    Nice video! we own quite a few Spanish knives ourselves and a lot of Joker knives We love them all 😊 The one we use on the videos is the Canadiense. We also use the Erizo ( the neck knife). We also drink a lot of balsam tea. We will definitely try the Chaga cedar combo. Thanks for the suggestion! Cheers from the Townships Qc 👍

Will be a nice addition and different style than most of my knives. Seems like a real do-it-all design. Scandi’s are nice carvers but a versatile camp knife for me should be good at food prep. The Ember F looks like a knife I would use! They are all great ,but only the Ember covers my taste. I only use scandi to carve wood which is a rare ocasion. The Nomad doesn't have enough edge stability for my taste of a hard use knife, but a great slicer so not bad at all! The Pukko style knives not only look great, but also look better than some original Pukkos from Finland. I have n't used them ,to see how the sensitive scandi edges hold with their steel, but I guess they would be ok for normal cutting tasks!
    Really enjoed the presentation! Have a good one!

    • @danielcharbonneau222
      @danielcharbonneau222  Před 2 lety +2

      Thanks for dropping by Greek Veteran. Yeah I agree, the Ember F is a nice slicer for sure, no doubt. I do have to agree that scandi grind fits better with carving wood tasks. The Puukkos, I do like the fit and feel in my hands. I've used all three in the kitchen just to see haw they would perform, and that's not their place. Their place is carving wood. As for the Nomad, well that's the newest Joker to my collection and so far I had no edge problems as of yet with it's convex grind. I've done push cuts, notches and chopping tasks and still I have not had any edge issues, still razor sharp from factory. Only time will tell. Till next time take care.

I don’t strike ferro rods with my knives either. So cedar bark and chaga? Hmm, I have some of each maybe I’ll try it out. Dang it…that nomad is awesome! I just really want a puukko, nessmuck and kephart….the others are just an added want 😉😂. I like the test with chaga…I always heard that you can use it for tea and dry it out and it would still accept a spark from the ferro rod. Unh whoda thunk?
