- San Antonio police officers searching for a domestic violence suspect instead detained a different man inside his Southeast Side home after the officers showed up at the wrong address, records obtained by KSAT Investigates show.
They entered a private citizen's home w/out a warrant & w/out authorization from the resident. Look it up. That's a crime.
Question: how did we get here?
Another: zero accountability.
Lawsuit!!!
SAPD is a joke
These officers need to go back to basic police training school and have their police authority suspended until they can prove themselves as real police officers.
They don't have limits on goofy among these pos cops.
Never open your door for the police w\o a warrant. Talk through the door, your doorbel camera, through the glass storm door. But never just open it up and say HELLO. They will snatch you, handcuff you, and haul you away if they wanna be jerks. And they do it all the time.
You dont even have to talk to anyone at your front door. just ignore them .
Keystone. That ring a bell.
You shouldn't have even answered the door.
Careless mistake that could have gone wrong and needlessly impacted many people.
Vote for more government, get more government. 🥾
Both parties are more than happy to militarize the police
@@davidb4935 yet one party in particular is clearly more zealous when it comes to expanding government size and powers. It's literally the platform they run on.
@@danbarron8072 one does it loud, the other does it quiet, just vote for whoever virtue signals to what you like
@@davidb4935 I think I'll vote for the ones who at least feel ashamed enough to do it quietly. And I'll call them out for it.
Cops dont know how to use google maps dont you know?
I wonder what the whole ring video had on it.
If they didn't have a warrant, then they shouldn't have entered the house. I know this because it happened to my dad, and yeah, we sued. We also found out that this particular officer had a history of this.
When police screw up they need to be held accountable. No apologies from police dept or the city shows they don't care. The police will close ranks and nothing will happen . Sounds like disciplinary action is needed as well as more training. I hope this guy sues the PD, and gets a big award, and then maybe the city/PD will take action and possibly develop some sense of civility.
With technology today, this mistake shouldn't happen. It's a mistake is not an excuse. The dang warrant has the address on it. When they are preparing, they should check the dang thing with the address.
model citizen
If your name/address is not on the warrant and you didn't report a prowler, why let them in?
He didn't they just went in
The corruption is unbelievable.
This is almost every police department in the U.S. This is a National Policing issue. Who pays for the lawsuit... all of us.
Can't they read - what is it with these bonehead cops⁉️
M.o.r.o.n.s.
They're human....they too make mistakes
Out of Line? We all make mistakes. This was an unfortunate incident.
