(Jeez, this is long)corny, heres some tips on how to EFFICIENTLY play G&B: step 1: always save your teammates with the sabre, reloading your WEAPON near them or shooting the runner near said teammate is one easy way for your teammate to get a bad rep on you. step 2: use your sabre when in close contact, and try to move back after slashing a shambler or two/more incase the ones behind a shambler that didnt get hit and grabs you, sealing your fate if nobody uses a blunderbuss to wipe most of the horde. step 3:dont get bitten too much, each shambler bite is equivalent to 13% infection, having 50% infection means upon death(not by having your larynx get ripped off by a runner, doesnt include bomber explosion)you will turn into a runner, and if you have 100% your fate is sealed, there is also a special animation for both 50% and 100% upon death, and theres also the music "Impending Doom" playing after getting 100% infection. step 4: dont let the intrusive thoughts win when a bomber is near your teammates. Zombie variant section: theres currently 4 available zombie variations with 2 being unavailable for now. The Shambler, which is the normal zombie with different speeds and different cosmetics such as hats, hairs, clothing and weapons that were stuck on them, as well as the grappling mechanic that will activate upon one shambler grabbing you, the sounds of the shambler is also much more louder upon the mechanic activating and a special animation for it plays, it takes some time to get the shambler off of you, so make sure that you are nowhere near a horde. The Runner/Tackler, theyre the speedier but extremely weak versions of the shambler, theyre the ones that rip your larynx out, and you only got 5 seconds till your larynx is ripped out. The timer also decreases if your health is low, giving you a even more small chance to escape if a teammate isnt near you yet, but they go down with a single hit of a sabre/axe. They also growl and have red eyes which can differentiate between them and the normal shamblers. The Bomber/Boomer, theyre basically the guys carrying both the torch (it never had a torch and had a red light instead of todays torch) and explosive barrels, upon being near a barricade or player, it will light the fuset of the barrel with said torch and drops the torch, activating a 3.3 second timer before exploding, the barrel will also make a hissing sound for nearby players to get away fast from the 10 stud explosion range. The barrel also has damage fall off which can either slow down or knock down players depending on how much damage they took from the barrel. It will turn players into runners if they had 50% or 100% infection, and it can also teamkill other zombies, which can be exploited by players by either shooting it or making it light the fuse. When the Bomber's detonation animation is triggered, it will try to move away from other zombies unless it is near a building or grappled player. The Sapper/Axe zombie, basically the undead sapper version (you cannot do this by just being infected as a player sapper.), it also wields its respective axe which deals 70 damage. 2 hits and your fates sealed. They also appear as any regiment that has a sapper. Theyre tanky and slow. The bayonet headshot instantly kills a sapper unless the game decides it to have 80 hp. (It can have 60 hp to a cap of 80.) The Crawler zombie, basically the shambler form that can nibble on yo shoes. They can only be spawned by a a mod or using private server commands. And finally, the last unavailable zombie variant, The Igniter, the nemesis of Fifer mains, Players who barely do anything to help the team, they focus ONLY on the farthest player, which forces you to be near your team, it also wields a lantern and its right arm is burned off, revealing the arm and hand. Upon throwing the lantern, it will do a AOE damage range which is extremely dangerous to both players and buildings. It can rip apart the 2nd Eiffel tower, The wall of Berlin, Moscow and many more, in just SECONDS. After that, they act like a shambler without the ability to grab. Once again, they can only be spawned by a mod or using private server commands. Anyways off to the tips and tricks. Step 5:Stay with your team if your a newbie, and dont be afraid to save teammates thatve been tackled by the Runner. More lives means the better chances of winning a wave/game. Step 6:Back then, if youd activate horde waves on the final parts of objective games (ex. The Bridge on catacoems, The Bell House on Weepzig.) be prepared to be kicked from the game, thankfully Fez removed the kick option and only the votekill remains. On Sebastian, at that part where u bring up the barrels and hay bake, u gotta have sappers to make defenses and about 4 ppl guarding the saps making the defenses. The saps should repair the walls as they get damaged, and the guards should be blunderbuss’. Wen u get to the next part, snipe the horde down below, then jump. Advance to the little platform that is raised above the stairs. Use that to snipe the next horde. Saps should now build walls bc horde defense segment is right here. I don’t wanna explain the rest bc Sebastian is the longest map rn.
