@@Redmalicious I like the way he points out how the situation looks good or has gotten crappy. All the little details, on how he divines his opponents energy state by what he just did How he. points out cues that he uses as markers for making the split second winning decisions.
Oh yeah and I get a real kick when he tries something new or gets taken by surprise
And I especially like his gallows humor and sick wit GS is DCS legendary at level 20 and LS is right there with him..

It is always a joy watching two closely matched, very skilled pilots in closely matched aircraft going at it hammer and tong in these DCS dogfights, and pulling every rabbit out of the hat that they can to win. It is very entertaining, and instructive. I confess that after some of the F-22 videos, where the contest seems so one sided that it qualifies as a baby seal clubbing exercise, the first thing to come to mind was "Longshot, you earned that kill, just on Karma alone!". Please do more videos like this! :-D

The Griphen is an epic plane. Those forward canards really give it an edge.
It's an epic failure with so many problems that get overlooked by click-bait AvGeek media, who proclaim it as some kind of fighter marvel.
Mishap rate is very high for a modern fighter, DFLCS wasn't worked out even by the C/D models, T/W is pathetic, and it's so bad Saab hired another marketing firm out if UK to pimp it for them using bribes to foreign defense officials, got caught, admitted guilt, and were fined $400 million for fraud and deceptive overseas marketing practices.
To make it even worse, Saab built $4 billion worth of empty C/D airframes with no orders for them, thinking the Gripen E/F internals could be installed later....
Then realized E/F have to be bigger....it's like a clown show really.

@@jameson1239 Multiple sources, starting with Swedish press, followed by basic math assessing the T/W ratio, followed by the international defense trade stories on the IRAR violations and consequential guilty plea entered by BAE's marketing firm that was hired by Saab, followed by open source historical and aviation safety bulletin reports of the various Gripen mishaps.
The mishaps are clown shoes stuff too. One involved the pilot's g-suit activating the ejection handle when it inflated.
It's an embarrassment really.

High cost for acquisition (each Gripen E/F costs more than the F-35A)

What’s not to like?
I love watching these videos, makes it hard to determine if someone is winning based off of pure skill or because they have a better airframe. Remember the Gripen is just over 10 years newer than the F/A-18 which means it should technically be better than it, but a good/bad or even great pilot evens those odds.

@@henry247 tbh i dont know, i dont play this simulator, and I dont know about these mods, but Gripen E is not that old, visualwise Gripen E is a bit larger than the older version not much but a little. The specs for E are alot more modern and sophisticated thou from what i can find info about on the internet. But all Gripens can be heavily modified for the country that is going to use them so im not really sure I just know it is one promising plane for the future, but i think there is a collaboration of making a 6th gen stealthfighter in europe at the moment and Sweden is Probably involved in that somehow. Sorry for a long and nor very specific answear to your question.

That F/A-18 GS is flying has (what looks like) RCAF roundels on the side. Canada will be evaluating the Gripen along with the Super Hornet and the F-35 to replace its aging fleet of F/A-18s. A lot of digital fighter pilots and armchair experts are putting their support behind the Gripen. The Gripen looks like a winner in the digital realm.
A lot of AvGeeks who don't know about all the Gripen's warts think it's the greatest fighter for the money, without knowing what a scam it is.
