They finally fixed the heating issue as well. Owned several Pixels from the 4XL to the 8 Pro. This is a breath of fresh air. Making a bold move as the Pixel fold will be available to phone carriers in Canada this year.
@@erls5206I saw some videos testing it out. The scrolling is still choppy in some apps compared to Samsung and Apple, but it doesn't look like the buggy mess that the other Pixels were.
I have had my pixel 9 pro xl for 2 days now returning back to Android from my iPhone 13 pro. Was a little laggy in a few apps, just didn't seem smooth but I upgraded to the Android 15 beta and its buttery smooth now. So far, I am very happy and should enjoy this phone for the next 3 years on my plan.

For me, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is the phone of the year. As someone with a disability, I love the voice command feature-it's just impeccable, even better than on the iPhone. The streamlined and minimalist Android interface, especially in the settings, is another strong point. However, I'm not ready to switch from my iPhone just yet for the simple reason that the iPhone is still superior in terms of photo and video quality. The day Google understands that instead of focusing on unnecessary artificial intelligence, they should focus on surpassing the iPhone in photo and video capabilities, it will be a game-changer. You’re capable of it, Google-you have the money and the talent to surpass Apple. What are you waiting for?
In many ways the pixel is on par if not better than the iPhone camera at this point. If that's all that is holding you back from switching I would reconsider.
These reviewers need to stop mentioning that this phone looks like an iPhone, as if the iPhone was the first to have that design. The Android Essential phone had that design before Apple.

The only 3 things stopping me from buying Pixels is their 1. Build quality - got my power button come off even while using it as a secondary device ( Pixel 5 ) 2. Overprocessing - Photos are too much over sharpened which is too bad for people photography but amazing for nature photography 3. Potrait Mode - The best lens is un-usable and doesn’t exist in potrait mode + edge detection is so bad + background blur looks like a filter that you can’t perfectly manually adjust while taking a photo ( Pixel 9 series )

Two things that bother me on the Pixel phones that not a lot of reviewers talk about. 1. PWM dimming and how google handles this 2. The modem issues inside of the previous pixel phones. Does it get comparable signal to other flagships. Our P6P really stinks.
modem got improved now but stil behind x modem hardware. but not more so many lags and singnal looses now. and the pixel 9 have nothing to do with flagships, the pixel 9 is a S24 housing with 300$ phone hardware. android 15 release is now delayed t2 moths longer coz the exynos hardware can not handle android 15 to run smooth. pixel 9 got 1/2 to 1/3 of the performance from flagship hardware and it have on that way nothing to do with it.
@@fredrikfjeld1575 yeah but Samsung has not always been the most reliable in the signal category. My OnePlus outpaces my Sony Xperia, Samsung last gen ultra, every pixel phone I have had from 6 pro to 8. Just a shame they can't get the basics down.

I can only think of one reason. 7 OS updates. But because it launched with 14 it will count as one. So this phone will get the same amount of update as the pixel 8

I don't think it actually looks like an iPhone. More so the shape but not the actual design at the back. Battery life will probably be ruined in future updates as Google always does. If you point towards the sunlight or night lights it gets awful lens ghosting
I switched over to the Pixel 9 from an iphone because it looks and feels similar to one so I think that's a plus. Love my iphone but got tired of the Apple box.
I really recommend using this phone to only play light or medium games, because playing heavy games is so laggy! This phone takes beautiful photos with AI editing, and the battery is also good at 5060Mah :v
Disappointing to consistently see little to no improvement on the Pixel's portrait mode. Background blur is way too severe and the cut-out is way too inaccurate. I never use it now. Also massive bug bear is when cat's whiskers are cut off! Can AI not fix this?
Completely agree with the lackluster iPhone styling and boring colours. However the software is probably the best going. How is the performance for gaming? For example with Dolphin or Citra emulator???

Saw a review yesterday or earlier today that said it was comparable to his S24 ultra the past two weeks when it comes to signals.

It is but it's too big for a non-baskrtball player sized hand to use one handed without contorting your grip. I want that matte display tho.
