Su faceta bipolar, (algo chocante de primeras) mezcla la tenebrosidad con el lado totalmente opuesto a esta, el cuál está cargado de unicornios, chucherías y fucksia… ¡MUCHO FUCKSIA! ¿Su estilo? Lovely reaction. You really got the meaning of what they were trying to convey. As per MEGARA’s own statement, the song is a “thank you” to the Spanish Eurofans whom embraced them while the local Spanish rock scene despised them for . MEGARA has also said they feel only gratitude towards RTVE (Benidorm) for giving them the chance to be a part of “the Eurovision experience”. Since 2022 Megara has been trying for Eurovision -this year their dream has come true thanks to San Marino. BTW, there were 129 entries out of which 17 were selected to the final where MEGARA was victorious. MEGARA will certainly give its best to get San Marino to the Eurovision final.

So glad you like this!!!! As somebody else mentioned, this is a middle finger to the Spanish music industry for not choosing them. They even mention Benidorm in the song. Spain doesn't send rock artist to Eurovision but I admit the 2023 song they chose was great (EAEA by Paloma Blanca). "Si tu no me quires, otra gente me quera" - If you don't want me, somebody else will. Spain didn't want them but San Marino did! San Marino tends to send rock so it was a good fit for them. The black/pink, the dancers, that flamenco bridge, ***chefs kiss***! Also in the live version, Kenzy switches to singing in Italian at the end.

Thanks for your enthusiastic review. I am so hoping that Megara qualifies tomorrow in SF2. I LOVE this song and the video is unforgettable for me. Not many people were talking about it at first but I feel like it's picking up and gaining traction. Please vote for it tomorrow so more of the world can hear and see them. Actually fun fact for you. Some singers from the Sanremo festival will try to still participate at eurovision if they didn't win by trying for San Marino. And the second place was given to another rock singer that didn't win the Sanremo Festival but was deemed to be a potential winner. So in the end for San Marino it was a rock for rock moment. The other singer Loredana Berté I believe is known as a rock singer but her song wasn't super rock in my opinion. But who am I to know as I can't tell genres and I don't usually listen to rock.

Reaction megara arcadia festival eurovision 2023 of spain
No se si has escuchado la de arcadia del año pasado es guapísima
The band was basically kicked out of the Spanish competition for being too edgy, and this song is a big FU to the music executives that said they aint good enough, think "death on two legs" by queen or "two minutes notice" from hellva boss, this kind of mentality in the lyrics

This is not the meaning of the song, as Kenzy said, the message of the song is addressed to all the critics received by the rock and metal purists and extremists who critised them for not doing "real" rock and called them freaks
