I remember watching you all as the og booktubers back in 2015.. I haven’t been on booktube for a couple years now since high school so the community looks way different I don’t really recognize anyone … im 25 now and I’m not sure how’s it been 9 years but I really enjoyed your content and watching ur video was a bit nostalgic for me..thank you all for getting me excited to read books and explore my imagination especially when I was a loner around that period of my life as a Muslim girl who no one wanted to talk to. Things have definitely changed but your videos helped me get through that period without me even realizing 💜

AH The Rumor Game sounds so interesting, I think I'd really enjoy that one! (Though I don't think I'll be able to read it and make it in time to the liveshow...2022, March in particular, has been ROUGH) I also love stories that have like little bits of social media and text messages and stuff! (tbh they're some of my fav modern AU fanfics lol XD) That's defo a writer goal of mine, both in fanfic and OG stories is to include that kind of thing (and also things like podcast clips) in them! With that said, I am SO with you on how fckin' glad I am that Twitter didn't exist until I was in college! Heck, I'm glad that Facebook didn't exist until I was 16! By the GODS if I'd had a Twitter or something when I was a preteen or a young high schooler I just...no, it would have been the absolute WORST!
Now, I DON'T think Mischa Collins WRITES Destiel fanfic under a secret fanfic account, but I would not be surprised if he does HAVE a fanfic account and reads a bunch of it, Destiel or otherwise. TBH I never finished Supernatural or got into the fandom, but that's something that I think about ALL THE TIME! Like, we know TSwift is/was a HUGE SVU fan, right? SO she HAS to have at least READ some SVU fanfic, amirite? And maybe even left a super nice comment. Or like what if Lady GaGa or AOC is a Victurri stan and they have secret AO3 accounts under some random email but they feel like they can't talk about it cuz its so stigmatized and stuff?! Like, this is something I MUST know and that MUST be true! It's a post I've wanted to make on twitter for a long time to see if it would gain any traction and any celebs did the eyes emoji to secretly be like "yeah, I lowkey read/write fanfic for different fandoms, what about it?!!"

I dealt with social media in high school but I was pretty quiet while everybody I knew was too. It didn’t really affect anything but then again I had a different account I spent more of my time on🤷♀️

I was in high school early-mid 2010s and social media was a thing but I was in the Super Nerd (tm) classes at my school where everyone was absolutely lovely and there was very little drama, something that having no time for anything but studying really helped. The workloads were horrible and I was so burnt out by the time I got to university so it's not really a good thing, but I did enjoy the lack of drama. People had their friend groups but everyone was friendly with each other and not many great rifts occurred and nothing was started or worsened by social media, to my knowledge.

I, fortunately completely missed the era of social media and camera phones as a teenager! And thank all the gods for that! Lol, all the things that could've been immortalized on the internet - shudder... Even my first run at college barely missed social media. I was solidly of legal drinking age when I first discovered MySpace. And now that my old lady card has been varified - I will flee! I love your videos! Can't wait to see the next!

I really enjoy seeing these reading vlogs and updates. Judging by the extreme demand for the return of cooking content, is this the initial teaser for your patreon cooking content? Are you trying to Sanderson everyone with secrets? If so, I think it would work.
So glad I didn't have social media in school. It was just starting up when I was about to leave high school. Kids suck man. There was a huge issue with one of our Junior High schools where kids were creating school group accounts and asking people to send photos of the "ugly" kids at the school. My nephews went there at the time, told me about it and laughed. I went from 0-100 real quick.
I so lucky I didn't have to deal with social media in high school.

@Katytastic can you make an Tutorial about how to organize folders and documents? I always think this is a weird topic, and was therefore to afraid to ask before.
Why do i ask? I started writing 8 years ago, and found your channel back then and it really helped and inspired me.
I was always good at plotting, and designing worlds, characters and background stories. Even my writing style itself is on a level i like and i am happy with.
So all usual writing tutorials are not of help for me, because my biggest problem is... Keeping track of my notes. All my folders are quite confusing. Often i have written in like three different paper notebooks and again three docs ob my laptop. So i never had all information in one place and lost track where i wrote about something. Often i had even drawings with notes, wich were not even in my writing folder et cetera.
My document/notes, file and folder management is the equivalent of the house of a hoarder, full of trash and insanely chaotic.
This is such a big problem for me that it stopped writing at all.
I always try to keep order, or organize well; but i am bad at it and it becomes more and more chaotic over time.
This completely killed writing for me, because i just cant find my way through my files!
And while i am happy with the quality of everything else that has to do with writing, this is just too much for me.
For the last 7 years, i started a new project every year, tried to keep order and sort everything, but it always got so chaotic that i couldnt handle it and stopped writing again.
In the following year i started a new project, this time with even greater dedication to destroy the chaos and keep everything nice and tidy. But again, i was to weak and the chaos won the war, and i stopped again.
So next year the same. New project, try to organize, chaos increases, i stop it.
And again and again and again. Im stuck in this cycle for years! I just cant keep track of all my notes, files, drawings, mind maps etc. :0
Please help me, you are my last and only hope to ever finish a project! :0

Maybe focus more on straight out writing than plotting so much that it's giving you this much stress. Then go back and edit once it's done. Post-its on a designated board for your story work well too. You can move them around and edit as well as you keep going.

Considering that you have been here in You Tube for over 10 years and reading numerous books every month and reviewing them I'm shocked not to see you wearing glasses by now. I'm a former optician and so much reading tends to result in a need for glasses. But you seem to have avoided that somehow. Don't say it's because you eat lots of carrots because it's been proven that doesn't work.
