Can you see the location of your car without ever installing a hotspot. That is, is the gps tracking capability independent of the cloud service requiring hotspot?

Hello There, To see any remote data from the Dash Cam a Hotspot is required to provide this data.

A few questions. Why would you even bother with a "cloud" to see items mentioned in this video? I mean, I'm using my cellular devices (yes, 2 of them) in order to do this. This is just not smart. Secondly, my new Thinkware continuously disconnects and I must manually reconnect to it every single time I turn my car off. Another failure on Thinkware's behalf. Thirdly, the distance that the "connected" device can be from the camera itself is ludicrous. Since I now have to pay for a device to monitor my car, I wanted to hide that device in the back of the car...I can't because the distance is too great. There are quite a few things that need to be fixed on your system. Things that I'm very disappointed with and would have gone with another camera had I known all of these issues existed.
