Thanks from Brazil!
I love how she gets so passionate as she plays. Amazing cover, I hope that one day I'll be able to play like this.
You help to make my day a better day with your beautiful and lovely interpretation. Thanks a lot, from Brasil!!

Hey! I have the same piano. But that’s about where the similarities end.
Ah ah !
Lol!
That's hilarious. I just guffawed out loud. Thanks!
Omg this was hilarious
@@helnyson4694 same LOL
God i love how you seem to own everything you play. I usually hate covers of classics like this, but I want to hear more of you.
Pure delight. Thank you for sharing your immense talent with us.
Vika...yes!! Simon & Garfunkel was one of the most popular duos on the radio when I was growing up. This song is iconic and stood the test of time so well and a favorite of many. Your recreation is so fabulous and full of emotion. You arranged it so well and the performance is second to none....really beautiful. The hair stood up on my arms. Best, -Rock
Incredible. Brought me back to growing up in the 70s. My mother had one of those turntables that was like a piece of furniture that you loaded like 5 records onto. It was constantly loaded with Simon and Garfunkle, Peter, Paul, and Mary, the Carpenters, and such. I found myself tearing up by the end of this recording remembering my mother filling the house with music that back then I thought was so horrible and uncool and yet now have learned to appreciate.
My Dad used to play Kenny Rogers when I was a kid. I still haven't gotten into that type of music. lol.
I think that this is one of the most hauntingly beautiful songs ever written!!
And perhaps the most poetically beautiful too?!
That is BEAUTIFUL! Her arrangements are fascinating. I listen to this one over and over. Same with a few of her other arrangements, too!
This is so inspiring! I see the passion that you put into this! Great Job 👏
Her talent is amazing. The rhythm of her hands. And that toss of her head...u go girl❤️
I watch this at least once a week and it never gets old
Even though I've watched this dozens of times, I always wind up back here. You're amazing.
crikey probably the best thing i have listened to on CZcams for ages, thank you

Bravo Vika! You nailed this one, I could hear Simon and Garfunkel singing through your keys.
Absolutely amazing
Brilliant. Everytime I hear this it just blows me away.
Simply amazing ! Congrats
Most amazing arrangement of this song that I have ever heard ! :-)
I just can’t describe how beautiful it is!!
She dose this so greatly. brings tears to my eyes .... one of the greatest songs ever written
you can really feel the Emotion she Puts into her Work :) One of the best Covers I've heard
SO musical. We love when you play fast, but the slow pieces really show where your talent is, musicality.
My wife passed away last night and this tune has just nearly killed me.
hey man sorry to hear that hope you hang in there.
May her soul rest in peace. and may God help you to go through such a lost..
I'm sorry to hear that. This song'll do it. God bless you.
Hey Simon, sorry to hear about your wife, hope you are ok as best can be.
My stepfather was friends with a professional cellist. At my mother's funeral, I was fine with all the services until ... the cellist started to play. I was so moved that I broke down into tears. Every time I hear a cello, I re-live that moment, and cry a bit. I hope you can come to terms with your loss.
A great version Vika, and your arrangement is awesome. Brava!!!
Love your rendition of the classic song. You bring out so much passion and feeling that I can feel it in my heart and soul Absolutely beautiful
Bravo.
True pianist right here
Hai
Elementaly United oui.
Greate version, great pianist!
I have been looking for the best arrangement of this song. I've listened to dozens, but this is the best by far. Thank you.
So schön wie du es spielst , Leidenschaft pur
I really like how you brought out the base in this song instead of the treble. It sounds so much richer this way! Beautifully done!
Right? She has such a unique and powerful way of portraying every instrument, including vocals. I think she is the best at translating any music to the piano, out of anyone, ever. Seriously, who's better than this? Name them.
You should also check out Josh Cohen and sequioa sounds. They are just as good imo
Reminds me of the disturbed cover of it but this is way before that came out
Está fue mí primera canción en tocarla guitarra a los 10 años, aún a mis 35 años recuerdo como mí madre con los ojos húmedos disfrutaba ese momento al oírme tocandola.
Absolutely fantastic!!
Fantastic. I love see you playing the piano so calm and perfect!! You are the Best Vick
Hearing this it is crystal clear,
Vika's essence is pure powerful emotion.
Hers could fill all of earth's oceans.
To me the power in this beautiful piece,
is how Vika releases deep emotion with such ease and so amazingly.
The words written in this song then
followed in my head all the way along.
And when she came to the end, there wasn't silence.... instead ....
Vika's notes and the song kept on going on.
Vika,
I really love this song.
Spasybi.
So Classy me too
Complimenti ottima cover mi hai emozionato

It´s so great to listen again this beautiful theme in the hands of this such talent! THANK YOU!!
Vika, first of all....sorry you are ill with the flu, but it surely does not show in your brilliant performance and you still look great, too! Simon & Garfunkel were one of the best duos in history and you have managed to capture the very essence of this legendary music!! GREAT arrangement as always and loved the left/right hand melody shift. Such a great combo of finesse and power! So passionate it gave me goosebumps. You're just wonderful and I think this is one of your best :-))) Take care, ~Jackie

No I'm not!!
well, He did create us, and with the ability to think, learn & feel.. but perhaps you want to take credit for being born yourself, even though it was an event absolutely apart from your control?
Beautiful! Love it!
With such passion diligence do but grace you you have with this piece. The more you play, the more I listen.
Виктория, как всегда, восхитительна
она такая
+Konstantin Kolesnikov i feel the same
Can we start a petition to have her perform this live on stage with Disturbed? These two semi-recent covers of this song are as chilling as they are beautiful. I'd love to hear them together
Sounds so beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!
Love it especially when you're playing other songs than just the dark songs. Let’s stick to positivity. This is one of the most beautiful songs ever, played by one of the best musicians ever. Can't hardly wait for more.
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words like silent raindrops fell
And echoed
In the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said, "The words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls"
And whisper'd in the sounds of silence
Hello Darkness, my old friend.
I've come to talk to you again.
Because a vision softly creeping,
left it's seed while I was sleeping.
And the vision... that was planted in my brain... still remains
Within the Sound... of Silence.

When my eyes were stabbed by flash of a neon light,

People writing songs... that voices never shared, no one dared...

And the sign said "The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls... and tenement halls..."
and whispered.... in the Sound... of Silence...
Love it. Thank you for sharing.
beautiful arrangement
Psh, that's not a pianist. That's an angel.
one of your best covers. Here, it's not your technical skills that make it special but the expression and your ability capture the spirit of the original and to keep the flow going. Really waoh!
so stunning!
“The Graduate" classic opening scene
"You can learn how to play some of my arrangements on flowkey"
Beware! it's a trap! ;)
Unless she's posted simplified versions of her arrangements, you'll find out how much skill they take to play properly.
lolol, well, I can peruse them anyways.
I don't understand... why are there ANY dislikes
because insecurities were always there, somewhere residing deep inside their hearts... lol
2 reasons....1. Jealous people who can't play music or were too lazy to learn. 2. Jealous guys who are intimidated that a woman can play like this.
+Larrytheloser People who hit the dislike button by mistake
or no reason, like me :P
because those are fools that do not know, that silence like a cancer grows...
Extraordinary! I loved it
The passion you can notice it's just amazing, great cover! Thank you so much:)
hello darkness my old friend

Very dark sounds of silence . .
Виктория, ваше исполнение превосходно! Большое Вам Спасибо, за ваш труд, и возможность слушать и видеть Вас! Вы одна из самых лучших исполнительниц в мире...
Totally beautiful, your rendition of this great song expresses the passion it was written to be performed by
Hello, darkness, my old friend.
...I just had to XD
Love you Vika, but I really have a disconnect when you screw with the original tempo. If the original artist wanted it played faster, they would have played it faster. You're being disrespectful when you alter the tempo to show off your (admittedly amazing) talent. Learn to appreciate the artist's mood. Would you play Bach at 1.3X speed? I think not.
Pappyman - You are a total abject loser. Your comment - 'I think not'....really? I doubt that you think at all. 'Learn to appreciate....' - good point. You should try it some time.
John Calandrello
I completely appreciate her talent and enthusiasm. Her range of genres is astounding; talent just oozes from her, in every caressing touch of the keys. However, having mixed many dozens of songs, I know exactly what changing the tempo does to alter (or diminish) the mood of a song.
There is a point where the notes fly by so fast that there is no time to properly experience the emotion of the performance, and all you're left with is the impression that the performer is mechanically impressive. Alas, the soul of the music has left the building.
Compare artists like Jimi Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn with say, Joe Satriani (or even Eddie Van Halen). All are very talented guitarists. One side inspires joy, sadness, contemplation, anger, awe and wonder and the other inspires technical envy (if anything at all). Vika broke that boundary for me (on this particular song).
I offered Vika a polite, informed, considered opinion for how she might improve her current performance [constructive criticism], and you decided to white knight for her as if she needs anyone to speak for her. What an ass you are. Vika doesn't need you to speak for her, she's a perfectly competent and impressive person in her own right.
Clearly, I think a lot, so you can shove your Ad hominems up your ass. I'll leave it to others to decide which of us is the abject loser here.
Pappyman: Question - what makes you believe that my intent was to to speak for Vika? For the record, my reply was directed to your comment which I viewed as pompous, judgmental criticism that was not 'constructive'.
In the domain of “Learn to appreciate..’, noting your strong emotive reaction to being criticized: ‘What an ass you are.’ and ‘….you can shove your Ad hominem(s) up your ass.’, perhaps you can appreciate that unsolicited criticism, no matter how benign, direct or veiled, is rarely favorably received.
On the other point, please accept my apology for name calling. No excuse, it was wrong.
John
"Pappyman: Question - what makes you believe that my intent was to to speak for Vika?"
Gosh, I dunno. Maybe the fact that you opened with "You are a total abject loser." and "I doubt that you think at all.", followed by a complete lack of addressing my point about tempo? It wreaks of a big brother protecting little sis for no rational reason other than her being your little sister. Do you disagree with my point about tempo or not?
"For the record, my reply was directed to your comment which I viewed as pompous, judgmental criticism that was not 'constructive'."
And yet, you said absolutely *none* of that, so how the fuck would I have ever gotten *that* message from your ad homs? Basically, you "feel" that you didn't like my tone, so any actual points, and any actual facts, are irrelevant, and I only deserve ad homs as a response ???? WTF dude?
You just inserted yourself into a conversation between me and Vika because you didn't like my attitude, and in no way were you defending Vika's honor? Yeah, right.
Do you disagree with my assertion that accelerating the tempo changes (IMO, ruins) the mood of the song or not?
"...noting your strong emotive reaction to being criticized: ‘What an ass you are.’ and ‘….you can shove your Ad hominem(s) up your ass.’, perhaps you can appreciate that unsolicited criticism, no matter how benign, direct or veiled, is rarely favorably received."
First, my so called "strong emotive reaction" was simply a response to your irrational opening ad homs and had absolutely nothing to do with any criticism; there *was* no actual criticism present in your original comment, just ad homs and "feels".
The only possible criticism could have been that (in your mind) I did not appreciate Vika's talent or performance. Well, that would be in the realm of opinion, so just fuck you, if you don't like *my* opinion. However, as clearly stated in my last two comments, I do very much appreciate Vika's talent, and I love over 90% of her covers, so your so-called "criticism" is demonstrably 90% false. You would know that if you had read either of my two follow-up comments with the intent of actual comprehension before posting your latest comment.
Second, anyone that publishes a youtube video and leaves comments enabled *is* soliciting comments by default, so your "unsolicited criticism" claim is also demonstrably false.
Third, if criticism is honest, factually correct, intended to be constructive, and presented in a way that is not overtly antagonistic and yet, it is received as an assault, then the fault lies with the receiver, not the sender. When the offended receiver is NOT the actual target of the comment, then you're just being a white knight, and going out of your way to be offended on behalf of someone else, and that's just fucking stupid.
Fourth, if you are going to quote me, then don't fucking change my text... "Ad hominem(s)". Just how dishonest are you ????
Fifth, if someone opened a conversation with "Love you PappyMan, but..." I would absolutely be interested in their opinion, whether I felt it was valid or not. However, when someone opens with "Pappyman - You are a total abject loser.", I'm a bit less likely to take them seriously.
So, are you ever going to address my point about tempo, or just continue to try to dig yourself out of this hole -- all the while, trying to lay the blame at my door?
"On the other point, please accept my apology for name calling. No excuse, it was wrong."
Yeah, well that pretty much set the tone for this entire conversation -- didn't it? Perhaps you should do something to fix that?
I will absolutely accept your apology as soon as you address my original point about tempo or just admit that you were a complete dick for no other reason than (in your mind) you thought I had an attitude problem, and you needed to put me in my place (while completely ignoring the factual content of my original comment).
Did you bother to watch the three videos that I posted -- to fully understand my tempo argument?
I didn't think so.
I would like everyone to remember that this is a cover of said piece. And in my opinion a cover is the artist's tribute and interpretation of a song. I think that a good cover rarely is an exact copy of the original. It is supposed to be recognizable but still have somewhat of an original sound and I think Vika pulls this one off quite nicely. I honestly couldn't tell the difference in the tempos of this one and the original but of course I'm just a person with no formal musical education so what do I know.
ive never heard a song like this come alive so much through a piano you play beautifully
LOVE watching and hearing you play.
That was fantastic.
Powerfully played with emotion and soul.
Beautiful, Vika. Simply beautiful.
Words cannot express the sheer levels of awesome in this cover. How could it have taken me so long to find your channel?
Gosh this song is so powerful and bone chilling with vocals and as always vk takes it to a whole new level.
I doubt that I will ever see a tune as beautiful as this.
Excellent as always........ Thank You.
wow, simply beautiful and brilliant
Simply beautiful
Fantastic, beautiful, Thank you
