    You don’t have to keep justifying why you are who you are right now (eating disorders etc). You are a beautiful being and your life experiences were there because they were meant to be so you could be this wonderful being that you are. Don’t ever apologise for that and if anyone ever makes you feel that you do, they are just there to remind you that you are who you are, and you are wonderful, Remy.

    Congrats on the book deal!! I’m looking forward to getting “behind the scenes” glimpses of writing a cookbook! I think that’ll make it extra special when I finally get it.

    Aruba looks amazing, never been, but it's now on the travel list. Great to know the hotel is so vegan friendly, always my biggest challenge when travelling. Congrats on the book deal!

    I am defintiely someone who unpacks if I'm staying more than one night. I don't like my clothes getting disorganized and wrinkley. :)

    your carbon footprint must be huge with how much you are flying

    • @Veggiekins
      @Veggiekins  Před 2 lety +16

      Hey there! I don't believe that I need to justify my reasons for flying but to give you additional context, several of my last few trips to the East Coast have been to see my mother and father, who I've been not able to see for 3 years due to the pandemic (they have been locked down in China). Most recently, my grandpa who has cancer, had life threatening surgery and this Aruba trip was a work opportunity and is a big part of how I make a living. It's certainly not perfect but if you've followed me for a while then you know I carbon offset every single flight I take 🙂 I also contribute to the planet in other ways (mainly, limiting single use plastic consumption, eating vegan, etc.). Everyone contributes in their own way, but nobody is perfect. With that said, I'm a big advocate for everyone doing their best within reasonable means. Aiming for perfection is not sustainable. Also, it's my belief that we should really be holding big corporations (responsible for the vast majority of global emissions) accountable instead of nitpicking others who *are* trying! Hope you understand where I'm coming from.
