Everybody's Golf for PS4 (latest Hot Shots game) is a beast! My group of friends downloaded this last night and honestly had such a great time. I'll bump myself from Amateur to Pro and see what happens.

Hitting fast won’t slice it will hook or more specifically draw. Slice is when you shank way off right. If you hit just slow you will hit a fade, fast will hit a draw. Very slow will slice and very fast will hook. I kept getting confused because he’s playing for a draw.

If you’re right handed, a slice is a right miss. What you mean is a hook, or really a draw. “Playing for your hook/draw” is a legit strategy IRL though, that’s how I typically swing. On most courses (IRL) you rarely want to miss right because most courses have more trees or hazards right, in my experience.
I don't have this game yet. I have The Golf Club and I HATE it!!! I play with a keyboard and mouse, and can't hit the ball straight. Your tip to use an XBox controller may be just the key. Earlier today, I read a negative review in Steam about this game, where the comment was, "If you play with a keyboard an mouse...good luck." This game is on a Steam Sale, so I might give it a go with a controller. Thank You!
Extremely helpful tips. I haven't played a golf game since the old Tiger Woods games back in the day and the simulation style is WAY different lol. Putting the controller down and using your method helped tremendously. Was able to secure 3rd place in the first Tourney on the career with these tips. After a couple hours of practice of course. Awesome video.

some stuff you can only get through the Game pass now, been a recent change but if you want anything higher end Titleist you are gonna have to buy into it. TBH there isn't much you get so I don't feel its worth it.

Saw a video where a guy adjusted the power bar on a chip from 70% (slid it up to 100%) , what button, ect on PS4 do you hit to do that? As it's kind of frustrating when every chip is 14 yards and the power bar only goes to 70% (and 100% is supposedly 7 yards). Even though I play with everything off except the yardage book and green grid (right now). Thx. I'd turn off the green grid but it doesn't really show breaks with the naked eye. Mostly read break on approach of chip. Thank you.

It’s really a draw. This is how I play IRL, I’ve got a really big swing and my big miss is a long hook (right handed). I’ll play for a draw and close my stance unless it’s a really hard dogleg right.
Hey Bud saw your 1st show just now, but my wife was setting the game up for me and passed the driving range( kind of post me off) but now when I played two times today I can not for the love can’t not find how to get to the driving range to practice, because I need to practice FADE, DRAW, I found a video of a guy showing you on 2k21 how to fade,draw unless you can show me. But I’m getting post off at this game which I’ve been everywhere on this to find the driving range to learn how to fade,draw, because after the 1st 2 games shit I need to learn that. would u still recommend pro setting for someone who doesnt play online, but does do career mode offline? i am haivng an extremely hard time getting past q school and i am nailing the ball pretty straight pretty much every tee shot and my approaches usually aren't too far off line
Honest question, why do say it's so much easier with the controller? I'm new to the game and been trying both mouse and controller. I'm feeling slightly more comfortable with the mouse at this point but am not sure which I will stick with. It does seem like most prefer the controller.
moving a stick with a finger or two is a lot easier than moving a mouse with ones hand and you get a bit more control over speed at which the stick is gonna fly forward with i know that sounds stupid but trust me. if you find the mouse is more comfortable then more power to you but until you can get reliable and conistent uality shots off your going to be playing at a bit of a disadvantage tbh
How do I make more than one career and how can i play against someone else sitting next to me...i know it sounds silly but me and my wife wanna play against each other and have our own career's. Is that possible?
You can only have one career. For two players it's better with a second controller, but you can use just one. Go to guest one and create a player for your wife. When that's done go to local play and go into that. You'll see your player. To add your wife press square (ps4) add guest one and then your wife's player will appear next to yours. When the game starts and it's your wife's go you need to assign the second controller, or the only control, to her. To do this press start, go down to assign controller. And confirm. This should work. Hope it helps.

Tip: Don't buy it. You can only play with a internet connection. If I wanted to be forced to play a game that only has a wifi connection, I'll play on my big console.
This game is pure trash, simply put. The Woods games were the only golf games worth playing. The production value of this is a joke, and this whole timing of the swing is trash. There is no way to hit punch shots, so you just have to hit into trees. The nuance changes in how I swing are too small for me to notice, but the game does. I will shank without even knowing why, so I really can't fix the problem. If you try to shape shots, good luck. You will fuck it up because you're swinging differently, at a subconscious level. Only got it because it was free for PS Plus. I'm happy I didn't pay for this thing.

If you hit the white in power you will have much more forgiveness on your timing for your follow-through.

I do not think that you should calibrate your swing until after you've tried it for a while. Other wise you are training the game pure nonsense.
I prefer the thumb swing and tilt the controller to whichever side u have the analog swing stick on

Lol crazy, the easiest hit for me is the driver, it's working the way up the rest of the course that I'm having trouble with.

I just adjust the computer difficulty so it’s competitive and then play. This is ridiculous lol I can’t imagine caring about golf this much

Once you set up the match and go to “play round” it will give you the option to press square to add a player/guest.. you can add up to 3 guests
