#faun #eluveitie #gwydion #reaction #enterthecronic - Hudba
Faun singing in German. Chrigel singing in Welsh. Gwydion was a Welsh prince and magic user in the tales with a dark history but also in one story who woke the trees. The figures in the woods are as far as I understand from German folktales and are a part of certain festivals there. One of the best collaborations I've seen from both bands.
The old man in the video is a very famous scientist in Germany and the US. He wrote several Books about cultures and nature .His name is Wolfgang Dieter Storl. He is a cultural anthropologist and ethnobotanist who runs biodynamic agriculture on his farm in the Allgäu and runs a CZcams channel. He has taught at several American universities as a lecturer, such as Kent State and Ohio University
Faun has beend around since 1999. Fabi is not gone, she is still part of Eluveitie, just not part of this collaboration. The song is from Faun's album Pagan. The singers name is indeed Laura and she was touring as a guest-singer with Eluveitie a couple years ago before she joined Faun. I think the members of these two bands are really good friends. I've seen Faun live about 15 times. They are amazing!! I really like both bands :)
Two amazing bands that sounded great together!!
I love your reaction. ❤
Faun is from Germany and they usually sing in German.
Thanks for reacting! I like both bands; this is a fabulous collaboration. Laura, the lead singer of Faun, was by the way amongst others a backing vocalist for Eluvietie for at least one tour, as far as I remember.
Welcome to pagan/folk with Faun truly great band.
I was lucky enough to see Faun at a concert in Berlin before they went to a major label (Universal). They sing in many languages, at the beginning of their career mainly in German, Middle High German and Latin. Later they more and more integrated English lyrics as well. They are musically deeply rooted in pagan music and old traditional ballads. Especially in collaborations they combine these musical styles with other styles, for example metal music. Their lyrics are often based on old sagas and mythology and nature-religious content.
AWESOME reaction. Might I suggest Heilung-"Anoana", if you continue your journey into the Pagan/Folk genre.
Faun has many good songs. One of their best is 9 Welten.
Hi, you should make a reaction to Deloraine - a Czech fantasy/Slavic/medieval band with incredible music and even more incredible video clips.
the song is in german n welsh:
german part:
The cold winter held us tight,
But now the wheel turns.
In old dreams, I saw you,
When I lay beneath the moon.
Thus I am awakened from the deepest dream,
By your word,
And with you, the forest and tree march
Into the final battle.
Bound tightly in the cold's grip,
Your song drifts from afar,
Gwydion,
Gwydion,
Son of the goddess, the seer,
In the alder grove, your light,
Lifts winter's hold from me,
Pushes back the night.
Bound tightly in the cold's grip,
Your song drifts from afar,
Gwydion,
Gwydion.
welsh part:
I was a bee in a throng of bees,
Before I became a serpent.
I was a string on a harp,
That resounded for nine years.
I was a star in the sky,
I was the blade of a knife,
I was a word in a letter,
I was a book in the origin.
I was a shining horn in half a year,
I was a path in an eagle's flight,
I was a club in battle,
I was a shield in protection.
Gwydion,
Gwydion,
Gwydion,
Gwydion.
Love Faun and its a great colab with Eluveitie... and they always put the credits up. I love that European bands give credit to the entire team. But this song alwas ends too soon.
Love Faun! Pagans know how to partay
Faun is pronounced "fown" :) and Eluveitie is "el-vay-tee"
Now try Faun Galdra…
i prefer pure Faun, without collaboration with other bands
It's german
