Just saw them do the Roots full album a couple years ago and thats what he did. At one point I heard his amp by itself and it was 1/3 the volume of Marks.
@@DaveThomson I saw him do that with Soulfly until mark's amp went dead for a couple of songs. Definately less than half the volume of mark's guitar

@@DaveThomson I saw Soulfly doing the Nailbomb tour earlier this year and was very disappointed by Max. He had a little combo amp off the side of the stage, turned way down so his lack of interest in guitar playing wouldn't be even more obvious.

My first ever "metal" album was a copy of the Beneath The Remains cassette, I actually went home as fast as I can to crank up my house stereo to the max, to the point of burning the speakers playing Sepultura out loud over and over again, and headbanging all over my living room playing air guitar. The memories. Sepultura was my baptism to metal music and all things music. I even had the luck to see and shake the hand of Max in Miami airport in 98? 99? I don't know, I didn't wash that hand for days and was flabbergasted that I actually met my metal hero of all times. Now that's he's back with Igor it really makes me happy to hear them bring back these old records, the real Sepultura, the raw, harsh and aggressive sound that defined them. After Roots, sorry, there was no Sepultura anymore. Long live the Cavaleras!

Definite bucket list check off for Mike Leon / bass player here. I know this opportunity made his year! Great work from him on display. The right man for the job! In closing I will say that while I would have liked to of seen Paulo and Andreas make it back for this show and related BTR/ARISE gigs. No matter what flag these two brothers fly under (SEPULTURA / CAVALERA CONSPIRACY / CAVALERA) Igor Skullcrusher and Max Possessed will always be the heart of SEPULTURA!⛧🤘

@@fredlaroche6969 Max isn't precisely a "virtuoso" on guitar or vocals, he's a beast who screams and injects lots of energy to the audience. I saw this show and they played according to the studio albums tempo, as agressively as you can see Sepultura shows were in the 90's.

Andreas é um monstro dos riffs, acho que ele e o Max se completavam, um muito técnico o outro brutal na voz e nas letras.
I turned 50 years old this year.. I was in the Navy stationed in New Jersey when this album came out and I was able to see them around the end of 89 or start of 90 or so and several times after. Its good to see them still hitting it! I will say that Igor is missing a bit of his former intensity but.. I am too.. damned age catches everyone! Still it makes me happy they're playing it. Oh.. that concert .. I was still new to the "pit" thing being I was only 19 and from a small town.. I was wearing my steel toed work boots in the pit and well.. some long hair was in there with me.. I can honestly say it wasn't on purpose but my foot was going up when his head was going down and I punted him in the face... Had I seen it coming I'd have tried to avoid doing it so.. If your reading this today.. Sorry bro! He grabbed his face and left the pit.. I didn't see him after that.. Damn I loved the pit!
To see this backdrop behind the Iggor's drums again takes me back to the best years of my life....

Sou fã de Sepultura há mais de 20 anos, mesmo que com Derick ter mais tempo de banda e ter gravado mais discos que o Max e não desmerecendo o Derick que admiro o vocal dele, mas a essência do Sepultura está ai na moral, gosto sim de algumas coisas do Sepultura atual mas o que era foda na formação antiga é que cada disco surpreendia e todos os sons dos discos nessa época era um mais foda que o outro, epoca que tu colocava o play do começo ao fim, hj não só o Sepultura mas muitas bandas lançam 4 sons fodas e o resto do album so pra encher o disco, raras as bandas de hj que lançam um trabalho que o disco inteiro rola lindo no play, essa época da banda ainda é e será a minha banda de coração sempre

Like a lot of you, I was hesitant when I clicked on this, given that I wasn't interested at all in Soulfly, or Cavalera Conspiracy(to be honest, never gave it a chance because I didn't like Soulfly), but damn, I think I need to change my pants.
If they can play stuff like this still, I'd love to see them do another thrash album. This has got me excited :D

O Eloy consegue tocar de uma maneira incrível e impecável as músicas antigas de Sepultura respeitando e reproduciendo o legado que o Iggor deixou...e o cara sendo tão novo ainda tem muita lenha para queimar. É inegável a qualidade e talento dele. A minha pergunta é, será que o Iggor consegue hoje seguir e tocar o que o Eloy está fazendo na batera para Sepultura do mesmo jeito que o Eloy consegue tocar as músicas antigas da banda?🤔🤔🤔
