I nearly choked when you said South Korea has 800,000 m1 Carbines, I didn't know that. I will pray that one day they make their way back home where they belong.
That is a lot of carbines, and im sure a good chunk of them are still new old stock. It does make me wonder whether they used new internal parts on an old stock or its a whole new batch of weapons?
@@noahboat580 without a doubt they will be in better shape than the Ethiopian guns coming in right now. It also makes me wonder what other treasure trove warehouses with lend lease guns are still out there.
@@noahboat580 Most of them are rusted out scrap. This has come up numerous times, the same wishful thinking. They. Are. Shit.
@@wlewisiii So were the Philippine M1 returns, but those are the M1s the CMP are still going through and they're cleaned up, refurbished as necessary.
@@wlewisiii I know that M1 carbines were still being used somewhat recently by South Koreas for training and reserve forces, if not still. Some of them might be trashed but you’re still making things up.
I miss being able to order guns out of the Sear’s catalog.
You can thank Democrats for that there the ones that keep trying to take our guns!!!
Or going into the local hardware store and walking out with the arm without doing paperwork for it
I bought a bunch of Turkish mausers a few years ago that reminded me of those days. Absolute nonsense!
J.C. Higgins all the way!
Which is how it should be.
Every American should have at least one Military Service Rifle.
It should be easier for a veteran to acquire but not. Lot to do with Pelosi calls veterans potential homeland terrorist instead of homeland militia.
No, def not. Too many stupid idiots...i.e. lib...ards
I fear getting "Bryan Malinowskied" at 6am.
Oh it's gonna happen anyways
rest in peace hopefully homies family is good
Sad but true 🗣🔥🔥🔥
Just don’t abuse your position of authority and traffic in firearms and you should be OK
@@AreU4Real1 wasnt justified, not sure why youre taking the bootsniffing stance here. They literally had a warrant for his home, he was away & they couldve raided safely, instead they waited for his return to deliberately skip due process and X him out.
I can’t understand how there isn’t more m1 carbines and 1917s available. There were more of them made than their better known counterparts of the garand and 1903
There were a ton that got sent overseas and it had a much harder/longer service life than the Garand or 1903, being used well into the Vietnam War and afterwards not just by the US, but VN, ROK and many, many others.
1917s are still available.
More m1 carbines were made in ww2 but more garands were made overall
2 Million 1917s were made. 3 Million 1903s were made. 1917 production ended in 1919 and 1903s were still being manufactured in WW2.
@@dancortes3062 ya my bad I was just thinking during the war years. 2.2m in 2-3 years for the 1917 is nuts
Forgot to mention that if you send something back to the manufacturer or to a smith for repairs/work, they can send it straight back to your door without going through an FFL. Of course, consult your local and state laws.
I use a gun shop because of porch pirates. I’ve never had a package stolen , but it would suck for a gun to be stolen. My LGS does send out and delivery for $20. Cheap piece of mind.
I also forgot to mention you can do literally anything you want as long as you consult your local and state laws first.
What about Fed Ex and UPS requiring an FFL on both ends to ship a firearm now? You could use the USPS, but that is only for rifles. Pistols can't be sent USPS unless it's FFL to FFL.
So how do you get around Fed EX or UPS policy on needing an FFL at each end? Used to be you as the owner could send your own firearm to the manufacturer or gunsmith without using an FFL. And then receive it at your door without having to pick it up at an FFL.
So now how would one send a pistol to a gunsmith for work? You have to pay two transfer fees to an FFL to send and receive your own firearm?
@@tylerwilliams6022 my FFL is a flat $20 .
You are absolutely correct. I was sent a Temporary FFL (1 Day for that firearm, For Receipt only), because I had to have my pistol worked on and didn't want to have to pay $47 for a Background Check on a gun I just paid a Background check for! Anyway, just make sure they can send it and YOU sign for it...
I've been waiting decades for those M1 Carbines. Maybe someday!
I love this guy's videos. He is thorough, informed, and does his homework.
I live in west Alabama so on a trip to Georgia I stopped in to see what they had and I left with a 1943 M1 Garand. The reciever is Winchester and the remaining parts are Springfield. I had been planning to buy an M1 from them so I had already made sure I could meet the purchase requirements. I paid 900 bucks for mine and it is in excellent condition and every part is WW2 era.
What's the name of the company?
Royal Tiger imports has numerous C&R rifles they'll send you. I've seen both very satisfied & disappointed customers as if they're unaware the rifle spent 120 years in Africa !
We should be able to buy CMP M4's. All gun laws are infringements
QUIT SNIVELIN....
@williamperry01 Pardon? I couldn't hear you. You seem to have a boot lodged deep in your throat.
@@williamperry01LAW.
Yeah, tell it to all the parents of DEAD school children, I support the 2A and own several guns, but NO law is absolute. The only one that is: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. The worst problem we have in America right now is not the lack of Jesus in our schools. It's the lack of Jesus in our churches.
@garymathena2125 I just thank God that people like you have no power to enforce your views on us
Bud you are one smart dude, I’ll support you!! Gotta love this guy!!
Excellent no bs explanation of the CMP program👌
Extremely pertinent and useful firearm ordering and CMP organizational information. Thank you for the vid!
I never knew about the CMP, what an excellent information video! Job well done.
We’d love an explanation of how to order from CMP. I’ve looked into it before but I think it would be very valuable to your viewers.
Dude by the way. You are a real Gem here on CZcams sir!
Not getting sweet on ya , just saying- you rock dude!
Great info. Thank you! I bought my M1 though the CMP back in the early 90's. I paid 89.00. and it was a low serial number. I had to compete in a CMP match, but that was easy. You just had to hit the target and get scored.
Dig it, good stuff. The "willy nilly" cracked me up. 😂
Thank you sir for all the fluff free to the point info! 😊
Great to know. Really interested in the M1 carbine. Yes please to full video.
Excellent information man! Thanks. I’ve been looking into CMP,I really want an M1 carbine.
Dear Sir, when you were talking about the unconstitutional gun laws, I was amazed. But, when you talk about how cool tax fraud is, I wept.... You have a new subscriber Sir!
Wise beyond your years, great information. Thank you.
Bro we NEED a video of all of your smith and Wesson revolvers. Those old pieces are beautiful!
it would be quite a logistical nightmare to get them all out to the range lol, might do one in the shed though
First time I’ve seen one of your videos. Jared, you are very good at doing this. Your video is chock full of information with just enough humor and commentary to keep it light and interesting. Thank you!
I got recommended that video you mentioned the other day and today I get this one 😂🔥
Thank you, Jared.
In California, you still need a FFL with the CMP
california moment
Washington too. +Training requirements
Wow dudes I feel for ya
It's almost like they once were a lawful state.
I escaped Commifornia last year thank God!!! Gavin can suck it!!!!
I have a C&R and i still had to do a transfer on one that was deactivated and can never be made to shoot again. gun laws make no sense
Very good video, young man. Keep up the good work.
I saw the video youre talking about, it chapped my ass too bro. Thanks for making this video.
Outstanding information, my friend! Greatly appreciated. 👍🏻🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸👍🏻
He forgot all pre 1898 replicas are also nonfirearms- a 1894 30-30 fits this clarification, what takes it out of this classification is but if the pre 1898 replica has or uses current manufactured fixed ammunition in current commercial channels it makes the replica a modern FFL firearm! So the 1894 30-30 becomes a title one modern firearm! Things like 11mm Egyptian bolt rifles even a replica would be a pre 1898 ancient weapon because no ammo is currently being made!
SBRs and getting stuff shipped right to my door are about the only remaining upsides of owning guns in Canada.
yeah but it comes at the cost of the terrible licensing system. it is pretty cool though
Great video as usual! For some additional info on C&R guns, the formal definitions are:
1. Firearms which were manufactured at least 50 years prior to the current date, but not including replicas of such firearms;
2. Firearms which are certified by the curator of a municipal, state, or federal museum which exhibits firearms to be curios or relics of museum interest; and
3. Any other firearms which derive a substantial part of their monetary value from the fact that they are novel, rare, bizarre, or because of their association with some historical figure, period, or event.
Also, people can petition the ATF to add a specific gun or type of gun to the C&R list. Another thing to note is that many of the transferable machine guns are legitimate C&R's. If you have your C&R and deep enough pockets, you can save some time and the $200 transfer fee from whomever you buy your next machine gun from, and have it shipped directly to your door (if you live in a free state).
Another advantage of having a C&R is that when you relinquish or decide not to renew your license, you do not have to send your bound book to the ATF. You can destroy or do whatever you heart desires with it. I have had my C&R on and off since around 2000, though I gave it up when obummer was elected, and renewed when Trump was elected, but will not renew again and may just relinquish it now anyway. Having a C&R used to get a dealer, or close to it, discount with the larger parts and tool sellers, not anymore though. However, there are a few surplus parts places that do, think Numrich-like and others.
The downside to having a C&R is that the ATF has the right to audit your books. To my knowledge, they have to arrange an appointment during business hours, but that may have changed.
God Bless and Good Shooting (I stole that from my friend John T.)
Yes. Please explain about getting into the CMP.
The C&R license IS an FFL. It's the 03 FFL--collector's license, as opposed to the 01 FFL--a dealer's license. Both FFLs, but have different uses.
yeah, this is for non-ffls/C&Rs
Absolutely. Thanks for kick ass video!!
Thank you so much for the info!
Gonna write my senators when I am back in country. Good video
The logo is Awesome man !
I've had a C&R for many years. First gun I ever bought on it was an Egyptian Hakim rifle in 8mm Mauser.
I miss my M1 carbine it was stamped IBM on the barrel. I paid 150 for it in the late 90's sold it for 500 in the early 2000's I miss it but my AK's makes it ok I'll live.😊
Finally, someone who has the same reverence, and respect for the second amendment, and the Constitution. Bless you, young man.
INCREDIBLE INFO .. THANKS FOR THE HELP ..
For the purposes of the National Firearms Act, the term “Antique Firearms” means any firearm not intended or redesigned for using rim fire or conventional center fire ignition with fixed ammunition and manufactured in or before 1898 (including any matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap or similar type of ignition system ... there fore you need a ffl to have a m1 carbine sent to you via mail
Correct that's why the carbine I showed as the example was a swedish 1894 made in 1895
Exactly. He talks about skirting laws, but spends half the video showing a firearm that is not exempt from transfer through an FFL. His response to you is hilarious since I am pretty sure he has other videos making the same claim about Garands and M1 carbines through the CMP. After watching a couple of his vids, I am glad CZcams stopped suggesting I watch his content. He clearly doesnt understand the laws well enough to be giving people advice on them.
Nice presentation, thank you.
great information. Thank you for sharing.
I love this carbine!... the Greek Armed Forces have shitloads of M1A1 carbines in storage, and M1 Garand rifles too...
I served 2 years in the AirForce treating those ''beauties'' as a ''small arms specialist'' [like a gunsmith]
remember the old slogan a chicken in every pot from the 1930;s now a m1 carbine in every home without a licence give me a break
How do I get a hold of the CMP to see about getting a Garand Rifle ? I've been wanting one for some time !!
Great video young man
Ya know. I’ve watched a few of your videos here and there, having recently purchased my first handgun after moving to a “free(er)” state from NYC. I hadn’t subscribed yet but the moment you called tax evasion and tax fraud cool, I fucking smashed that subscribe button.
I'm about to buy a CMP garand that's awesome
Yes, Is would like to know more about how this all works and try to get one.
Thanks for NOT saying "Car-bean".👍💯
Then why is the K98K called {Karabeaner} Karabiner? not {Karabyner}
Doing God's work.
Very informative, thank you
Nice work thank you
Thanks for the info
I saw the same video a few weeks back.I use to have a FFL (could not compete with the BIG guys)I looked and saw you had to do the same paper work. Thank You for this video. How do you like the M1?
Great video brother.
In NY I can't even have certain pellet guns to my house lol
Good info!
Like this guy, need more young people like him
I would really love to own one.
Was supposed to inherit one, but somehow it dissapeared. My uncle was adamant that it go to me, but someone took it.
In Canada its pretty standard to get firearms shipped directly to your door.
Enjoyed the vid, nice channel.
They still showing up to audit you whenever they feel like it.
ATF 47 CFR 479.11 Antique firearm. Any firearm not designed or redesigned for using rim fire or conventional center fire ignition with fixed ammunition and manufactured in or before 1898 (including any matchlock, flintlock, percussion cap, or similar type of ignition system or replica thereof, whether actually manufactured before or after the year 1898) and also any firearm using fixed ammunition manufactured in or before 1898, for which ammunition is no longer manufactured in the United States and is not readily available in the ordinary channels of commercial trade. IF COMMERCIAL FIXED LOADED AMMUNITION IS CURRENTLY BEING MADE THE PRE 1989 REPLICA BECOMES A MODERN TITLE 1 AND NEEDS A FFL TO TRANSFER AND CANNOT BE SENT TO A PRIVATE CITIZENS RESIDENCE!
Tattle tell, could you scream it any louder? Yeah you're THAT guy.
Beautiful m1 carbine
Great info!
Hi... Did the carbine come from CMP?... Always wanted a m1 garand ,...But now I need a m1 carbine....let see,.....? What else?
Filed for my C&R. yesterday.
Hold up you mean to tell me I can order an M1 Garand and a 1911 and have them send directly to my PO my town doesn't have a mail carrier?
so im assuming this does not work for washington state?
Does it work in CA?
Did you just call a magazine a clip? Bless your heart
It was an M1 Garand clip he showed. Different than a magazine
You can also buy more modernized chassis for a lot these guns. I know Choate makes a pretty nice folding stock for the M1 and you can easily put a pic rail on it. Not saying you should butcher collectable guns but it's a really solid option if you are limited on what you can get. I bubba'd an SKS Sporter because AK's are banned in my state. At the end of the day, having a rifle is the most important element so get what you can and optimize it
Swapping stocks isnt really bubbaing imo so long as the original stock is retained. The antique I show in the video actually started out as a sporter rifle and all the previous owner had done was put on a commercial stock. Restoring it to original config was easy as getting an original stock and replacing it.
@@JaredAF I agree. For my SKS Sporter, I just put a folding stock, cheese grater hand guard, and a rear sight rail with a red dot. It's all reversible and makes the rifle at least twice as effective. I built the entire thing for under $1k which to me is well worth doing over getting a mini14, Keltec RDB, or VZ58 for the same price in MA. There isn't anything viable under $1k here and it sucks
I’d love to see that video, if you’re willing to take the time to make it. Thanks for the informative video.
coming soon 😁
Hi,.... Watched again. I'm a big fan of the CMP,.... the guys there,..... what they do..... I like restoring firearms and having a portion of history....I like the idea of all of it, but not a fan of joining organizations... What acceptable one would you recommend for minimal investment and precipitation.... I think I can find a birth cirt., if it has not turned to dust yet...think I can cover the rest of the bases... That carbine is awesome!!!
check out my other video on the subject
Thank you
I looked into the CMP. New rule you have to be part of a local CMP shooting club. Real bummer. I hope they have changed that.
There's an alternative: join the Garand Collectors Association for $35 a year and you're good
Sounds crazy
Thank you officer
I subscribed . Great video .
I get em shipped to my door but I have a C&R FFL.
Well that’s why you get them to your door, you have the ffl. C&R ffl is different because you aren’t, or shouldn’t be, getting the firearm for resale. Certain guns are actually labeled C&R and those guns are normally the old ones collectors want to get. To buy and sell, you need some of the other types of ffl.
@@iammelon7803 What I am saying is you don't get a firearm sent to your door unless you have the FFL's or as he said a same state sales but I think it would be impossible to find a shipper who will ship the gun anywhere even the same state for a private sale with out an FFL involved.
i have a m1 carbine from 1942 general motors. its so lit
What do you think the best thing/ association to join for access to CMP is?
i have a full video on the topic, check it out
Beautiful rifle
Would love to have one how???
Bet the atf and antigunners are taking note.
how about a ww11 BAR can i purchase that?
I wished I would have gotten one years ago befor the prices shot up and inventory slimmed out
Omg the bait that hurt soo many people brain xD
You can also get black powder rifles and pistols shipped to your home.
How much $$$ can get a m1?
Things so old it came with dust bunnies.😂
i cant even get them to ship a banjo.
I am glad this guy video ran on my news feed. Kudos my friend
