I start mine at -20F for plowing snow up here in interior Alaska...plug it in to heat the engine block for an hour, prime the carb with 3 pumps and starts great. Trickle charge so battery is fully charged.
We have a Suzuki Quadrunner 500, which Im assuming has the same engine as this Suzuki-powered Arctic Cat, and the thing takes a beating and keeps on running. Does this Cat have an CVT belt transmission? The Suzuki has a traditional transmission, which we like alot for the low-speed hauling we do with it. It can be a bit temperamental starting in the cold weather though.

I think I have water somewhere in my throttle so on the cold days I have to run the thumb warmer just to keep it from freezing
Do you have a block heater?
@@chrisE815 Yes I usually plug in for a couple hours when its cold and it can be -40 most winters here.

The Artic cat does have a belt. Never had any trouble except the time I was stuck in the swamp and let a little smoke out.
