean systems but then they jump in and play R&B and old 90's recorded music and just want loud! Actually gone back to passive on one or two....but for the most part educating people bears fruit.😊

    Pete, as somebody that has always thought of themselves as a SQ devotee, I had never thought of half the things you covered in a quarter of thus video alone, found you searching for IB sub installs (mainly for bass), and you've turned my head 720 degrees, in the process of building a 3 way system for my work van, it'll be compromised, made up of bits collected through the years, but I've decided to do the best I can and work through the install, regardless of time constraints. You're videos give me the boost to see me through the doubts, so a genuine thank you, as soon as the financials have settled down (damn covid) I'll be over the patreon for sure, if only to repay the education thus far. Oh and while I'm in Australia, Helix stuff still ain't cheap, or at least for me, gots to love the second hand market though!

    Another home grown masterpiece, I like working with the hands,machinery is nice and can build some wonderful things but building by hand give a more rewarding experience 😀 again peter and crew thanks for the opportunity to watch you work and give us ideas to foolishly spend our hard earned money on car audio, could you do a lesson on how to hide foolish spending from our women,,lol,nice work guys

    Well, 10:10, you could potentially 3D print the whole thing. But then you need to design and draw them first. Maybe for one-offs this method is easier and faster with a better result.

    what you are doing to this vehicle is amazing and how you are explaining to us what you are doing is also great, thank you for all this information. At 26:30 what did you use to cover the hole up so you can let sound into the cabin, I was always afraid to do this to my car thinking it wouldn't do much and I didnt know what to use to cover the hole without blocking the bass again. Thank you!

    Check out the GR Research LGK 3 inch midrange. It has a fantastic csd waterfall plot. For $80 pair USD it could probably rival or beat anything you've heard.

    If you can’t get labels from a cable factory; dymo letratag label writer, iron on label cartridge and transparent heat shrinks 😉. Oops

    So the "milkshake" provides enough support that the pillars don't need reinforcing with the added weight of the speakers?

    Hi Pete, thank you for sharing all the awesome tips and tricks :D good video as always! really excited to see/hear the next video!
    i have a question if you would be nice enough to help me. my buddy has a 2-way system + sub active on a pioneer radio in "3-way mode" that we installed last weekend and i cant really get the stage to move. i either have the stage too far on passenger side or i hear it from both sides. any ideas? is it because the tweeters aim at the side windows? i thinks its because of the reflections and i told him that we'd have to build sailpanels and aim them properly. i do understand that midbass in the doors in a 2-way plays midrange aswell and doesnt allow for a good stage. but would aiming the tweeters "kinda" solve the issue or atleast make it better? he does not want to go 3-way and spend alot more money for a dsp sadly.

    • @pssound9749
      @pssound9749  Před 2 lety +1

      Quite possibly it’s tuning related. Even a 2way system with not the best aiming on tweeters can have a rough centre image. Optimising tweeter aiming can certainly help in many ways.

      @@pssound9749 hi pete! sadly i dont have a measurement microphone. but i fugured it out by now. so, i had to drop passenger side tweet -4db and midbass -2db since driver side is so much off axis, its like 80° off on driver side! now its pretty much in the middle! its by all means not even close to perfect at all but its fun to listen to music now. weird how this stuff works but i really enjoy it! i might actually have to buy a UMIC-1 and use rew in the future. i've been really really motivated the past 10months or so and now its even crazier! thanks for the help pete!

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 Před 2 lety

      @@AlexWayne1 Something you can play with is try reversing the polarity of the 4 front speakers. Do one at a time, if it sounds worse, flip it back. Sometimes the passenger tweeter responds well to being 180° out of phase. I think the Pioneer dsp allows this, if not, you might need a second person to physically hold the wires and switch them around while the other person listens. Sometimes the sound is the same, sometimes worse, but sometimes better. Its all part of tuning.

    Wow CZcams is clutch with recommendations, I’m doing a build on mine could you give me some pointers🥺, porfavor. I’m running 2f8.9 audison on my c class. Currently audison has no drc solution for controlling 2 dsps at the same time, sim Im running a twk 88 audison with the drc and control my sources and volume, my sources are navtv zen optical in, amas96k rca in, and I’m running a toopingds10 coax, but I’m curious which way should I run the cables to avoid ground loops and distortions. Should I rund a long usb to the back and keep the toppin in the back or keep in the front and run a coax to my trunk? Nice content guys
