Really good video Jim. The hand tools were a nice touch That's all us DIY types have.
+toroon01 Davis Yea I get spoiled by using the torch or power tools but I know you guys don't have them .Thats why I use only hand tools most of the time.Lol
This was amazing quality and simplicity for any DIYer.

Great video. I drive a '98 Honda civic EX coupe. I went over a dip in the highway the other day and now I have a piece of the exhaust system hanging down under my car and almost touching the road. It sounds like I need a new muffler now, too. However, upon inspection underneath the car it looks like the muffler is fine. The thing I can't figure out is: what is the muffler looking cylinder that is now hanging down off the bottom of the car and almost touching the ground? It's part of the exhaust system but it is after the EX catalytic converter (which was put under the car just behind the front wheels) and before the muffler. It kind of looks like the slightly larger pipe area you point out in this location on the vehicle in the video, but it is a much larger cylindrical piece on mine. Any idea what I'm looking at? I presume that my problem is some hangers failed dropping the exhaust B pipe and maybe cracking the pipe at some point other than the muffler? That's why I'm getting the much larger sound like the muffler is broken?
thanks for your videos.. I enjoy.
+Patrick Burchett Thank you for your feedback and for watching
Big help. Thank you!
Is it the same washer front and rear flange ? Thanks
What size is the pipe? Not sure if it's a 2 inch.
Thanks for video! ❤️
Thanks for watching.
thanx!! this is what I need to learn.
Show me the exact wording looks like a 97 Honda Civic two door coupe
What Size Socket did you use ? I did mine before but forgot.. if im not mistaken its a 13 & 14?
very helpful... thank u sir!
Thank you for watching and your feedback
Great Vid!!! Not filled with fluff!!!
Great video Jim.. Have you done front suspension control arms on a 2007+ CRV yet..?? Had mine in at the shop having it's annual saftey inspection and they advised that the rear bushings on the arms, both sides are perishing.. :-/
+Al Star I have not done any video on that but here are a few other regarding front end noise. If you need specific infor let me know i will be more that happy to help. czcams.com/video/3jhvIItGYJo/video.html , and czcams.com/video/SZSAoAgGDAY/video.html ,
Good jod where you got good gasket for the from I put like 3 my still broken it thank you video
very nice jim , thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey Jim I have a 1998 honda civic that is really loud. The muffler looks bigger than normal so I think someone tried doing some modification. If i replace the muffler with a standard one do you think that would fix the noise problem or should I do the whole exhaust system?
Thanks for the video
If you want to send me some pictures i can look at it and give you an idea.
Well done.
+ManicMechanic007 Thank you for watching and your feedback
Great job. I think Walker Exhaust Systems are actually made out of rust.
+Ron Towers Ya they don't make anything like they use to.Thanks for watching
How important is it too I new spring bolts instead of reusing the ones already on the vehicle? Are they easy to find? Is there a lot of variety in them to choose from?
My muffler just rusted through and I can't afford getting a ship to replace it, so I went and found one at a local pick and pull and am going to try to do it myself. Thank you so much for the video
I'm pretty late but always get new bolts. When they're new they can get nice and snug, but if you reuse anything from the old you risk breaking it, stripping it, and it wont be as tight and will really wear down the flange and gaskets fast.
What size bolts
Thanks👍
Your the best
Jon Lewis I'm happy to help
Very good.
+Marco77acv DCS Brasil Thank you for watching and your feedback
Great job but can you mention the sizes used??
tried doing this and the bolts were really stuck, i soaked them in penetrating oil. any tips what to do next?
drxfresh cut them
That rear donut looked wrong to me too, even after you tightened the bolts. Did it do the job or did you change it off camera?
+eldoradony Actually when I saw it my first thought was it was the wrong one but when I look on the Walker web site it was correct. When I installed it there was not leaking at all.Thank for your input and for watching.Jim
Jim, over 96% of diy DO NOT nor can afford a car lift.
Please make a video when you only have 50cm clearance as using jack stands or no jack?
Thank you for taking your time out to share with us.
thank you for your suggestions and for watching.
Yeah, because that would allow for great filming/recording.
Great suggestion. Not.
Thanks for taking the time to record and post, Jim. Very helpful video. And, you're very classy/diplomatic in replying to many of these idiotic comments!
Can u share a link to the parts so I can buy them for myself thanks
You prolly dont give a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. Have been streaming with my brother during the lockdown :)
@Magnus Oliver definitely, have been using instaflixxer for years myself :)
Where can I buy the same exhaust you put on in this video?
FIVEANT If you find out, please tell me. I have a 1999 Honda Civic DX sedan and I've learned already that after-market exhaust systems DO NOT seem to fit where OEM did before.
WSOPKID rockauto.com
Do you have a video of the sound ?
Sorry no.Thanks for watching.
How much did you charge him
Where can i buy the exhaust pipe?
You can buy them from any parts store. Thank you for watching . I'm happy to help. Don't forget to subscribe.
It seems like I always get the wrong gaskets when I replace an exhaust system. They must have someone just throwing anything they feel like into the bags. Nice job anyway, Jim. I love that intro! I was gonna say something about Trump and his wall but I changed my mind....LoL.
+wysetech2000 Thanks for watching.Ya it easy for the parts store to say it will work but we have to put them on .Lol
@@jimthecarguy, First of all, I am very grateful to you for this movie. Are there any considerations to use a dedicated exhaust mounting paste when installing this toroidal gasket? I am asking this because when I was buying exhaust parts in the store, the seller recommended that I als buy this paste:
autochemia.pl/product-pol-320-Sonax-pasta-montazowa-do-tlumikow-170g.html
@@jimthecarguy, First of all, I am very grateful to you for this movie. Are there any considerations to use a dedicated exhaust mounting paste when installing this toroidal gasket? And the gasket is FA1 761-945 It looks like it is made of pressed wire mesh.
