Waiting for the next video!
Nice, I will follow your guide.
I haven't watched the entire video yet but I'm guessing you had as much fun as I with them headers. Talk about a perfect fit without a gap to spare! It was like a jigsaw puzzle getting them into place, I was amazed when I finally did. I Thought I was going to have to lift or move things at first. I've had my set for a couple years now and they've been great! Only thing I did was cut off and replace the old, dated and leak prone, three bolt flanges and Tig Weld a set of V Band Flanges on. I used a new set of factory studs, copper nuts and steel gaskets as well. I went with a full 3" with X crossover all the way out the back into Corsa Quad 4" tips...Sounds Beastly!! Looking forward to seeing, hearing the finished project and your thoughts on it ;)
Oh boy, when i say dad was cussing up a storm fitting those headers in, he was not having any of it. Wise choice on using the factory studs, copper nuts, and gaskets. Also makes sure you tighten everything once again 1000 miles after the install. Mine came loose and so have others due to the vibrations
They still don't have mid length headers. I purchased long tube headers from mbhmotorsports. Someday when it will get warm, I'll go to some shop...
Saving up for MBH long tube headers that are built to order for the SL55. They are very pricey so saving up. Best thing is their shop is only a few miles from my home! Can't wait to hear it!
