Totally support Finidi! He is very qualified, and I trust him completely
These foreign coaches don't even have the experience that finidi has. He played at the highest level in Europe, that all these foreign coaches don't have!
Exactly... Even his pedigree as a player, he's a quiet guy that's why.
Southgate wasn't big as a player & coach before he got the England job but he has accomplished way more than his predecessors that are highly decorated & had way better CV as ćoaches or players...
I hear you, but being a good player doesn’t make you a good coach. It’s a different job entirely
@EaglesTrackerNG you'll agree with me that it's a plus, and thus should count for something! And, besides Finidi, is a good coach, better than Southgate, in my opinion! And you compare likes to likes, Finidi has won a national professional league, Presario hasn't and was named coach! Sometimes, these decisions we make as Africans boil down purely to inferiority complex! The worship of the "Oyinbo" pervades our national psychic
Lmao come on, there is no justification for saying Finidi is better than Southgate. He won the NPFL but you can’t compare to the league Southgate was coaching in, let’s be realistic here.
Peseiro has won a league title in Egypt, has won the Portuguese cup, finished runner up in the UEFA Cup, and had much more coaching experience than Finidi, coaching a club like Sporting even.
This has nothing to do with inferiority complex please. Be able to be objective in your arguments, or at least check your facts properly.
If you watch the video, I was and still am all for Finidi being given a chance, but making a statement like you have is simply untrue.
Sunny! Good and great contributions. Same with suliamon. Articulation perfect but I hope those that matters at NFF are hearing and taking the positive from this discussion
Clemence Westerhof Was A Complete Nobody Before He Arrived Nigeria 🇳🇬 In 1989, His Will Power & Determination Gave Him Everything He Achieved In Nigerian Football ⚽ For 5Years...
More time is needed for Finidi to study and work with players better. Sometimes i see some lack of technical knowhow in these guys. See for example the penalty caused by the right-full back, used his right leg to tackle in the box. No! Also free kick isnt accurate enough! Our defenders arent tactical enough. Anyone handling this team shd work more on it.
How is the penalty the fault of the coach.
Finidi won’t teach a SE player how to tackle though. It’s not his job to teach free kicks either
Carlos Alberto Pereira Of Brazil 🇧🇷 Coached The Super Eagles 🦅 Of Nigeria 🇳🇬 In 1995 For Short Spell, He Coached Brazil 🇧🇷 & Won The World 🗺 Cup In 1994.
This Finidi debate is too early after only one matched.
It’s really not too early because they’re going to hire a full time coach latest after the June games.
Post Rohr and 2022 WC qualification, I would have preferred Eguavoen to continue. Why? he won all matches at AFCON but one due to a goalkeeping error and also played a draw with Ghana in Abuja due to same goalkeeping error. So for our knee jerk reaction to not qualifying and for Pinnick's obsession with "oyinbo", we had identified the problem;goalkeeping. So scout for a better keeper and move on with Eguavoen. That's history now!
lol there was no goalkeeping error. The goalkeeper just didn’t save a shot.
@@EaglesTrackerNG abi o😂
Amunike and finidi should be given the Job. These inknown foreign coaches they keep hiring only come for the money, they dont give a shit but our Own have an Emotionàl Attachment to the players and country. Finidi's 352 was way better than Ultra defensive Piseiro's 434..As they should bring Inter milan Ebenezer. The Boy that scored Brazil's goal against England is 17 yrs old
This exactly was what crossed my mind when a certain 17yo Endrick scored for Brazil against England
lol Akinsanmiro isn’t even playing first team yet. Its not just about age
@EaglesTrackerNG The 17 yr old Brazilian who scored against England, is he playing 1st Team football. We need to start bringing in these small boys into SE to acclimatize, train with the senior players just Rohr did with Osimhen when Odion was still playing. There is a 16yr old playing for Barcelona. Why do we bring in players when they are almost nearing 30 yrs old?
I can bet my 1 year salary that Nigeria will not go to the next WC if you give the Eagles to this duo you mentioned.
@@precioussoul07 I bet to differ sir
😂the thief wey steal with pen & laptop na sophisticated thief while the one wey thief for market na primitive thief 😅. No be the same thing bros 😂. Sam Bankman Freid and pickpocket no fit Dey the same type of prison na
Why didn't Pesero play Alhassan until the final?
He came on as a sub
@@EaglesTrackerNG he should have started him from the semis to gain match fitness. We all saw how he played in the first match
@ajibadesamuel7227 he struggled in the other games though. You can’t use the first game as justification
He never played again until the final
@ajibadesamuel7227 he did, he’s even the one who conceded the penalty against South Africa
We are now being told that Emmanuel Amuneke cannot be the Super Eagles coach because he has not held a coaching job for some time.
This is a man who won the U17 World Cup for Nigeria and took Tanzania to the Afcon.
Even some North Africans and Europeans think that Amuneke is the best Nigerian local coach. But for whatever reasons, he is not good enough to coach Nigeria. The Egyptians are always amazed at the way that the Nigerian soccer authorities have been treating Amuneke.
As a player and coach, Amuneke has done enough for Nigerian football.
How many Nigerian coaches have gone outside Nigeria to sell their skills?
God forbid Amunike
Of course, Amuneke is very qualified & can do the job creditably well. However, Finidi is there already so should be retained or given right of first refusal I feel is what they are saying...
Winning the U17 World Cup or coaching Tanzania to an AFCON is definitely a different ball game to coaching the Super Eagles, realistically. Again, no one is saying he isn’t a good coach, but he should try to coach actively to have a better chance of a big job like this. Can’t just sit at home for four years and say you’re the best man for the job, when people like Finidi who are active are there.
While not putting down Amuneke, he did not qualify the U20 or Olympics team some 3-4 yrs ago. What coaching has he done since then? In terms of licensing, I think Finidi is most qualified(I stand to be corrected) and he has been humbly coaching locally for 3yrs now which is the way to go. Also, we want to save the Naira and so we go local. That USD we will use to develop other sports. In any case, what result has the foreigh coach achieved that the local coach has not?
I expected finidi to introduce one of the creative midfielders in Nigeria league but he didn't.
Finidi was appointed when it was already too late to invite any player. The players were already invited long before his appointment.
He lack experience..foreign coach beta pls
Nigeria 4 Mali 0
No sir.
lol no explanation?
@@EaglesTrackerNG bcos he’s no different from peseiro. What’s his football philosophy? It’s Same with that of peseiro. I would even prefer Austin eguavoen. yes eguavoen made mistake that cost us World Cup qualification but he have a football philosophy similar to that of pep guadiola. Also The US based Nigerian coach Niesen also have that kind of pep’s football philosophy. The NFF should hire Eguavoen and Niesen as head coach and assistant coach, or they should hire former pep guardiola assistant Domenec Torrent. We need a coach who plays expansive, attacking football, someone not scared to play that brand of football and not scared of any opponent
@luckychukwuma3822 do you prefer expansive football to winning ?
@@EaglesTrackerNG Guy how ur Finidi naa. You dey there dey ask whether I prefer expansive, attacking football to winning. Yeye question. I tell you guys say any coach wen no get a define playing style, a football philosophy that encourages expansive and attacking football should not come near super eagles…if the mumu NFF know what are doing
Lmao did I argue for Finidi ? You mentioned Peseiro who took us to the AFCON final, which is why I asked that question.
You guys should stop it o. You are setting up Nigeria for failure again! Finidi George is not capable to lead this team. Let's not mortgage another world cup appearance on the altar of blind nationalism. If we lose to SA in June, our WC dream may be over.
We should ask how come Africa's biggest economy cant afford to pay $100k per month when Algeria and even Al Ahli pay this to Belmadi and Pitso.
😅
Finidi is eminently qualified. He has the qualifications ,training, exposure and experience.
@@rotimikayode1072 Based on what? What are his achievements as a coach?
We shall qualify for the next world cup, GOD forbid for Nigeria not to qualify, Amen!
So what you're saying is that Finidi coaching future or ability is hinged on one game ie Bafana Bafana, after we've performed below expectation in the several previous games that were supposed to be easier on paper abi... 🤷🏾♂️
@@barezzi0236 God doesn't play football. He is for everyone. You guys are already getting your excuses in early by saying he didn't start the WC qualifiers. The right coach for the Super Eagles is the one who took us within 45 minutes of conquering Africa. He has forged a bond with the boys. That he cannot continue is a slap in the face of the NFF. Now, you replace him with a better tactician, not an inexperienced one who has never handled a similar task before.
Are you guys still clamoring for Finidi? kikikikikikiki😀😀😀😀
Try to listen to understand. No one there was clamouring for Finidi
@@EaglesTrackerNG Read the comment thread. Most want Finidi, Amunike, or other mediocre half-baked coaches.
lol
You people want to gamble with 2026 World Cup Hm.
Tell me, which coach would come in now and not be a gamble ? 🤔 We are already in the thick of it. If someone is doing well, what’s wrong with allowing him continue?
So what are we now saying after the Mali debacle?
That it is a gamble regardless of what decision is taken now. Finidi was the right interim choice for continuity sake, it doesn’t mean he’s the best to have the job on a permanent basis
