- The Dell XPS 13 is a powerful machine, near Macbook-killer level. One common issue with it is the "boot loop" where the Dell XPS 13 boots to the boot logo then shuts down. It looks to be a common occurrence based on reports from other users, but fixing this should be really easy.
This video will show you how to fix the Dell XPS13 being stuck in the boot logo. This is a very easy fix to the Dell XPS13 boot loop fix. It's as easy as opening the XPS and removing the battery and CMOS Battery. I assume this should work on all Dell XPS model and build. I have the Dell XPS 13 9350.

IT WORKED on my XPS 13 9315. Prior to this, talked to Dell tech support and they said all my data was lost. With your help, I was able to start up again. Thanks.
I've got the same exact model as yours and since I've got it it's been problem after problem. Never buying a Dell laptop ever again.

Hi to all who suffers boot up problem on Dell devices.
I had exactly same problem. I spoke to my friend about it so he advised deleting all hdd partition including boot and recovery and format it. And it worked !!! I did what he said then instated windows 10 64 bit and everything is fine.
Good luck Robert
I can only advice making usb recovery just in case who knows you may need it
Thanks for the advice, Robert!
It worked! In my case when I connected the power adapter it splashed the logo without any loading circle and I couldn't even reboot the computer pressing the power button.
glad to know it helped you sort out the issue
It worked! You saved me from spending a lot of money buying a new laptop! :) Thanks!

Try resetting CMOS battery
I don't have that class battery in my xps13 9310
Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. I also never found the CMOS battery, so I ended up disconnecting the entire motherboard of all cables. Upon startup, I still just get the Dell logo and it never moved past it.
Thank you so much! You're vid saved me a trip to the tech!
You're welcome!
Hahahahah I love the intro. I'm a fan now. And thank you for the help
haha thanks and you're welcome!
This worked! Thank you so much!!!
Glad it helped! You're welcome!
Thanks for the video ! Is it also reset FW of the LCD display of dell xps 13? By mistake I updated FW of my LCD display with wrong FW...
This should not reset the FW of the LCD
life saver! thanks so much dude! :) a very well earned sub!
Glad to know it helped you save your life HAHAHAHA
Hello, I have the same issue with the Inspiron 15 5000 series 64 bit. I don't have access to the battery. This started to happen after the OS recovery. Can I get some help?
If your laptop is under warranty, best to get it checked.
Okay, thank you
Thank you so much dude, you saved my laptop!
You’re welcome!
Idk if that’s your laptop but I fucking love that blink 182 sticker lmao
heya, yep that's my laptop and those are my stickers haha
Will this work if bios is corrupt on ssd? So if i remove ssd i can boot into bios settings and boot from USB , as soon as I try to boot with the SSD installed i can't do anything. Can't boot into windows or bios settings some insight would be hugely appreciated
based on what you explained, your issue is basically a totally different one. You have basically identified the issue with your laptop haha
This works for me and gets the laptop to boot up but as soon as i start to use it then it freezes again and i have to switch it off via the power button and then it fails to load up again. Do you have any suggestions i.e. maybe factory resetting or something?
Does it POST? I think it'd be best to have a technician check on it.
My XPS would boot to the dell logo load screen but go black and then repeat endlessly, f2 and f12 unresponsive so no way into bios. Tried eveything and as a last resort unplugged and replugged every cable I could find. When reinserting the usb daughterboard cable I didn't reinsert it far enough so it was essentially unplugged. Laptop started and functioned normally, except no usb ,of course. Reinserted cable properly , and I was back to endless boot loop.I've checked usb sockets for bent pins and I can't find anything amiss so I ordered a new daughterboard, only $20. Fingers crossed but I thought this might help someone with the same problem.
Were you able to sort it out with a new daughterboard?
I have the same DeLL XPS13 will not turns on no any lights or indicator! and I haver tried all tests ppl sharing on youtube! swapped battery and Cmos battery lots of testing. Can i get some solution please?
It could be hdd failure, again I'm not sure but as I'm writing this my computer is in a boot loop and ive tried alot if stuff to fix it, and this was a day after my computer had fixed its os
No boot normally means a defective supply/battery, or line to the supply. If it's a faulty HDD, it should still boot.
@@ArmedandLoaded appreciate it will get hdd and see.
@@ArmedandLoaded I do remember I did Disc defragment and they say it’s bad for hdd?!
Thank you so much :) my laptop lives :)
You're welcome! Glad it helped!
This didn't work for me.
I believe the windows boot loader/config files are corrupt/stuck in a loop.
I fixed it by creating a windows recovery disk on USB -> boot from windows recovery disk -> repair image. It booted into windows after that.
Glad to know you found a workaround!
sure it worked for me too but after 20 times i'm tired to reopen the laptop again... isn't there a permanent fix ?
will probably have to check further with a laptop technician to check that further or someone commented here about another workaround
Dell Lat 7200 2in1 doesn't have cmos battery how do you help please ?
i can't find the cmos battery in lat 7200 i'm stuck with same issue
Not very familiar with that laptop unfortunately, but i did a quick search on google and i did see a few guides on where it is.
Hey there.... Are u online... If yes kindly reply me asap... I've xps 13 9333 I've opened its back cover but the one you're showing I've a bit different things not much... Can u help me how to do the things with my laptop?
Hey bro. Still need help? What is different when you opend it?
Thanks it works...
You're welcome!
I unplugged the battery and after its a black screen and its beeping, its been about 5 min idk if I should turn it off
Beeping after you have replugged the battery?
@@ArmedandLoaded no after I plugged it to charge because it says this battery is unidentified. So I plugged the battery, then the charger to charge the computer. Then I turned the laptop on and every like 5 seconds it beeps
@@BenjiFlickz Hmmm that's weird. Try to search what the 5 beeps mean for your specific Dell model. You may just to reseat CMOS for that.
@@ArmedandLoaded well I took it to an expert and said that the whole motherboard was damaged and cracked so i ended up selling it like that, thanks for all the support tho
@@BenjiFlickz good thing you were still able to sell that haha
What about for computer?
resetting CMOS battery is the best option.
What's the name of the song?
Hey ill review my file for this video. Im not in front of my PC as of the moment
OMG OMG OMG Thank you so muchhhhhhhh
You're welcome!
@@ArmedandLoaded what about for computee?
I have the same problem on my Dell Inspiron n4010 , it stuck on Dell logo and I can't access to the bios menu even f12 don't function
I just try to find solution on Google somewhere says to update bios or problem can be HDD
But someother time it boot well and sometimes it won't boot I didn't know if the problem iz HDD I will try to do the same as u do tommorow
Wait for feedback
Try to reset CMOS battery. That normally fixes such issues. If not, that could really be a faulty HDD. But please let me know how it goes.
You are awesome
Did you have the same issue and it solved your issue?
@@ArmedandLoaded Yes ı watched you and solve the problem
@@Soft_Kapikommm16 Glad to know that brother!

@@ArmedandLoaded yes they didn't work
@@ArmedandLoaded please help
@@poohshiesty611 Best to have it checked with a laptop technician. Difficult to troubleshoot that remotely :(
What if it’s a pc? My tv is my monitor
Your dell PC is stuck in a boot loop? You may try to reset the CMOS battery.
@@ArmedandLoaded whats that ?
@@Amy-zr3gd did you ever find out what it is
