    Y'all! I was so surprised by this Newfoundland series! I thought it would be a frozen tundra, lol! It is absolutely a beautiful area of the Northern part of the America's! We found it to be just lovely and enjoyed this series so very much! So glad you took this trip, it is so enjoyable to see the views, the food and the people who live in the areas you visit. What a fantastic trip with wonderful memories you will cherish forever! Thank you two for doing this so we can also enjoy the beauty that this planet is abounding in! You two keep dancing!!!

    Just finished binge watching your series on Newfoundland. Absolutely phenominal job you both! Born, raised and living my entire life here, like a lot of Newfoundlanders, we take foregranted how incredibly scenic and breathtaking this place is with is rich culture and folks that are known to be the friendliest on earth. I would chuckle when you were saying you had trouble finding a laundromat, or when you had to double back to your van...you could have easily asked any resident here if they would mind you doing your laundry, grabbing a shower, or needing a lift and would have received a "yes my trout sure ting." Your commentary, camera work, and finding the positive was an absolute pleasure. If you ever come back the washer and dryer, shower, and a lift to the end of Stiles Cove Path is just a message away. Take Care and Safe Travels

    Thanks for another great video of Newfoundland. Will put the Spout section on our list for next summer. Sad to see you got caught up in the huge delays at Port for your trip back to the mainland. We left a week later and for the first time in 3 years did not have to rush across the Maritimes trying to outrun an approaching "post tropical" storm. (And thank you for the courtesy of using metric while in Canada.). ❤

      @@AdventuresofAplusK If you get back to Newfoundland in winter, returning to "The Spout" is something to add to your "Mudt Do" list. FYI - when we used to race horses we had a few that would chew their leg bandages and we discovered that spraying a water solution mixed with cayenne pepper (start with low amounts first) and spray the area that your pup chews on and usually it works the first time but keep monitoring your furry companion until he stops chewing.
    This worked every time we needed it to.

    I live on northern Vancouver Island and we camp/road trip all over northern BC, Yukon and Northwest Territories. All of it definitely bear country. I say this not to be a tuff guy but to hammer home just how dangerous moose can be. The bears don't bother me at all but the moose sure do. Latest stats (Canada) show 3 fatal Grizzly attacks, 2 Black bear ones. Contrast that with an average of 16 fatal moose events per year. Search up "10 most dangerous animals in Canada" . US stats have similar ratios.
    That all said, epic moose sighting, something that actually happens infrequently even for those of us who get into the back country regularly.

    • @AdventuresofAplusK
      @AdventuresofAplusK  Před 9 měsíci

      Yes we definitely took precautions for the moose! We were always moose aware! Thanks for sharing!

    • @carolmurphy7572
      @carolmurphy7572 Před 3 měsíci

      While I agree that it's obviously a good idea to be aware of all wildlife in an area where you are hiking or camping, I think most of the "fatal moose incidents" quoted are not due to attacks by these magnificent animals. Moose are generally quite docile, solitary animals are are not interested in interactions with humans. Bull moose may become aggressive during rutting season in the fall, and cow moose are fiercely protective of their calves. If you make significant noise and don't suddenly startle an animal, moose will generally avoid humans. The majority of fatalities are caused by moose vs vehicle accidents on highways, especially at night when their dark hides are hard to see. The sheer massive size of the animals enables them to travel from the tree-lined side of the highway to the centre of the road in seconds. Female moose can weigh well in excess of 800 pounds, and the average size of an adult bull moose is 1,106 pounds. They are frequently in excess of 7 feet in height and, when a car collides with those long legs, the weight of the body of the moose falling onto the passenger compartment of most vehicles will cause catastrophic and frequently fatal injuries to the people in the car. Driving at night in moose-populated areas is very dangerous.

      Newfoundland was so un-touristy! No Bubba Gump, cheesy tourist shops, etc. It was awesome!

    Hi! We have followed you and actually taken many of your recommendations on our trips (i.e., Moomers, Bird House). Question: Where did you take ferry back to Nova Scotia? Retrace your steps or St. Johns /Argentia. Thanks!!!!

      Awesome! We took the ferry back from Channel-Port aux Basques, the same that we took there
      Thank you and thanks for watching!

    What is that coffee press called? Where did you get it? I think my hubby might need that for Christmas! (P.S. Love your videos, and I really love HOW you travel - spending some time each place you go and really getting to know it, instead of flitting here and there.) =)

      Hi! That is an Aeropress. We love it and it would be a perfect Christmas gift for a coffee lover!
      Thank you so much! ❤️

    Are your videos so popular now that there are many adds showing? I do not know how advertising works on CZcams, just wondering. You have given my wife and I many ideas to pursue in our travels. We are a TX couple too.

      Hey Mark! We’ve had ads in our videos for years now. We don’t place anymore than the average CZcams channel. It’s a small price to pay as a viewer for otherwise free content.
      Thank you for watching!

      I mean I guess. It depends what it is. Take a look at the ingredients of both of those meals. They have pretty clean ingredients for the most part. When you don't have a dehydrator, time, and space to make your own meals, ya kinda have to compromise a bit.

    Don't you ever want to spend time with family? How do you stay connected to friends or neighbors at one one home base? It sounds like you do not own a home or have your own base point. Doesn't it make friends and family always having to free up time for you when you stop by? They can't see you when they would like but then they have to drop everything for you. I am sure they are happy for you and love following your adventures but how can you show interest in their life when inwardly all along you think that other people's more stable set schedule and work is not as exciting as yours. People will tell you of their hike and then you always have a better story to tell. How can you really be there for people who matter when your life essentially excludes people. You have many interesting but superficial exchanges with stranger. Where is the time to really connect and be there for others? If a friend goes into labor or a friend needs physical help for a variety of reasons you can never promise to be there and help in a practical immediate way. When people are essentially excluded and not a part of your life other than watching you on You Tube how do you really stay close to anyone other than each other? I love watching your adventures but I am not a friend or family member. I just wonder how you make it all work. Something has to give way to have the lifestyle you lead. It seems that truly close deep intimate, connected to close friends and community is what you sacrifice. No life choice is without drawbacks. Just an observation. No offense meant just curious as to what you have given up. It seems like a huge exchange.

      Honestly we see our friends and family more often than when we lived in one stable location. We spend lots of time with family. We’re actually on our way home for 3+ months where we’ll see friends and family (currently writing this comment from a friend’s house). We were also home for several months last year, and the year before during COVID. We come home every holiday season and other times of the year.
      It isn’t like we show up to people’s houses unannounced. Friends and family know when we’re coming well in advance. The same you might when you schedule a time to be with your friends.
      Just because it isn’t shown on CZcams doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

    We did the Shoal Bay Road to Spout Path trail. It was 14.5 miles one way. Have you tried their Fish & Chips? After our hikes, we would go to the local fish market and get fresh fish for dinner. Yes it was amazing.

      That sounds awesome! No, we didn’t have fish and chips around St. John’s but did in other areas!
