Wow thanks so much! This was very informative. My bathtub and shower is adjacent to each other. No problem what so ever with the shower, it drains beautifully, however the tub is always backing up. I tried this very powerful drain cleaber x 3 attempts months apart, for the 1st 3 days it drained very well. Then it backed up horrible up to my ankles. I wish this can be resolved soon. I really dont understand the issue.
Glad it helped. May need to snake it to get the tough stuff out. What these chemical drain cleaners do is break down the clog but the pieces of it get pushed further down and end up reclogging the system in a harder to reach place. This could result in you having to get new plumbing. Yes, these drain cleaner makers know this, so you can keep coming back for more😉
