hes a great bass player ..great gig to get .i like how he puts hes own parts in the songs.he has great respect for zender we should have it for him.xxfrom ireland
Brilliant Bass Guitarist 👏🏿👏🏿 Run Way is a masterclass of Bass groove. All Jamiroquai Bassists are top notch; Zender, Julian Crampton, Nick, Turner etc Greetings from Uganda 🇺🇬👊🏿🖤
@@NotCharAznable Eh... I am not saying that Funk Odyssey was bad. It was actually a great album. But you cannot top the first 3 albums with nothing. If you think different, then you are smoking crack.
Emergency on Planet Earth, Return of the Space Cowboy and Travelling Without Moving, those are the first three and best albums Jamiroquai has to offer, i like later stuff too but i'd rather have the bossa-jazzy style of early Jamiroquai rather than the disco house vibe of latter albums. Stuart Zender was indeed a big part on songwriting for the band, and it changed a lot since his departure.
Fascinating insight. Understandable but annoying imo how some people always seem to want to compare for the sake of who's best rather than what individuals bring/add. Whether that be in music, sport, whatever.
I've wanted to know for years, who played the Album version. We know it's not Mr Z (due to style, sound etc and Paul even said so) but whoever played is not credited in the album sleeve... SO WHO IS IT!!!??? PUT ME OUT OF MY 21 YEAR MISERY!!!! PLZ! K THX BYE :)
I don't mean disrespectful to paul, but to make the pattern or tune like stu is topnotch, and after that the rest just follow the original and add a little spicy groove
Runaway might just be the funkiest bassline of them all. And that was Turner's.. Both are different, both are great. No point arguing. Just enjoy the music
Mr Turner.. The Return of the Space cowboy was Stuart on the album. You may be thinking of when you gonna learn from the first album. That was played by Andrew Levy of the brand new heavies. Space cowboy has a few different versions that were b sides and remixes/ and music video versions. But for sure we’re all played by Stuart Zender.
hes good and a different type of bass player but better than stu? no way not when it comes to jamiroquais sound on the first three albums but again dont get me wrong i love paul turners bass playing too but the original jam line up will always be the best version of jamiroquai and they played the best versions of those songs just look up paradiso 94 or any live set from 93 to 95,96 to truly see how good stuart was
Not better, stu has his own feel, Paul brought something new while obviously admiring stu's playing. Comparing 2 bassist on this level like Paul and Stu, that who's Better is pointless. They're both great musicians and they created something that will live past all of us. Thats the important
How can you teach a master class based on what someone else created and perfected. Play something off of that subpar last album and stop trying to make Stuart's bass lines your own.
@@alessandromorgante5373 it's insane to think paul doesn't have feel. zender was unique in his approach. paul can do it all though. they were all the right players for each phase of the band.
Zender is THE MAN. Gonna sound v arrogant but you just know when you know eh?, end of... I've listened to every type of bassist ... (Turner of course has great technique and is a v fine bassist, quite evident... just a different league compared to King Z.

How changed this Sting!
Que cambiado está sting
Why i prefer stuart is because of what he doesn’t play and the gaps between the notes placed in the most perfect places.
Awesome!!
Stuart Zender was the soul of Jamiroquai, In my opinion, after he left the magic was gone..
One of their best albums is after he left lmao
@@NotCharAznable true. I’m a big fan of Funk Odessey. Absolute classic.
toby was the soul. that's when it really changed.

Amazing Paul..
Stuart Zender to Paul Turner. Both gods of the 4 fat strings ⭐️
With Nick Fyffe in between. And he was no boy scout!!!
@@hahabass That's why he says 'to' ie the line from the original to now
The Best Bassist of the world !!!
That 66 Jazz sounds incredible.
pickups??
Big Part is from the Aguilar
Amazing
He's playing the bass line from "Return of the Space Cowboy"
+Maria Brown pretty sure that is nick
Ilike this guy...he's ok!
Three bassists, three different styles. Each great in their own right.
jamiroquai with Jay Kay at Acm London that would be great I'm a big fan
THERE IS A FEEDBACK ON THE KICK MICROPHONE. I CANNOT UNDERSTAND HOW THE AUDIO PROFESSIONALS DID NOT DETECT HIM, AND CONTROLLED WITH A GATE.
that bassline is sacred …
JOE
HART
ON THE
FENDER BASS

Jamiroquai without Smith and Zender is just J Kay...
MILA DZ 🇩🇿 commentator
IN 2000's the perfect bassist of jamiro is P.. turner
But The best in 90's is... S...zender
Why is the mic sound so crappy? The bass is clearly on a DI. Why not include the mic in the mix?
MY BROTHER MARK KING
did you listen to Stewart Zender?
yeah we all know about Stuart but it's not about him right here right now. Complete....d...ck
666 likes was freaking me out so glad to move to 667 :-)
the question of whos better is so useless
this is a music discussion mate, it shows you other people's perspectives

No.
Sorry I had to :D I dont know it either :/
Ha!!! When I saw this comment had a response, my heart leaped. How the months and years keep passing, yet still none the wiser! ;)
ok guy, it was me.
i just dont like the fame as long as money is flowing in.
you are welcome
Mr X is Paul Powell.
I don't mean disrespectful to paul, but to make the pattern or tune like stu is topnotch, and after that the rest just follow the original and add a little spicy groove
I miss stuart zender 😞
Me too, Zender awesome!!!
the bass has some resonating distortion that is really annoying, like a bit crusher
HOW CAN PAUL TURNER BE BETTER THEN ZENDER, ZENDER WROTE ALL THE BASS LINES, WELL THE BEST ONES ANY WAY
+FUNKMASTERFOURTWO There were a lot of good basslines after Stuart left.
Runaway might just be the funkiest bassline of them all. And that was Turner's.. Both are different, both are great. No point arguing. Just enjoy the music
Well said, Aaron.
Zender didn't write all of basslines.
Almost bass lines are written by Jay Kay. Their first three album, too.
Don't forget Randy Hope-Taylor too.

Nico D'Ambrosio I’m afraid you’re wrong. Stuart didn’t play on the album version of Space Cowboy. It was performed by a mysterious ‘Mr X’
@@MrBillyboyroge MR X did the studio album :D
Joe Hart its a Bassist??? buahahahaha
No
speack to much
Sorry, this guy does not beat Stuart Zender.
oh he does

This bass player he’s far to be a real Jamiroquai omg tha play ..is so …pls Stuart be back pls …is a nightmare loll
Dude's not muting his strings properly?
Que feo el propio bajista de jamiroquai que toque muy pobre
Pobre??? Se nota que no tenes idea de lo que es un bajista. Este tipo es increíble, las líneas, los muteados, Jamiroquai suena así por este tipo.

Technique & no feel = boring
so true
that's why Stuart is way better than Tunrer.
