    I love this kit. It can be finicky in parts, but a nicely detailed kit.

    When I built mine for a magazine column I did two changes... trim the inside wheel halves maybe 1/16" to set the wheels inside the wheel wells, and trim the top of the spindles 1/16" to set the front end a bit lower
    The Fairlane and '67 Comet GT kits both offered the transmission options. Good kits.

      I was wondering what I should do to get the rear wheels to fit underneath. Thanks for the tip!

    Glad I found this video.
    16:35 I agree with not having locating tabs/pins to assemble.
    Just finished mine.
    I've built many a model and this one rates a 5 on a scale of 10.

    YES, you're correct about the fit issues.....putting the front inner fenders & the springs were like that too, & the rear quarter windows didn't line up properly & they popped off a few times & I had to re glue them several times too.....UGGGHHhhhh.

      In hindsight I probably should have left them off as well.

    Beautiful, how do you paint the little lettering on the trunk and quarter panels so well. Awesome job.

      I’d have to rewatch the video to see but they might be decals? Otherwise just tedious patience. Lol

    Hi there! Do you know of a 1969 Ford Fairlane in production? Thank you, Judy in Nova Scotia, Canada

    • @Kryptosmaster
      @Kryptosmaster  Před 2 lety

      I don’t really keep up on what’s currently in production but if you watch the monthly report on CZcams that Round2 puts out, they will let you know what’s coming up.

    As a owner of a real 66 GTA I built three of these kits over the years. The kit is nice but they really missed with the back glass. The real car has a curved rear glass and roof line
    On the kit it flat. And to me just doesn't look wright.
