Kerala caters around 3.5 to 4 million migrant workers. The workers come from around 25 states, as it provides the highest daily wages in the country. The people who migrate due to lack of employment, poverty, extreme climatic conditions, find a better living in Kerala. They find the state stable, socially and economically. They are employed in agricultural, non agricultural sectors, factories, construction companies and many of them even run small scale ventures. The longest migration corridor in the country was found in the state where laborers from Dibrugarh in Assam migrate to southern districts of Kerala. Here they explain why they have migrated, why they stay back in the state for many years and what Kerala means to them. Here is their Kerala story.

I am a Pakistani working in uae , most of the Indians hates me for no reason , I have changed lot of rooms for the reason , some of them try to assault me , use bad words
Later I changed my room to another room , I was so feared cause I am 21 years old first time in uae , the contractor said it was also Indian room
My room mates was bunch of malayalees (people from Kerala )
1 is a Muslim and rest 4 of them are Hindus
I was so feared at first day , but they never treated me bad , they always cared me
Not a single bad word
I always thought every Indian hates me because I am Pakistani
But my whole thought changed instantly after 1 day spending with them
On this day it’s turning 6 years with them
Two of my roommates are having marriage this month ,i really wanted to attend the marriage
Never attended an Hindu marriage before ,
But I pray for them for a happy married life

Then why does the CM and political bags of kerala travel to America and Europe for medical treatment When u say that kerala has the best healthcare system among other states? I've worked in Kerala for 2 yrs and this is actually true. Wages for blue collar workers are higher in Kerala, but one major thing to note is that the salary for some white collar workers is literally peanuts. They earn less than the daily wage earners. The software industry is Kerala employs a good chunk of their youth, but the pay is relatively low when compared to other states.
Thats basically demand and supply. You got less people to do hard labor and more demand for them. Its the opposite for white collar jobs. And thats the same in all developed countries. I live in Australia and here an electrician earns more dollars per hour than a software engineer.
Education is the problem in Kerala everybody have the infrastructure needed to education . only 50% people pass plus two then it's ok like in Gujarat caste based education system is much better 13 aur 14 percent people half the right to education in old India that is the much much better India Jay Bharat Jay Hindustan

In 80's and 90's Keralites used to go to other stated and gulf as unskilled labourers in small jobs. But each person's family benefited, kids studied and their life got better. So there is a gap in Kerala as the lower strata of society got raised, there is no one to do the unskilled jobs. Also the skilled people also started migrating overseas for better jobs and to more western countries. So we needed the guest workers.

Everybody agrees that Kerala is awesome because "they are educated' but most of India don't really understand what that means. When we say Keralite are educated, it does not mean we have many degrees. It means that we are an informed society and we have more freedom of speech. Years ago, the good political leaders we had made the wise decision to give literacy to everyone. Ie, equal literacy to everyone irrespective of their social status. That was a success. All of us became literate and it enabled us to inform ourselves on what's happening around us. This literacy and freedom of speech gradually enabled us to "think" more and "ask questions" and express ourselves creatively. We became EMPOWERED and BRAVE because values of TRUTH and honesty was encouraged in our culture.
Do you know that in Kerala our comedians are free to mock politicians on TV? They make joke about any politicians and we all laugh. If you try to do that at North or other states, your house would be burned down but we can do that in Kerala because we are an informed society.
I am not here to brag. I am here to share with my fellow brothers and sisters on what works and what's needed to build our nation. Take the lesson from Kerala - Any society that values truth and honesty WILL develop and equality in literacy and education is the first step towards that progress.
What is the meaning of "informed society"?

No Buses to tourist places, no maintenance..
Only videos... Munnar id good because Tamils Atleast make noise..
Kerala people don't know English or Hindi..
Women are Pardha. Seperate seats for men and women in Buses
What age are u?.
I got out to Theni and Madurai... Very good and very cheap...
Kerala only video work... Chuthiya
Yet , the murder , crime rate and drug related issues are at an all time high . There are some serious underlying issues playing in the background in Kerala which people are not aware of .

As a mallu ..iam very happy that you are living a better life

Yes, I agree that there are some negatives too as mentioned in the end of the video.
But we will work on it , correct it and again and again we will try to be the best..

Always welcome ❤️ love from kerala
An extra note ; the quality and quickness of work these guest workers are providing are top notch . Most of us over here prefer them over native labourers.
Their contribution is valued in people's minds .
But a racist approach do exist , but to a lesser extent .
True 💯
The best part is now people are moving to Kerala with their wives and children. If the wife also works both can live an amazing quality of life which they cant in their own states. No matter what, every child goes to school in Kerala, there is no child labour there. The quality of government schools are also very good in Kerala. Plus they benefit from all nutrition and welfare programs given to school children.
I hope that the other states can learn from Kerala. When the migrant workers' kids get educated and maybe work in their own states at higher levels, they can teach them that culture they saw and learned as well. Maybe the North can end up becoming more peaceful as people see that the way they live is not the only way to live

Kerala always adipoli… ❤ from neighbor TN….

As a Malayali, I feel proud to see this But in this. This is nothing to be surprised about It is normal things in Kerala... I ❤ Kerala
I am a Malayali currently living in Ireland.. we six people share a home in which 4 are from Kerala and 2 from Maharashtra... Those 2 came late and joined us.. The first day itself they asked us about our religion and caste.. We 4 were together for more than 6 months before they came.. we never knew each other's caste until they asked us about that.. we were really surprised when they asked that.. we were thinking what they wanted by knowing our caste details.. Maybe they grew up in a society who discriminate on caste basis and we grew up in Kerala where knowing each other's caste is not a common thing
Kerala people are very nice 👌 I love their generous nature 😊
Glad to see this...Kerala is a textbook to some other parts of the country in a lot of ways..Proud Mallus assemble here...😍😍😍😍
Major benefits for their kids.. They are getting quality and free education ❤
Thanks for sharing, From kerala ♥️
I am a malayali Christian . We have Hindu & Muslim migrant workers living with us in harmony. We give them sweets and food when there is a celebration or festival and they also give us snacks on their festival also.
" People are well educated here !" ❤️💯 Much needed line !!!!!
Didn't know wages were less in other states. I'm from Kerala. Even today i had two people working on some construction stuff. They were somewhere from north. I paid them 1000 each. It's normal here
Kerala has the highest labour wages in India
That's why North Indians come here😄
And Malayalees become jobless.. And go to abroad.
@@MS-co4e no nammuk white collar jobs vennam
@@MS-co4e Which Malayali was volunteering to do these jobs though? It's because there was no one to do these jobs that people from outside the state were brought in. Most are educated (degree-level) so they're not willing to do these kinds of jobs. I'm a Malayali, and I know for a fact that not one person I know is willing to do these jobs, but they're okay with doing it in Gulf countries for higher wages than this. So they leave Kerala, make money and come back home for retirement. That leaves no one to do manual labor in Kerala, so these workers from other states are a blessing for people who want to get these jobs done

im proud and happy as a keralite and we also get a lot of help..eg i have friends who is a migrant she teaches me a lot of things I MEAN LOTS ..language,culture,food and im very happy that we all can can learn about eachother so much and live unitedly
one comment which most of them mentioned among wages, nice people, childs education etc. was... "we are eating properly" !!! Povery is real in many parts of India.. many survive with just one meal in a day.. happy to know Kerala is being to help in some way..!
I could see "I am a hindu who lives in muslims house" comments are hitting well in the comment section. As a Keralite I don't feel anything special about it. It is very normal here. Our politicians are saying don’t look at Kerala, so I tried to study about Kerala and I surprised I found all these…. .
Kerala India`s most idyllic state,
Kerala is one of India's most progressive states in terms of social welfare and quality of life.
Kerala is one of India's highest literacy rates, Hundred percent literacy.
Kerala is one of India's highest life expectancy and lowest child mortality rates.
The literacy rate for women in Kerala is one of the highest in all of Asia.
Kerala has a world-class health care systems.
Kerala has been in the forefront of communal and religious harmony,
and so on and so on… .
Again for this, Kerala stands unique among all other states in India.

And thanks for guest workers for coming in Kerala, you are building our state in our lack in this kind of field ❤
🔥 this is real kerala story👏
We live peacefully with all religious because there is no bjp
💯
Everyone is same in kerala actually unity in diversity is in some states like kerala. Indias backbone is unity in diversity. Many type people same soul.
Kerala is communal state. Hindus and Christian are secular but Muslim are no different from other world, they have Seperate party, Seperate Electorate. Muslims want Kerala to ruled by Muslims and Practice Sharia Laws.
I grew up celebrating Christmas, Eid, Onam and Vishu..We get biryani on the occasion of Eid from Muslim neighbours.. payasam and all from Hindu families on the occasion of Vishu..same way my mom gives appam and all during Christmas and Easter...If you ask me my favourite festival is Onam.
Now come to shabarimala as a tradition all devotees visit arthunkal church (Christian) vavars mosque (Muslim) before going to ayyappa temple (Hindu)..
We simply don't accept if someone portrays the acts of some religious lunatics and idiotic people, as the reality of Kerala.
The venomous Sangh pariwar tries to malign this great heritage of secularism and harmony of the state for temporary gains..
Sadly this is fading everyday😢 . Cannot blame only bjp, but other people are also running hidden propaganda and the rift is forming slowly.
Bro ❤
Yes me also❤
You have a brainwashed Mind.
Kerala has Seperate Political party Based religion called Muslim League. It 99.9percent vote share is from Muslim community,. It has 21 MLA s.. Kerala is typical example of Political Islam.. Not secular.
No other state is this way. Ok
You can celebrate whatever you like but truth is without Jesus Christ everyone will go to hellfire and that's not hurting others but that's the truth.

@@mlg1279have u ever been into kerala😂??
oud to be a Keralite. I was recently in Kerala. To carry out some work, we contacted a laborer who turned out to be a Bengali. He spoke to us in good Malayalam. He did a good job, and we gave him 100 Rupees more than what was agreed,
I'm from Thrissur, Kerala and even though there are so many guest workers here, when u compare the numbers to places like perumbavoor , it's relatively lower.
I recently went to perumbavoor(first time there) and was returning back around 3pm. My dad and I were famished, so we went to a bakery/hotel (not of a North Indian cuisine). The seats were completely occupied by people of all kinds- there were guest workers, malayalee families of all classes, youth hanging around in groups... - all eating the same food, talking, laughing. The Muslim guy at the counter asking everyone if they liked the food, smiling, thanking the people.
We went to the local bus stand and I was baffled by the amount of these workers there. Some were with their families buying groceries, clothes, trolleys, school stuff etc. The boards on the buses had names of places written in both Hindi and Malayalam. People were communicating in whatever little Malayalam/Hindi they could knew...
Whatever little racistic/xenophobic thought I had regarding this in my mind died that day!
I've never visited kerala. But heard so many good stories about them. The people from Kerala were really nice and well educated, soft spoken wherever i came across them. ❤
True till ISIS PFI and Communists took over...Now they paint white on all the black shades...Its sitting on a nuclear bomb. Those dumps who say that there is communal harmony are either PFI, ISIS or communists...This channel itself is funded by the death basxxxd Soros. When people say that there were no communal riots, 1921, Maraad, Poonthura, Bheemapally are all riots initiated by terrorists...
Thanks for the good words brother.. Welcome to Kerala. 🙂
