My 19 yr old son and I have been hiking weekly at sunset for a few months now. We LOVE it! We’re wanting to start a mother/son hiking channel. This is exactly the content I was looking for. Can’t wait to hike all of your suggestions. Thank you!

haha I hear ya. Those two would make the list following so heavy rainfall in San Diego. Dried up cedar creek isn't great and three sisters has so much foot traffic. Thanks for leaving a comment!
I agree I went to Cedar Creek Falls on St Patty's day after a lot of rain the hills were super green, fun river crossings and the falls were flowing unbelievably
I have been hiking more recently and I was wondering if rattlesnakes are a large problem in San Diego. Have you ever encountered any? I’m trying to stay as safe as possible on the trail. Thanks :)
100% found on trails, especially during warmer seasons. Honestly, the best you can do is hike without headphones. Rattlesnakes are generally good about alerting you if you get too close to them. I've seen people walk right next to them with headphones on and luckily, did not get bit. they like warmth. if it's too hot or too cold out, they generally will be underground for warmth. Summer is prime time for them to come out and explore during the day. Stay safe and happy hiking!
I was with my son back in June seen 3 rattlesnakes on stonewall peak trail ,two very small off the trail , but the big one my son seen and jumped crossing the trail but it kept going didn't ever even rattle!
Thanks for this video, exactly what I wanted... Actual hikes.
Be safe and have fun!

do trail lengths include going there and back?
yes, depending on what you explore it could be +- a margin of error, but I account for complete hikes.
