- Another outing to Scotland to fish the River Tweed at Tweedswood.
The river had been really high and unfishable with the fly for six days before our arrival and on the morning it was still over two feet high.
My gear as normal was my Loop OPTI NSX 14' 9wt Double Handed fly rod, floating line with a 3"ps sink tip.
Very enjoyable videos, have fished tweedswood myself, had my first fly caught salmon there, lovely beat to fish with a fly, look forward to seeing more, tight lines.
Glad you enjoyed it, Thanks for watching
Enjoyed the video, keep posting.
I hope your dad enjoyed his day. Really lovely bit of river.
Yeah my Dad always enjoys his days fishing .
Thanks for watching pal
Really enjoying your vids, great gillie there in Phil, he'll go to the end of the world to get you a fish. 2 small tips that may help. 1. You saw a salmon at your rod tip, but then put out nearly a full line, cast short at first and work out a yard at a time. 2. On your d-loop stroke accelerate to a stop and then pause to let the loop form, you're starting slow and same speed throughout, accelerating whilst lifting the rod and not cutting the corner will give you a bigger d-loop, which will load the rod much better. Tight lines fella 👍
Glad you enjoyed the video thanks for the tips .

Remember to start with short casts and lengthen gradually its not always about hitting the other bank especially in bits like that croy.
Yeah I always fish a short line first, sometimes on the video you only see the end or it been edited for whatever reason .
I try and keep the video as natural as possible tho as much as I can.
Thanks for watching .
