You're paying them to do so. It's not out of the kindness of their hearts. I'm not saying bering isn't awesome, but it's their responsibility to do what is necessary to build the boat.

What a brilliant video! The hull looked absolutely massive and there must have been a few twitchy bums around when the crane had the hull in the air waiting to turn it the right way up. Once the superstructure was in place it looked really gigantic! It will be such a beautiful yacht when finished, especially with all the detailed design input from the two of you. The excitement is certainly building. Well done.

The sheer size and mass of that ship makes me think of military ships, even submarines. Which makes me wonder: Could you run your yacht on nuclear power if you needed to? Could it be refitted for that?

First of all, are you nuts? That’s extremely expensive…. And doing so would drastically limit where you could make port.
@@Matt-yg8ub I doubt this ship will enter very many ports; it's more likely to use tenders. And I'm thinking ahead: in 10 years, it might be difficult to impossible to get petroleum-based fuel. (Though biodiesel is a possibility.)

i find the whole build process pretty incredible, its amazing to see a hull build upside down, makes a lot of sense, but having to flip it by crane looks very demanding and a tad precarious, especially lifting from one side which i think shows the strength of the hull, you would think Baring might have made a cradle that can be mounted like a rotisserie, but then cranes are still required to lift on the aluminium superstructure - it quite a feet of engineering, make do and overcome - great work they do and thanks NautiGuys for sharing this epic story

Its so amazing all the work that goes into building a Bearing. Im curious why no gantry crane in 1st building. Alot of time saved instead of mobile crane. But overall its preety awesome to see process from start to now cant wait to see from now till the end
They probably aren’t really saving time with a gantry crane over a couple mobile cranes that can service different vessels of different sizes and types in that building at the same time

I love Bering yachts. They have a very pugnacious look to them. I've often wondered what their take on a Motorsailer would look like. (Personally where boating comes into things for me, I prefer a motorsailer over a pure motor yacht or sailing yacht, they don't do either great, but they do both well if designed well, and Bering designs their ships great, so... yeah. I'd love to see their take on one. Not that that type of ship is in their stable, but.. a gal can always wish).

I was watching this as it popped up as recommended… I’m thinking wow this is a big boat and it looks like it’s going to be a tough world traveler. I’m expecting its a complete build, just from the title, as it is getting near the end of time I realize this isn’t going to show completion, so now I need to go look for “the next” video. That’s when I see the video is 9 hours old…. there isn’t a next yet. So I go to the beginning to watch the first video. It literally wasn’t until then that I realized it was YOU TWO! 😂 I’ve been watching your videos on and off for a few years now, but in typical CZcams fashion, it’s not very good at recommending videos from channels you’ve watched. They say it’s an algorithm “blip”, I say it’s on purpose! After all of the vids I’ve watched on Styles…. this new channel SHOULD have shown up a long time ago!
Oh well, it didn’t but I stumbled on you from a google home page… it took a while to realize who this boat was for, and I am super happy for you both!! All the yachts you’ve been on, reviewed, found the pros and cons of each…. OF COURSE a custom build is the only way to go! It’s really interesting that they didn’t do a full test fit of all of the hull plates before welding them on. Really interesting that they introduced one hull plate at a time like that. I would’ve thought a full hull test fit would’ve been a good sense-check or a QA check during the process.
